Sully Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 I've worked in IT support for years. Some members of the website might find what I'm about to say offensive in some ways but it's the truth. Those here that are efectively IT support for their grandparents would also know this... Old people are set in their ways and don't want to know modern tech any better than what they are forced to by the world around them. My mum for example knows enough to email and dislikes Facebook but can just about use it and as for the other versions of online media do not even go there.... I've had to remove Snapchat from her phone as it caused her more stress than was useful and remind family members "Facebook her or email her, she gets that, don't use other shite!". Takaya isn't a young man any more, the likely hood of that man wanting to join the digital age in a way we'd be happy is unlikely. What he does need is that any aritist that does eventually assists him is of this modren age so we ger to hear more of what is happening and things like the last hiatus are explained. As a Guyver fan though I'm used to waiting... it was 10 or 15 odd years before I could properly read after book 7 from the point where I started collecting Guyver stuff and had watched the 12 part Anime. Zero, that's what. In Takaya-sans defense I just want to say it don't think it's fair to compare Guyver to Kinnikuman. First of all Yudetamago are a duo, and whilst they may all be the same age, having 2 of you working on a project must help dramatically not just in terms of workload, but also with inspiration and enthusiasm. Secondly, the attention to detail in Yudetamago's work is no where near the calibur of Guyver. I mean every panel of the guyver manga is just brimming with detail and I'd even go as far as to say that Guyver isn't even a Shonen manga anymore, but more of a Seinen. If I were to compare Takaya's work to any other mangaka i'd likely say Miura, Inoue or even Hagiwara, all 3 of which have had their fair share of hiatus's (some even worse than Takaya............ *cough* Hagiwara*cough*) Quote

TricoBren Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 I reckon there will be a 10 page chapter coming in March. (You heard it here first! Haha) 2 Quote

*ScottmanXIII Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 I often wonder if Takaya has a plan for the story or if he just makes it up as he goes along. I'm ready for it to end now. .....After a wrap up of course & a mega happy ending Quote

I'm ready for it to end now. .....After a wrap up of course & a mega happy ending A lot of people forget that the Draglord's silhouette appears in volume 9 during X-Day despite not appearing fully until volume 24 - that means he had planned Kahn's transformation over 10 years before he revealed it! It certainly seems like he plans some things meticulously, though certain others may be a little improvised - I reckon the briefness of the most recent Zoalord fights were last-ish minute decisions. But I imagine (or just hope?!) whatever he has in store for Galenos will have been decades in the making, as that's a character he has not even shown in years. Quote
hackerdiety03 Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 Is guyver the only manga that he was been working on for decades? Is he involved with any other manga or anime series right now? Quote
Gazham Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 I believe he has at least one other pen name which he used to write under(perhaps he has more). I'm not sure about what else he's working on at the moment, I think it's a mystery to fans all around the globe! Quote
Sully Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 No news yet, but it's around this time of the month we know if we're about to get a chapter or not. Quote

This manga is drawn by the artist ワタリユウ (watari U) and I don't actually know what Yoshiki is doing for this manga, apart of that he is the creator of the original Zeorymer manga. Maybe he is writing the script or something? His pen name for this manga is his old pen name ちみもりを (Chimi Morio). Quote
Sully Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 The online Cover of Shonen Ace is still showing last months edition. I think the new release is on the 26th so we might find out then if we're getting anything. Quote

I saw saw a few scans of a fan created story somewhere on here, does anyone know if there was any continuation on that? I assume there's no tankobon this year? It's usually released around February time right? Quote

No, I can say for certainty that volume 33 will not be released this year... Unless we start getting new chapters, and the page counts are closer to 16-20+ rather than the 9-12 we were getting ( ie the first 2 chapters after book 32 were 9 and 12 pages). Even if he kept to the low page count, we'd probably have gotten a full volume this year... but we have not have any new chapters since APRIL 2016. Quote
Gazham Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 My guess is no new chapters until April. A full years break seems like the logical thing to do. We can only wait and see if guesa Quote
Sully Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) https://web-ace.jp/shonenace/ The Latest Magazine is out, but not a clue yet if it contains Guyver. I tried to buy Shonen Ace and setup a subscription on the Kindle but Ireland (and the US) is blocked from buying it that way Edited January 26, 2017 by Sully Quote
Gazham Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) We can only hope! On a light note, Google translate translates the text on the page as 'genital armor guyver' Is there anyway for us to buy it as an e-magazine? I wouldn't mind buying it everybody month if it's a reasonable price just to find out! Edited January 26, 2017 by Gazham Quote
Sully Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 It's only 4.5 euro a month, was going to do the same but Kendle doesn't allow it. http://tieba.baidu.com/f?kw=强殖装甲&ie=utf-8 This guy / gal in China is wondering the same thing we are: Warning to those using Baidu sometimes non work safe Guyver stuff goes up there (or non Guyver) so be careful what you click.....
