let's figure out how things work. whether we're coming up with theories for how our favourite characters do what they do, or talking about real life science and belief systems, we can talk in here.

I've debated this with People in hte past so I decided to lay this horse to rest. ok zeo made a rather wild claim in hte recent debate so I wanted to test his theory. I quote zeo as actually I find this manner here kinda insulting considering my results. I'm not judging. just the debate which we always disagree on. it's not a personal jab. now the part i find insulting is the phrase "it really is a simple matter"... because dude. this is not simple as you so readily demonstrated by sizing that meteor up as 1,800 km (thereabouts) here is a reconstruction demonstrating these sizes as you typed in your diagram. now this is a side elevation, but even looking…

Raymond Kurzwell is a futurist. He basically speaks of an insanely cool theory called the singularity where science and techology (largely assisted by as yet unmade super computers) are so fast at developing new techonologies that it is practically instantaneous. No deleopment time just a few seconds for your personal nano fabricator to make this new thing for you and the rest of the world. The guy believes by 2020 computers will be as smart as a human and by 2045 computers will be a billion times more intelligent than every human on earth combined. It is around 2045 we reach the singularity. And for anyone who thinks 'maybe'. This guy accurately predicted the fall of …

Is taking a life ever justified? If so, where is the line? In my opinion.....I think if you're defending yourself than that is acceptable. But I think if you're just killing for sick pleasure, money, tying loose ends or revenge / closure than I'd have to say no.

Lets discuss about fear of technology... I think Technophobia is a normal reaction especially when you find that your future job is about to be replaced by a tin man or something. It may also remind us not to make machines so smart.

just a thought really about how a merged or combined technology of the radium and creator tekkaman and Guyver on a human. as from what i understand a person in a tekkapod undergoes a transformation that brings them to a near perfect form making them stronger than a normal human while not transformed. while when a Guyver makes the changes when they transform, then the armour for the tekkaman is longer to repair and a fewer weapons than a Guyver which isn't as tough but can regenerate faster than the tekka-armour then the weapons ar more and as powerful. so what would the combined be like, more powerful mega-smashers as they are combined with the main weapons of the tekka…

We talk about teleportation of the Zoalords in another thread. Those who clearly can are : - Alkamphel - Cabral Khan - Yentsui - The Black Knight Those who seems to be unable to : - Shin (flyed to help Purgstall) - Purgstall (flyed to meet the Gigantic) - Balcus (escaped the arizona base thanks to yentsui) - Guyot (escaped from Alkanphel, simply running) Not sure : All the others... BUT How did all the zoalords appear at the top of Relic Point in book 08 ??? They appear in a big thunderbolt, just like they came for the sky... Do they used an unknown power of Purgstall ?? I don't think that Alkanphel made them appear here. He was fighting Guyot. Any ide…

Les Baugh lost his arms as a teenager. Engineers at Johns Hopkins are trying to give them back, but better. Mr. Baugh is testing a robotic prosthetic that he can control with his thoughts. I thought this was really amazing. Technology has really come far. Thoughts?

Ok this is not a joke, its about as far from a joke as we're ever likely to get. This topic is about some pretty dark and grim subject matter, so read at your own discussion. Humans do some pretty messed up stuff, but sometimes we really out do ourselves. This is one of those times, this is the story of Mary. As most of you may know, the life of circus animels is very, very cruel. They spend long periods of time held in confined spaces or chained up with little to no stimuli, little real healthcare (or even just care for that matter) and are regularly abused. They are also tortured into behaving in unnatural ways for the amusement of crowed, sometimes rig…

