Devilman guyver hybrid imo would be sick, Guy (guy double target ova) looks like a flying Murakami style zoalord, any other crazy hybrid you can think of????? e.g. Dante guyver, larger more demonic looking and with a sword. An how bad ass would aptom be if he got hold of a unit???

Let's try to keep this board alive while we impatiently wait for a new chapter! We've previously discussed film and anime ideas for Guyver COUNTLESS times, but I don't think we've ever had a thread on a live action TV series (correct me if I'm wrong). With Netflix being super popular at the moment, how would you do a live action Guyver series? Would you change the design of the armour? Would you change the story or follow the manga? Which actors would you like to see play who? Personally, I'd like something similar to Netflix's Daredevil series. Dark and gritty. Show me what you've got!

Just wanted to examine Cabraal's power a bit, looking beyond his iconic Drsgon Lord form. if I had to pin down what types of Zoalord he is, I'd say he's a manipulater type, in the same vain as Barcus and Waferdanos. What I mean by this is that they specialise in the manipulation of others. Barcus is the most powerful telepath amoung them while Waferdanos's hair is simple a more refined and battle oriented version of the control he has over the forest he is part of. Does anyone feel like the Guyver is completely dead? No new manga chapters, 2 horribly made movies, and a 2005 anime adaptation that didn't even get to see a 2nd season. Alright so like the title says, how would this play out against each other? I never read the books so i'll rely heavily on those who had. Would a creature like IT stand a chance? Or would the guyvers host become dinner?

I think I have a theory on this and I think maybe seeing as he was the first zoalord....that being like a prototype to the creators. It could be that his zoacrystal can only give him so much power and it's possible that he's guzzling that power or his body is using too much of it causing him to pass out as a side effect from using vast amounts of power. For instance when he healed Murakami with all of his power from inside the ship (after Guyver 3 cracked Murakami's zoacrystal.) Alky passed out right after. Gary Dubin who was the voice actor for Guyver II, Zector, and Aptom in the OVA series passed away last year. He died on October 8th, 2016 from bone cancer. I hadn't heard anything about this until just recently. I'm shocked, and deeply saddened by this. May he rest in peace.

We've had three anime, two live-action movies, and several figurine lines but it amazes me that there's never been a Guyver-based video game. Not even so much as a Japan-exclusive mobile game. The Guyver franchise would lend itself perfectly to an action-adventure game. Fighting zoanoids and unlocking new powers (sonic emitters, the megasmasher, Gigantic etc.) How awesome would that be in the hands of the right dev?

Is cyanide poisoning capable of killing a zoalord? or are they immune to toxins? Like if you wanted to slip it in Dr.Barcas's food. Do you think it would kill him?

When the host of the guyver unit dies a sudden death in battle, the unit is lost. I think we're all agreed on this fact, judging by previous posts. But what if the host were to die of old age? I think we touched on disease in a previous post and that it's believed that it would heal/prevent illnesses. But every creature dies a natural death eventually. What are your thoughts on the matter?

Thought you guys would like this. My first exposure to the Guyver was through the first live action film, which I adored. When I came across this magazine called Wild Cartoon Kingdom in 1993, I immediately froze. There was a cartoon Guyver on the cover! Whaaat? Needless to say I was stunned to find out that the film was based on a Japanese comic book and already had its own cartoon which was being brought to America. What year is it in the Guyver manga? It started in the 80s, so it was the 80s in the manga, but...it's been 32 years now. Did the manga just retroactively update to modern times, or what? Is there anyway to tell?

Is there anywhere to view translations of the data files? I've been trying to find them but the old location is down. It'd be great if there was somewhere with all of them, just the Zoanoid/Zoalord/Guyver stats not the interviews and stuff, all. Additional question; does the new (relatively speaking) policy on translations extend to the data files and that's why they're so hard to find?
