You're a zoanoid working for Chronos. You've been tasked with assassinating Sho Fukamachi. How do you go about it?

Thought you guys would like this. My first exposure to the Guyver was through the first live action film, which I adored. When I came across this magazine called Wild Cartoon Kingdom in 1993, I immediately froze. There was a cartoon Guyver on the cover! Whaaat? Needless to say I was stunned to find out that the film was based on a Japanese comic book and already had its own cartoon which was being brought to America. It was also the first time I learned that there was going to be a sequel to the live action film, and I was ecstatic. Can't tell you how many times I read this article, and drooled over the pictures. My imagination ran wild. It would be a couple more years be…

Is cyanide poisoning capable of killing a zoalord? or are they immune to toxins? Like if you wanted to slip it in Dr.Barcas's food. Do you think it would kill him?

Let's try to keep this board alive while we impatiently wait for a new chapter! We've previously discussed film and anime ideas for Guyver COUNTLESS times, but I don't think we've ever had a thread on a live action TV series (correct me if I'm wrong). With Netflix being super popular at the moment, how would you do a live action Guyver series? Would you change the design of the armour? Would you change the story or follow the manga? Which actors would you like to see play who? Personally, I'd like something similar to Netflix's Daredevil series. Dark and gritty. Show me what you've got!

When the host of the guyver unit dies a sudden death in battle, the unit is lost. I think we're all agreed on this fact, judging by previous posts. But what if the host were to die of old age? I think we touched on disease in a previous post and that it's believed that it would heal/prevent illnesses. But every creature dies a natural death eventually. What are your thoughts on the matter?

Gary Dubin who was the voice actor for Guyver II, Zector, and Aptom in the OVA series passed away last year. He died on October 8th, 2016 from bone cancer. I hadn't heard anything about this until just recently. I'm shocked, and deeply saddened by this. May he rest in peace.

I was just wondering about the creator of Guyver other works. While Guyver has been his main on-going project for all these years, I sincerely doubt it's the only thing he's ever worked on.

Just wondering about this today. For example... Lets say we attached a guyver unit to a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Dinosaurs, from what we can work out, were likely creatures of limited intelligence which primarily functioned on pure instinct. Not much different then most birds, reptiles and crocodile of today. As a result the creatures use of the guyvers weapons would likely be used in a far more basic way then any human guyver would, most likely acting on instinct and in reaction to a current situation. Power wise what needs to be said, it's an apex predator the size of a building. It's power output, should the unit react as it dose with a human, would be st…

Ok so it's Sho vs 9 cyborgs from the 009 series. For Sho it's him with all his current skills Edit: on second though after seeing the groups upgraded powers again maybe at least gigantic should be allowed. So on to his oppoents. 001 - Ivan Whiskey Ivan's brain gives him several psychic powers, such as telepathy, telekinesis, and extra-sensory perception. These he can use to great extent, and they are powerful enough to withstand enemy fire and overcome a single foe. However, he sometimes falls asleep indefinitely at inopportune times, because his infant body can barely handle the strain of using his abilities afterward.Ivan's telekinetic po…

Alright so like the title says, how would this play out against each other? I never read the books so i'll rely heavily on those who had. Would a creature like IT stand a chance? Or would the guyvers host become dinner?

Just wanted to examine Cabraal's power a bit, looking beyond his iconic Drsgon Lord form. if I had to pin down what types of Zoalord he is, I'd say he's a manipulater type, in the same vain as Barcus and Waferdanos. What I mean by this is that they specialise in the manipulation of others. Barcus is the most powerful telepath amoung them while Waferdanos's hair is simple a more refined and battle oriented version of the control he has over the forest he is part of. Cabraal's power is something of a blend between his to peers yet had unique elements to. To cover the basics first, like all zoalords he has beyond human physical abilities even in human form, …

So I'm bored, and I like Doomsday, and Guyver. Both visually awesome characters with great physical powers. Now to make the fight interesting, I decided to keep the Gigantic and Exceed Guyver forms out of the battle. I'm interested in discussing if the Guyver can take Doomsday with the default settings of powers. So what do you think? Can the Guyver without his power ups take on the beast that killed Superman? I think this is a great battle. Doomsday on the surface would be like any other Zoanoid, or Hyper Zoanoid, but he's far more durable than any of of them. Back in 1992 during the Death of Superman comic, Doomsday tanke…

Are there any Shonen Ace Covers that feature the Guyver prominently? I know you Have Shonen Captain Covers, but I wish you guys had a decent scan of a Shonen Ace Cover With a Guyver (the franchise) on it... Maybe there was one in 2005 featuring the then new anime series. Maybe there was one with it's arrival. Who knows?

Hello all, I am a long time fan of this series since I was a child. I have recently created a petition that will (hopefully) show FUNimation, a group that worked on the 05-06 series, that us fans are interested in a conclusion to the series in the form of either a second season or even a movie to finish off the story. I invite all of you loyal fans of our bio-boosted heroes to help myself, and everyone else that loves this anime, the conclusion we deserve. Thank you so much for your signature in advance. The link is below: https://www.change.org/p/funimation-finish-the-guyver-anime/nftexp/ex48/control/844068269?recruiter=844068269&utm_source=share_petition&…

Just wondering what everyone thought on this. I grew up with the old one and loved it and i'm watching the new one new after forgetting about it. But rewatching it now i just feel like the old one was a lot better, it just seemed way darker and more violent. Even though the art is old i actually really like the old style.

While we patiently and/or impatiently wait for the next chapter of the manga to be released, why not do what the MCU fan-base is currently doing with the lead up to Infinity War and re-watch the 2005 TV series?! Basically, re-watch one episode every week, then discuss it on here. Talk about what you liked, what you didn't like etc. We've gotta keep this board active somehow! All 26 episodes, followed by the 12-part OVA, followed by both live action adaptions... Then hopefully we'll have a new chapter in 40 weeks Episode 1: "The Amazing Bioboosted Armor" Original Air Date: August 6, 2005 Synopsis: Two police officers encounter and are killed by a stra…

Recently I've been trying to get people who frequent Reddit into watching / reading Guyver and most have never heard of it. Now the 2005 series might have helped its popularity a little or the fact that there are still models and figures floating around, but it really hurts a manga's popularity when you can't find it on the shelf somewhere. Both Guyver and Berserk came out around the same time, and yet Berserk is actually still popular, dare I say mainstream. Every time you go to Barnes & Noble or any other bookstore, there it is on the shelf. Everybody I talk to knows what Berserk is, but nobody knows what Guyver is. So I'm thinking part of the problem with Guyv…

Since I was 10 years old, I've always loved Guyver and Aliens nearly equally. In fact one day I picked up a Star Wars magazine in the early 90s and in the back of it it had both Aliens models and Max Factory Guyver models on the same page, which I think proves that there are similarities and they have similar demographics. Several months ago I found a post on someone's blog about Guyver I versus The Predator, and it was a pretty cool fanfic to read. That's probably where I got the idea for this in the first place. After I'd already gotten my Guyver I figure and I decided I wasn't going to get any of the other BFC figures for a little while, I picked up a neca aliens figur…

Just something that came to mind while marathoning My Hero Academia: Since Zoacrystals store a Zoalord's power, can they store some of that power into other crystals like quartz? Like a back up battery so they don't drain their main crystal first and be left with a "oh crap" moment. I honestly don't know why this popped into my head while watching a super hero anime, but I'd figured it'd be worth asking the community and see if it's possible.
