Guyver

I have always wondered this. What exactly is the function of the organic portion of the Guyver armor? The purple tentacle things that ensnare Sho for example. Is it like a second layer of hyper dense alien muscle? How durable is it? Is that the stuff that gives the Guyver it's lifting and punching strength? Also, on the front cover of one of the manga volumes were Sho is tearing a portion of the armor away from his face is that even plausible to do? I mean could Sho really remove a certain piece of the Guyver armor if he really wanted to? These are things that have bugged me for years. There are a number of cool ones, but here's one that actually made me raise an eye brow and laugh. The entire Chronos organization being... oh my. Even Tetsuro? Anybody remember that Guyver Out of Control Artbook I got off of Ebay? This one? I finally got fed up with not being able to find a decent sized scanner, and used my digital camera to at last share the thing. Eventually I'll probably just run it to a copy shop and have them scan it properly. You will note some issues because of the flash, and the fact I don't want to flatten the book down too much. As well, you will also notice the blue pattern of my quilt around a lot of the pages. It was easiest to take the pictures with me standing over my bed. I put it in a .zip file for ease of collecting. I'd like to ask a couple of questions to get theories on them. There was some discussion in another topic about the aliens from Aliens and their acidic blood vs Guyvers, and I've always wondered that since in the Twilight Saga that vampire venom is supposed to be pretty acidic, what effect could it have on a Guyver or a zoanoid? I know that if intro'd into a zoanoid, it'd probably kill them. In Twilight, vampires and vampire hybrids have the ability to produce this venom. Lets face it. Tetsuro could have easily become the Guyver at the beginning of the manga, or the 2005 anime rather than Sho. They were both handling the unit and when they were fighting over it, Tetsuro threw it into Sho's arms as it activated. My question in this topic is. Would things have turned out better or worse had Tetsuro become a Guyver ? Tetsuro is a really smart and motivated character. I believe both Tetsuro and Sho are equally strong in their own way. Who is your favorite Guyver? I honestly have always liked Sho and Agito. I didn't care for the rest of the others because Guyver 0 was primitive and went nuts with the Guyver. Guyver 2 was just a bastard in general. and Guyver 2F....well, I'm not entirely sure what to think of her. She's cool I guess. But she's not on my favorites list. She still has to prove herself!

This would be an interesting fight to see. Anyone think Iron Man has what it takes to stand up to Sho's Guyver? I mean, Iron Man has been up against impossible odds before. Or....maybe all Sho has to do is activate the Gigantic Exceed and Tony would be beaten? Somehow I don't think it would be that easy for either of them. Thoughts?

How do you guys think a Guyver would fare in the vacuum of space? Is a Guyver able to produce it's own oxygen? Do you think a Guyver could adapt to a dead planet like mars?

Does Sho's body grow when he exceeds or only the gigantic's body? I've heard about all the complications between volume and surface area which limits human body growth. If Sho's body had grown that large, it should be difficult even to stand. Then again the Gigantic should have no problem supporting his weight either.

Not a Gigantic Guyver and certainly not a guyver xd. i am talking about a simple guyver. Can a simple guyver beat a zoalord or archanfel or someone like apollon? and if not, then what is the use of such weak form of guyver. Why not just launch into gigantic straight away. Doesn't the unit itself know that its base form is too weak.

I'd like to see an at-a-glance guide to how big all our favourite Takaya creatures and warsuits are. Something like the below image. Anyone already made something like that?

I've had one of those rare cases of "MUST HAVE THIS". Yesterday I saw the above LaserDisc no less on saie in Yahoo Japan. So what does a rational person think? Ummm Laserdisc, why on Earth would I want this? What does a crazy Guyver fan think? Umm does my 46inch TV have room on the stand below it..... wait what am I thinking, the Bluray can move the hell out of the way for it! So yup, I've gone and spent about 100 euro just buying a the ancient OVA on a format that is efectively dead. I'm now looking on ebay at Laserdisc players that will play ones from Japan? Am I happy? Hell yes!

There has being no new Guyver chapters this month. But the reason for it is of cocern. Takaya is on sick leave at the moment and as such the Guyver is on hold (this would explain why there hasn't being any chapters in the last few months) To Takaya I hope along with those at WG.com that he gets well soon and is able to continue on with his excelent story

I was watching Guyver Out of Control and I noticed how boxy the guyver looked, whats up with that? He looks like the Certex armor from GWOTG. But I gotta admit I liked the Chronos jumpsuits better in Out of Control blue and red it's got a patriotic kind of theme, still would of been better if it were red and white then I could show these americans my true colors as the Canadian I really am. Edit- Just as I was submitting this post I got an idea what if the Chronos jumpsuits where red with white and had a white maple leaf right in the middle for yah know branch purpouses. I could totally see that.
