General 'whatever'.

This is a revival of Yuki's "What do you eat?" thread, and is for food discussion. Likes/dislikes, what we ate today, things we want to try, stuff like that. For me, so far today, I had a chicken salad and french fries, and that's basically it. I do also have to admit an addiction to French and Italian bread. So, post away and don't make each other too hungry, or un-hungry, whatever the case may be

So Odin brought up the idea of doing a podcast for our site. I think it's a great idea myself. So what I think is best, is if we can get a team of 3 guys. this way there is lower pressure on each guy. we can use skype to set up a three way conversation and can record it and put it to youtube or put it to a thread in mp3 format. or both. first port of call is getting some guys together who want to do this. after that, we can look at what we would be talking about. I think if we just pick a general topic, then we can see how it goes. we could end up talking about anything, from our perceptions of kamen rider or super sentai, to our ideas about where guyver is headed…

Captain America is one of my favorite characters and I'm getting really excited about the upcoming movie. It was already confirmed that Christ Evans will be taking the lead role of the famed Avenger. My question is, how will this affect the whole franchise of Marvel movies seeing that Evans already appeared as the Human Torch in the earlier Fantastic Four movie? I'm also somewhat skeptical about his performance since I percieved him as somewhat immature in his earlier roles. I was hoping that they would cast an unknown actor for the titular role. Also, good news is that they casted Hugo Weaving as the Red Skull. I respect Weavings acting skill and I'm looking forward to…

For myself, I'm a fan of Tom Clancy's style; lots of juicy details I can sink my teeth into. I like K.A. Applegate's Animorphs series, it's strangely like Guyver in its way. In fact, I don't think I would have gotten so deep into Guyver if I hadn't started out with Animorphs.

Well the movie is out. What did you all think of it? I rather enjoyed it. And my date, who really isnt into Star Trek liked it to. I was determined not to get spoilers because this is important to me. These past few months I've been slowly evolving into a star wars junkie. This film does not disappoint me. I want to say I really like the episodes 1 2 and 3. This is a topic that I'd like to reserve for the discussion of weather. What we think about it, how it is in one's area of the world, likes/dislikes, anything to do with weather. To get started, at least this weekend will be great, sunny and highs in the 70s and it'll be almost 80 tomorrow. But then Monday it'll get stormy and though the high will be around 70, by Tuesday it'll cool down to lower than 40 for a high. I've had enough of winter, and it's the middle of April... Review So I went to see Man of Steel last night, and found it enjoyable. For those looking for something emotional, take in the beginning of the movie as much as you possibly can, because after Kal El comes to Earth, the emotional tone is pretty flat. I know quite a number of people who aparently dont have, or cant remember having dreams. Personaly I dream every night, but forget most of them through out the day unless they are especialy vivid or distinctive. For me the theme is usualy based on something that has passed through my mind during the day, but I've not spent too much time thinking about. hi all. I think we need a new subsection for the "techie" stuff since no debate is involved here. Not to mention that we have no section dedicated to seeking help. Asking technical help from a debate section doesn't seem to be appropriate. Anyway, i'm really stumped. My pc is shot and i'm trying to fix it without having to replace everything, because its an old model (p4 dual core bought on 2007). I first tested the memory and it failed so i bought a new ram (1gb ddr2 667). It detects the ram now when it boots up, but it won't get past the boot screen. Ok in a surprising move the title of the sequel to Ridley Scott's Prometheus will be called Alien: Paradise Lost. While not much is known about the plot yet this simple change does raise a few question. And how will this effect Neill Blomkamp’s Alien movie?

Just currious. Anyone here taking any form of martial arts? If so what kind and what rank? Ive got about five years of martial arts expirience in various styles and i was looking to see if anyone else had any and wanted to discuss some things. Also, if youve never done any but have comments id appriciate that too. Basically anything general on martial arts. Weapons styles work too, even if youve never had professional training in them. I have Bo staff and Japanese sword training, and im taking Sai and Nunchaku training now.
