Guyver

Hey everyone! Got a question for the Advocacy. Does anyone know anything about the artist Lucithea? They have a Deviantart page with a good amount of Guyver art. I really enjoy their work, and would like to know more about them.

volume 30 tankoubon has been finished. I've spent a good few hours sending them out to everyone I could identify as having bought this volume. If I missed you, please let me know. Original translations provided by Durendal, Myself and I think Amika may have done some. Translation revisions and quality control done by myself and Aether. Typesetting performed by Lost Unit after BBude made a valiant effort but had to pass the baton due to work.

well, it came time to replace the sleeves i have my comic books in since i took delivery of some new mylar sleeves. and for a long time been thinking about making a display/frame to show off these guyver comics on a wall or shelf somewhere. everyone knows these tanks are pretty thick and the norm i've found has been to make or buy a clear perspex case. which i probably would of done if ikea didn't open a store in my state just a couple of years ago and found these picture frames that they sell. just measure and cut out the diplay border to fit. add and cut some closed cell foam which is moisture resistant for surround and rear support. and thats it! hang on a wall or …

I been currese about this for some time, how big an impact has Guvyer had (I'm willing to be more than it ever gets credit for) and how many parodies, ripoffs, homages of inspired bys are their out their. Even odd things that could just be coincidence. Guyver itself was inspired by a lot of things such as Super Sentai, Alien (it even beat the Alien franchise to the punch on ancient aliens) and other manga like Baoh and possibly to some degree Devilman (the two series have a lot in common). So off the top of my head...... Well there's the "how did DC not get sued" rip off Zuggernaut! Zetman Possibly Genocyber and Cthulhu Tech …

I've just heard that Guyver is in another Language already! I was talking to a freind of mine today, and it hit me, 'how does he already know about guyver?' Well, apparently it's been on tv already back in Malaysia where he comes from. He then kinda preceded to tell me all about Malaysian dub quality... all anime done in Malay is acted out by four people: -a young man -a ditzy girl -a little kid -and an older gentlmen These four people play every charactor in every series in the county (and we thought we had it bad). He also points out that, well, they don't always act. And if you're worrying about the translation, don't. The translators don't even need to know…

Good just got this volume hope you like this little heavy but excellent quality hope you like parte 1 tomo 28 parte 2 tomo 28

In the spirit of nerdish out, I thought you guys would dig seeing some earlier cover appearances by our favorite hero. Check it...

The possibility that we already have a source art for the cover somewhere in published chapters is very high, so I made a poll. I think there will be Agito's XD on the cover. Also, who will be on the colour page and in datafiles? I think we will have JabiroLuggnagg and one or two of the new zoanoids in the datafiles and I fear that there will be Luggnagg's base on the colour page.

Fabio has provided me with an English translation of the first chapter of book 9. What I want to know is do you people want the trtanslation now, or would you prefer to wait until the whole book is ready?

I don't know if anyone here has the know-how to make an educated guess but reguardless I wanna pick your collective brains over this.

Planet X Cinema in San Antonio, TX is screening the first Guyver movie on the 22nd of February. Not the kind of news we are hoping for, but who knows, maybe this will spawn more Guyver fans. You can find further information here: https://www.sacurrent.com/ArtSlut/archives/2019/02/06/planet-x-cinema-strikes-again-with-free-screening-of-body-horror-comedy-the-guyver Plus it's free!

There are a number of cool ones, but here's one that actually made me raise an eye brow and laugh. The entire Chronos organization being... oh my. Even Tetsuro? "Bio Booster Armor Guyver has it's fair share of moments. TetsurÅ Segawa has subtle hints of being possibly gay towards his Bromance, Sho Fukamachi. His sister Mitzuki has taken various opportunities to paint them in such light when catching them in moments odd moments such as holding hands with Sho when the two were reaffirming their resolve and friendship. To top it off, he is never seen hitting on women, never flinching or startled when a naked Sho pops up unexpected. Such as when in the manga a Sho clone pops…

