Guyver

So I'm sure this is a match up no one has ever thought of. It randomly came to me last night, being a fan of both franchises. Gigantic Guyver Exceed vs A Reaper So now that the ridiculous bar has been set to 11. Let's talk?

I do apologise if this topic has been covered before. What first got you into the guyver? Why do you now love it enough to frequent this message board? For me it all started when i was twelve and my brother saw an advert in a magazine for a new video series called guyver. he bought the first ep and though it was ok. I watched it and thought "Not bad". Then episode 2 came out. For a 12 year old kid in 1992 there were a lot of good cartoons like he man, thundercats, etc. there were none where the opponent was the same as the hero yet more skilled. This just blew me away. The design alone of guyver 2 was awesome with the dysfunctional medal and the mental fighting skills…

Some of you may know me as my old (yet familiar to this one) handle, GuyverAlpha. Seeing as I couldnt remember my password, created this one. A lot has happened, old computer has been replaced with a new one, why I havnt been able to finish fixing volume 9 typesetting. So, if you and Yuki want me to, I can get back to work....let me know if you do, cause I still have the last chapter in Japanese HQ. Great to be back!

so after years of kind of wanting this i went and found one that was priced only twice as much as its worth rather than the one priced at the standard 3 times what its worth!! its great! the only thing is i feel lied to by the picture on the back as it is not articulated . if i had the money, time and could be bothered at the moment then i would love to cut one up and customise it over a 1/6 / 12'' articulated figure to make it moveable. but alas i cant see it ever happening!! heres a comparison shot of it next to a max factory BFC G1 next the 'special version ' vol.21 tankobon....

I Kill all the bad politicians, all the westboro baptist folks except the children, be hard on the corrupted bankers, and give free puppies to every good person, and such

So it seems, someone else has decided to start translating the Manga. And since the Advocacy volumes were available freely up to volume 30, that is where they have started. Only one chapter up so far, but it is a manga volume chapter, so is 36 pages. http://ciaranhillock.blogspot.co.uk/ Please note, that there is a jab towards the way the Advocacy handles the new translations (on both the blog and credits page), but really they do have a point (in regards to expanding the fan base), though the Advocacy is free to do things however they choose. I mention this as I want people to be CIVIL as possible discussion on the topic. Yes, it was a little childish to make note of i…

Hi mates!! Two years ago, "talking" with Aether about a few custom guyver figures i have in my collection, this post came out: i wonder what your process of making models is then?? i think you should make your own guyver model thread and let us know how you do it ...you could put your future guyver projects up aswell and update it to let us see how you are going?? Well, for a long time i had to stop my handcrafting passion, but i'm back and i'm working right now on a figure again, so i decided to share my work with you!! Stay tuned then!!!

I should never ever be left alone with Photoshop. Particularly when I have been trapped indoors & heavily medicated & missing sleep for over a week.

Just curious as to what everyone thinks is the extent of Apollon's power. Dealt with Caerleon with ease, is he now up there with Archanfel and the Gigantics or more so?

We still don't really know just how Zoanoids are named. Presumably the scientists decide on a name, either individually as a sort of recognition if they were mainly responsible for some new type, or as a committee; or maybe it's the Zoalords' privilege. Thing is, most names don't seem to make much sense. Even in Japanese. So... how would you name Zoanoid types if they had to have English, somewhat descriptive names - ie, supervillain names, kind of 90's style? Gregole – Ramhorn Vamore – Glare Ramotith – Feral Thancrus - Deathblade Derzerb - Ironclad Gaster - Blastwave Elegen - Conduit Zektoll - Hercules

Now we're all here because we love guyver units, but let us spare a thought for there formidable opponents, the zoanoids. As without them, life for a guyver would get pretty dull! One of my favourite Zoanoids (from a pure power point of view) is Zx-toll. If I had to become a zoanoid I would be him. However in terms of appearance and design I think Zerbubuse is very much underrated and looks far more menacing and powerful than he was given credit for in both the anime and manga! Oh well, he's one of my faves anyway! How about you guys?

Just wanted to know if there's a translation of his file? Of all the zoalords, I realised he's the one I know the least about.

An interview was posted with Yoshiki Takaya, Max Watanabe and Yoshihito Kobayashi about the upcoming (very expensive) 1/6th scale Guyver 1 figure. https://animageplus.jp/articles/detail/54325/1/1/1 Nothing is said about the manga sadly. During the interview, even Takaya thinks it might be a bit too expensive... But the idea that Max Watanabe wants to make figures from Dark Hero of the Guyver and Guyver Zoanoid? That is a pretty neat!