I was reading on M-theory a while back, and how some versions of it suggest how we might survive the death of our universe. How not only we might escape into an alternate dimension, but how we might possibly create a new universe with just and ounce of energy (all the positive and negative energy almost cancel out, leaving just an ounce worth). That's very interesting when I started reading the bible again last year, when some of these crazy theories start stirring some things that most would say come from science fiction. Things like this: If this universe were created, and -this- planet were added in later through a dimensional gate way... if it's core were a di…

philosophically, you most certainly can argue with that. the uranus did shape and guide the development of life on earth. but to what degree? some aspects of humanity are certainly meeting the requirements of the creators goals, but there are many facets to the nature of humanity. not all of them are completely about what the creators wanted. for a race of beings that were supposed to be weapons, humans are surely capable of an awful lot of compassion. also, consider that guyver is meant to express the traits of the host and expand them. what happens with a human host? the host is freed from the control of the creators. is this a hint towards humans true purp…

All this talk about God and Religion in my other thread reminded me of the time I was having a discussion with a colleague at my previous place of employment. The guy was great; he was great to talk to, very experienced about the world and had a military background. He was great company and I loved talking to him about anything philosophical and learned a lot from him. I can't remember what made us get onto the topic; he was born and raised Catholic but renounced his faith and became an Atheist through his personal experience. I asked him that fair enough, he doesn't believe in God, but what was his opinion on the Soul since both are pretty much hand in hand. He said tha…

This is something that has interest me a lot for a while since the day I was told of these 2 theories for those who don't know the Uncanny Valley is an Hypothesis used in robotics and 3d animation where human replicas look and act almost human but not perfectly usually creating a sense of revultion, there are 2 ends of that valley one where the replicas are stylized replicas and in the other end is where we have yet to achive is totale realisim where you can't tell the difference if it is real or not. Then there is the singularity which is a bit hard for me to explain but from what I uderstand is a theory of the point where artificial intelligence can reach beyond human…

Ok, it seems this is a subject not talked about much but is very noticable in the Guyver universe. What are some theories about female optimization when a woman wants to become a zoanoid or a zoalord? One topic that is of current interest is pregnancy and optimization. If a woman gets optimized, then would she loose the ability to reproduce and in turn just become a type of lost number? Or, would there be any special precautionary measures taken during processing to make sure that this doesn't happen? Everyones thoughts?

Now we've all seen the data of the Gigantic Exceed says its the form of the true power, but... ...I believe it's not just limited to the Giant. Remember, Caerleon is believed to refer to Archanfel when he says there was one who could use powers of the other zoalords. Now if the Gigantic armor was designed to defeat Archanfel, and Sho was linked to all that data(probably Archanfel's data as well) in the advent ship, the armor couldn't be limited to a giant mode. I believe if Sho fought other zoalords in Exceed mode, the armor would adapt to their abilities. Example: If Sho fought Li Yentsui, Sho should be able to see his portals and possibly maybe able to create to hi…

I've recently spent some time up in Northern California, which has seemingly become a refuge for ex-hippies and a sanctuary for students who didn't take their lives seriously, usually a victim of one too many doses of LSD. I spent several hours amongst them, in their smoking circles in the grass meadows surrounded with rich red woods, just west of the UC Santa Cruz campus. Most of the things they talked about were meaningless, reminents of false revelations from their last acid trip. What stuck with me the most was this illusion they had that everything could be solved with love. Now don't get me wrong, i'm not so pessimistic to think that love is pointless or unreal. It …

I doubt the Guyver manga will go on for us to see children of 1st Generation Zoanoids(people who went through optimization), but I wonder what would happen. Would a kid of a Vamore and Razell transform into a Razell with Vamore's bio-lasers, or would he/she have to be optimized to achieve a zoaform? I wonder....

This may be a stupid topic, but it goes along with a fan fic that I've been working on that barrows from the world of the Twilight Saga and the universe of Bio-Booster Armor Guyver, and is meant to be a tribute to both of those works. One of the things that I've been wondering about is how Guyver creatures would stand up to Twilight creatures--vampires, shape-shifting wolves and vampire hybrids namely. For those of you who are out of the loop with the Twilight Saga, Twilight vampires don't have the traditional vampire weaknesses--no stake though the heart, now dying in sunlight, no dying in Holy Water, none of the stuff that James Rolfe describes in one of the AV…