I'm wondering if Richard actually thought his plan through to kill off over the other 12 zoalords. I mean, why did he believe Archenphel was just a regular run of the mill zoalord. Didn't anyone, like Barcas fill him in on how powerful Archenphel was? I just can't believe he just didn't hand the Guyver Remover over to Barcas and stand down for a little while and wait. He could have had a prototype Guyver Unit made like Guyver 2F. It would have been a lot easier to do. But instead, he gets pissed off at Archenphel for cornering him. He feels intimidated by his power. But yet he doesn't stand down and hand over the guyver remover. So instead, he zoaforms and takes off and …

Let's try to keep this board alive while we impatiently wait for a new chapter! We've previously discussed film and anime ideas for Guyver COUNTLESS times, but I don't think we've ever had a thread on a live action TV series (correct me if I'm wrong). With Netflix being super popular at the moment, how would you do a live action Guyver series? Would you change the design of the armour? Would you change the story or follow the manga? Which actors would you like to see play who? Personally, I'd like something similar to Netflix's Daredevil series. Dark and gritty. Show me what you've got!

Would you be interested in ordering previous volumes of the Guyver manga from Guyver Advocacy?

So back in September on the 28th they had a Guyver #30 book singing. Here is a link to a blog with some pictures of the event. I should have a copy coming my way soon and will take more pictures. Thanks matsudo http://hobbylog.livedoor.biz/archives/1777611.html

So. I've noticed....There was a nude scene of Mizuki sitting up after having had slept with Sho in the manga. I was wondering if this has in any way sexualized her character? For me, it has changed how I look at Mizuki's character. Although its quite common for comic book characters that are in love to have moments like that. It gave me the idea that she was one of those hero groupie types like Mary Jane and Peter Parker as far as fan's will look at these things. Where Spider- Man goes out and fights crime, comes home and screws his gf/ wife. It kind of gave me that idea in Guyver how Mizuki seems to portray that as the Japanese version of Mary Jane. Sho kil…

How do you guys think a Guyver would fare in the vacuum of space? Is a Guyver able to produce it's own oxygen? Do you think a Guyver could adapt to a dead planet like mars?

I have the japanese manga of the guyver books 8-19 and it looks like Agito is getting more and more volatile. He has always had his own agenda but it looks like he may be in over his head. I mean facing off against 3 zoalords?! I am beginning to wonder if he will even survive the whole guyver saga that we have come to love. I mean Sho has died how many times, 3? If anyone can feel me in on any plot elemants I would appreciate it. Sorry if this topic has been brung up before or if I posted it in the wrong discussion.

#7 (volume 2) - VIZ - Terrifying - Chuang Yi - the other sho, the menace of bio-boosted clone - Advocacy - n/a really, i honestly cannot even remember this! was it even in the 2005 tv series? Sho's chopped off arm comes alive! This chapter has some good humour in it at the beginning, which is a good change of pace. its particularly funny when the cloned sho freaks tetsuro out because hes naked in the 'archive' / library. i'm more impressed by Viz again , as the sentiment of Sho realising he can not get away from the bio booster armour comes across. i liked this because despite the undeniable coolness of the Guyver unit and all the good he can do with it and t…

Greetings my fellow Guyver Advocates! I have been recently going through the scanlated volumes of the manga and found something of particular interest that I would like to discuss. When the creators left Earth they mentioned something about a federation. The way they mentioned this federation it is like it is a higher power to them and that they have to follow it's orders down to the letter. It seemed like it is the federation that gave the kill order of the earth experiment and for the creators to split. This is all just mere speculation, but if there is a higher power to the creators this could spell even more trouble for Show and his crew. A kind of danger that I thin…

I must admit, I think it's almost guaranteed that Aptom will meet his maker before the The Guyver's denouement. Probably sacrificing his life for Sho. What about Agito? Do you think he'll survive to the end?

this is something I've thought for a long time, and if the mangaka had given the role of Aptom to clone sho? as it had developed the story believe more organic? more forced,?