In the same way that we are party to a campaign to give money back to the creator of Guyver by buying the books, why don't we organise a movement to get Max Factory to release their Archanfel and Guyver Gigantic Exceed figures? http://guyver-world.ru/guyver-figures.html http://guyver-world.ru/guyver-figures-p2.html Our Bio Fighter Collection won't be complete until we own the most powerful characters in the series. And I'm asking you guys this because I don't know how to start such a movement. You guys know more than me.

i am looking for box covers of models and figures to put onto the wiki and for my own interest value. If you look on the guyver merchandise page. http://japan-legend.com/wiki/index.php?title=Guyver:_Merchandise You will see the box covers i have so far after looking for some time i cannot find a history of Elfin model kits so i am unsure what ones are missing if anyone has any of these kits can they help me out. 1/12 ELF056 Guyver 2 1/12 ELF057 Guyver #3 B10 Fighter 1/12 ELF059 Guyver Aptom 5 B10 Fighter 1/12 ELF090 Guyver 0 type Standing 1/12 ELF208 Enzyme II 1/12 ELF209 Thancrus 1/12 ELF167 Gigantic Guyvers Adversary 1/12 ELF212 Aptom II 1/12 ELF21…

Although Archanfel's plan to take 12 zoalords and an army of zoanoids into deep space, via the ark, seems to be falling apart, what do you think would happen if he was successful in finding the advents? My thoughts are that they would obviously be attacked, what chance would Archanfel and the ark have against them?

So begins yet another of my threads of a Marvel/Chronos conflict... Now, in past topics, I've talked about which characters could take on Archanfel in a one-on-one fight, and how X-Day would've unfolded in the Marvel Universe. This time around, I've been thinking...how could some of Marvel's street level heroes take on Chronos? And I don't mean necessarily taking on zoanoids, but the organizational makeup of the Chronos institution itself. I'm talking about characters like Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, the Punisher, Cloak & Dagger...characters who had their own first hand experiences dealing with individuals and groups that conventional law enforcerment cannot …

Are there any official coloured images of Caerleon or Shin? This probably doesn't need it's own thread but I really want to know what they look like, specifically Caerleon (favorite Zoalord, shame he and his awesome power get buried in 5 seconds to show off how dangerous Apollon is).

I've wanted to ask The Advocacy this for a while. If you merged with a Guyver unit what would you shout to summon the unit from the boost dimension?

When fighting Archanfel, Guyot creates a "seven thousand exaton" synthetic black hole. An exaton is a thousand million million tons. Now, I've not studied maths or units since high school, so take all this with a pinch of salt… The Earth's mass is about six thousand million million million tons. This rates his black hole at a bit more than a thousandth of an Earth mass. To convert energy into seven thousand exatons with perfect efficiency, Guyot would have to wield six hundred and thirty million million million million million million Joules. How much is this? Well, the most powerful weapon ever manufactured was the RDS-220 'Tsar Bomb' detonated by the S…

#3 - VIZ - Risky! - Chuang Yi - inspector riskers challenge - Advocacy - Challenge of the inspector in this chapter Risker goes to challenge Guyver 1 and of course ends up as guyver goop being eaten by the boost organism. An anomaly i spotted in chapter 3 is that the panels where Risker explains about the unit G is different in the Viz version. in fact the whole of the chapter in the Viz version seems to be the original and Takaya obviously redesigned Guyver 2's design and redrew the entire chapter for the tankobon.... we see sho strike the metal and G2's reaction, but in the tankobon version we dont... also i noticed all 3 versions are different in the e…

While I was looking at his armor again the chest piece and helmet look like a relic ship flying downward. And the black orbs also remind me of Uranus’s eye and the other ones. The wait for answers is killing me lol. Too many theories like what if Apollyon is Uranus coming back to finish the job and maybe he has a soft spot for alk. Highly unlikely, but it is fun to think of all the potential options for who Apollyon is.

I was looking at he two versions and it looks like the pink version has a damaged control medal. It could be just the moulds or the picture may look that way.

Just wondering about this today. For example... Lets say we attached a guyver unit to a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Dinosaurs, from what we can work out, were likely creatures of limited intelligence which primarily functioned on pure instinct. Not much different then most birds, reptiles and crocodile of today. As a result the creatures use of the guyvers weapons would likely be used in a far more basic way then any human guyver would, most likely acting on instinct and in reaction to a current situation. Power wise what needs to be said, it's an apex predator the size of a building. It's power output, should the unit react as it dose with a human, would be st…

What ever happened to Warrior Guyver and Bio-Weapons? I loved those sites before I came to the Advocacy!
