This is something I've been playing around with for a little while, so I thought I'd start up a thread where I post something nostalgic, and see how many people here remember it. To start things off, let's begin with something I'm sure most of you will know... So...do you remember?

Well the movie is out. What did you all think of it? I rather enjoyed it. And my date, who really isnt into Star Trek liked it to. Granted I'd have to see the movie all over again to put my own little summary like I wanted to do with Cloverfield. But hey, it gives me a reason to se the movie again I do like how it started off with the Kelvin. But what I liked the most of the movie which sealed my fate into seeing it, was the Enterprise's design from the very first trailer. It had more features of the Refit/1701-A which lead me to believe it was going to be a Hybrid of both the TOS and TMP ships. Which I loved. But what confused me the most was Engineering. There was no …

So Odin brought up the idea of doing a podcast for our site. I think it's a great idea myself. So what I think is best, is if we can get a team of 3 guys. this way there is lower pressure on each guy. we can use skype to set up a three way conversation and can record it and put it to youtube or put it to a thread in mp3 format. or both. first port of call is getting some guys together who want to do this. after that, we can look at what we would be talking about. I think if we just pick a general topic, then we can see how it goes. we could end up talking about anything, from our perceptions of kamen rider or super sentai, to our ideas about where guyver is headed…

Can't believe nobody has posted this here yet. Lion-O and the warriors from Thundera will be back on television next year in a new animated series set to air on Cartoon Network in 2011. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, the new "Thundercats" series will be the studio's first project to use anime-style animation, and promises to be a "21st century reimagining" of the classic '80s cartoon series. According to the studio, the new series will appeal to both longtime fans and newcomers to the universe of Lion-O and his Thunderan brethren. Calling it "a sweeping tale combining swords and science and boasting ferocious battles with the highest of stakes," the studio …

Yeah, I thought it was time for a thread devoted to my favorite American armored superhero. He is so very different from Sho Fukamachi. And yet, I have the feeling they would get along very well if they ever met. So... who is this guy, anyway? And where did he come from? Okay. Set the scene. It's 1963. Marvel comics has been publishing superhero comics now for a few years and things are going fine. The publishing house sets itself apart from DC, the company that invented the 'cape' genre, by having heroes that a) didn't wear capes (except for Thor, but he gets a pass because he's, like, two thousand years old) and b) had to deal with cra…

I know quite a number of people who aparently dont have, or cant remember having dreams. Personaly I dream every night, but forget most of them through out the day unless they are especialy vivid or distinctive. For me the theme is usualy based on something that has passed through my mind during the day, but I've not spent too much time thinking about. The most common elemelts used to be the building of my old bording school. That and a strange lack of people. I almost always feel like there is only small population. I guess it feels sort of like a film where you are only concentraited on a few characters and not much outside their world seems to exist. There have been a…

I'm not gonna write the spoilers right here. because you might have clicked by accident. I watched it on 17th december, opening day!!! I was determined not to get spoilers because this is important to me. These past few months I've been slowly evolving into a star wars junkie. This film does not disappoint me. I want to say I really like the episodes 1 2 and 3. I also enjoy episodes 4 5 and 6 but not as much. this doesn't mean this new film was more like eps 1 2 and 3, but I think it just has something for everyone. I thought there was a great potential for this film to be a let-down (especially after jj abrans star trek) but I have now decided to forgive abrams a…

Weeeeell I was just surfing the web as always and was curious on the status of the Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie and came upon with some cool and unexpected news so I decided to open a new thread to discuss this movie since as you guys know I'm a fan of spidey and will jump at the chance to discuss anything related to him so here it goes: Things known about this sequel: -All previous actors from the first movie will return to reprise their roles minus the guys who play the Lizard and Captain Stacy. -Peter Parker will find new clues about his past so it looks like they have not dropped the parents side story yet. -Harry Osborn will be featured in this movie…

This is a revival of Yuki's "What do you eat?" thread, and is for food discussion. Likes/dislikes, what we ate today, things we want to try, stuff like that. For me, so far today, I had a chicken salad and french fries, and that's basically it. I do also have to admit an addiction to French and Italian bread. So, post away and don't make each other too hungry, or un-hungry, whatever the case may be

Just currious. Anyone here taking any form of martial arts? If so what kind and what rank? Ive got about five years of martial arts expirience in various styles and i was looking to see if anyone else had any and wanted to discuss some things. Also, if youve never done any but have comments id appriciate that too. Basically anything general on martial arts. Weapons styles work too, even if youve never had professional training in them. I have Bo staff and Japanese sword training, and im taking Sai and Nunchaku training now.

Ok in a surprising move the title of the sequel to Ridley Scott's Prometheus will be called Alien: Paradise Lost. While not much is known about the plot yet this simple change does raise a few question. And how will this effect Neill Blomkamp’s Alien movie?

Review So I went to see Man of Steel last night, and found it enjoyable. For those looking for something emotional, take in the beginning of the movie as much as you possibly can, because after Kal El comes to Earth, the emotional tone is pretty flat. My tears welled up in the beginning, but nothing other than an interest in the events after that. The beginning was kind of like Abrahms first Star trek in its emotional. For those that hat shaky cam, get used to it in this movie, unless it was something wrong with our theaters projector. The entire film seemed to be shot with an over the shoulder cam, which means the match mover guys in the vfx department must have…
