So in the two live action films, it's shown that the Guyver armor is stored in the body. You see the tendrils come through the receivers on Sean's neck several times. I've always noticed this, but wondered why. Does anyone know, or at least suspect why? Was it simply an artistic liberty, or perhaps done for budgetary reasons? Since I'm sure trying the flashy transformation sequence from the anime would be too costly.

Hi All, As going to Japan takes a bit of planning putting this out there that I'll be going to Japan's Wonder Fest in 2026. As Wonder Fest is an event like no other and tends to have extremely rare kits from Guyver and other Animes I love (Macross!!), and other important stuff to fans tends to happen there if any like minded people want to go and have a meet up you're more than welcome. The event is usually mid Feb and in Chiba City https://en.japantravel.com/places/chiba/makuhari-messe/45 Dates etc still to be confirmed.

The Guyver parts do look neat, as they are robotic in nature, not just straight design copied over... But about 80% if the figure is just their standard "Gale Hound" base figure (Head, chest and parts to add arm blades). It's a pretty lazy collaberation... One I probably won't be taking part in. It's more like a "character" in the Titanomakia universe of story are fans of Guyver and customized their suits that way.

Finally in my possession! There are already a number of small things I dislike about it... Minor things that you'd think on such an expensive figure would be dealt with... Things I could forgive on a $300 figure of this size. Frankly, I don't think it was ever going to be "worth" the price they charged. Though it didn't have a specific limited number like the Prime 1 statues... This is still very limited. So I guess it's still nice to say I have one at the lowest price it ever will be. Though, to be fair, it was at least cheaper than what I paid for my BFC Max Imakarum... So I guess perspective is one thing...

Hi folks, does anyone have scans of (or can scan) "Around the Guyver World", the lore and comics featured in the manuals of the original Bio Fighter Collection vinyl kits? They're the last major bit of Guyver media with important lore that I've never fully seen online. I've found a handful of scans on MyFigureCollection, and two of the manuals scanned on an old Japanese website, but we're missing a lot. Major segments include "Chronos Report with Masaki Murakami" (of which excerpts from 5 articles have been translated and included in the Master Files) which features major background lore and events for Chronos as well as Murakami himself, and "新・戦え! ガイバー野郎", a silly …

I'm re-reading the manga after more than a decade and have a few questions that I'm curious if people have any answers/theories for as I'm not sure the manga has any answers. I'm only up to chapter 140 or so (Agito is setting fire to Waferdanos and Sho just learned how to save Aptom from Cabraal's control. Where did the Zoa-crystals come from? In Chapter 80, Balcus says the crystals were by "cleaving and cultivating one of Archanfel's Zoa-crystals" into the 11. I didn't think (but didn't really give an in-depth look) that Archanfel's battle form was any different in the flashback with the creators than it did in present day (as in, he didn't seem to have additional c…

An interview was posted with Yoshiki Takaya, Max Watanabe and Yoshihito Kobayashi about the upcoming (very expensive) 1/6th scale Guyver 1 figure. https://animageplus.jp/articles/detail/54325/1/1/1 Nothing is said about the manga sadly. During the interview, even Takaya thinks it might be a bit too expensive... But the idea that Max Watanabe wants to make figures from Dark Hero of the Guyver and Guyver Zoanoid? That is a pretty neat!

Happy X-Day everyone! It is the anniversary of the day our great and beloved Leaders of Cronos brought down the corrupt World of the past, and shone their light upon us to show us the way! Truly, we have never been so blessed to have such Divine beings watch over and protect us from ourselves! Let's give praise to our glorious Leaders, who rid the world of Hunger, War and the differences in society that kept us from coming together, and finally show that we are of one people! - This statement is approved by the Cronos Corpo…

"None of you are on your knees. It's a smart move to bow before a deity." "You're not a god." "To be a god, you just have to make people believe you are." "No one believes in you." - Savitar, Barry Allen, and Iris West, The Flash - "Present Day" Well, time to revitalize one of my favorite discussions regarding the Guyver-verse... As I've discussed in past threads, I have had major doubts regarding Archanfel's alleged godhood. Yes, he is phenomenally powerful and has demonstrated as such on numerous occassions, but whether he is a deity can be...debated. In the past I have often drawn up lists on who, across the omniverse, could bring him down. So...I'm go…

Not quite what I was expecting "In the thrilling conclusion of the Guyver manga, it is revealed that Apollon, the enigmatic antagonist, is none other than Sho Fukamachi's long-lost twin brother, separated at birth due to a complex experiment gone awry. The brothers' destinies intertwine as they confront the truth behind their origins and the origin of the Guyver technology. United by their shared bloodline, Sho and Apollon work together to uncover the dark secrets of Chronos and its insidious plans. Along the way, they forge a powerful bond as siblings, learning to harness the full potential of the Guyver suits. The final battle sees them facing off against a co…

In my opinion I feel like it's not a bad story and setting. Young boy obtains great powers, gets thrown into a terrifying world of monsters and evil rulers, etc. It's not a deep thought, provoking story that redefines anything, but it's sure as hell fun! Even the publisher of Dragon Ball stated that there is nothing special about the story. Just characters fighting and getting stronger. Was it the gore and violence? Plenty of successful anime and manga have gore.

I've checked around a bit, and I can't find any definitive frame from the manga that shows exactly what happened to guyver 2's medal after being ejected from the suit. A lot of the earlier manga pages were pretty loose with details on smaller things like that, but... ...the animations don't explicitly show what happens, either. I always assumed it was destroyed by Sho's mega smasher, but we know later on that the guyver control medals can survive a mega smasher easily(to the point where Sho is vaporized, but his control medal isn't even singed). So what happened to it? It should be mostly intact, somewhere. It feels like Chronos would have looked for it at the s…

Pre-order is up! https://www.goodsmileus.com/product/figma-guyver-1-ultimate-edition-10337 Just saw this image, and it seems to be legit. Guyver 1 is getting a what looks like, a completely new Figma release. Kind of makes sense when you compare the quality of the two Female Guyver 2's and Guyver 3... the original Guyver 1 Figma was pretty poor in comparison. The two big difference seems to be the megasmasher area of the chest and the head. No longer has the figma joint sticking out like a sore thumb, but the additional ab piece has been removed. The head proportions also seem to be improved. Much smaller eyes than the original figma. *EDIT* …

Once again Max Watanabe comes through and posted an image of himself and Yoshiki Takaya. Though Takaya looks very different compared to all his previous photos. Here is to hoping that his weight loss was on purpose and not because of something serious!

Hello y’all. Been a big fan of your scanlations, bern a fan from days long ago when by miraculous luck I found a site that gave detailed synopsis of everything cut off from me. First the anime ended. Then the series halted. The 05 reboot was meh and I was 2x past it with the scans you guys do by then. Its one of my childhood favorites next to Vampire Hunter D 85. I’m requesting volume 32 scans. I picked up the Japanese graphic novel in a shop in NY a few years ago but was too lazy to go through the effort of posting it. I’m ready now. A true fan since the vhs days with the US Rendition dub. Got all 3 of the last pre-Figma Max Factory Guyver 1-3 figures and an Aptom C…
