Hi everyone, I was talking about this topic in my audio blog in which I still haven't found the right words to describe this. Okay, as a movie buff and a story buff since since I began to know how to write stories, I began to notice the difference between the movies made more recently and the ones of the yesterday like 10 - 20 years ago. Anyone who have the same feeling? Let discuss that here intelligently and see what's the difference and what changed.

This is something that I've been wondering. We all know that in Sci-Fi a force field and/or barrier of energy is the norm for most super powered beings or battle ships. But I want to know the science behind them. What type of energy actually makes up the field? How does it really work? Can a force field be used to actually deflect a barrage of missiles and energy blasts back at the attacker? Could said force field also absorb the attack as incoming energy ans revert it as an attack on the attacker but in a totally different form of energy? Also, what would be needed to generate a field of energy that could be used as a defensive countermeasure for the body? And do we h…

Do you think it is possible, that dinosaurs (specifically carnivors) possesed some bacteria in their salivia that killed their prey no matter what, like the komodo dragon? And if they did, would it have any signifgant change in the study and understanding of them? Would it change the way scientist look at them? Footage of Komodo dragons eating their prey after the lethal bite.

Yo! I've been wondering about Zoalord teleportation, namely how it works and its limits. During the Mt. Minikami Incident with the Relic, the entire Council teleported from their meeting place at the Arizona Base all the way to Japan without suffering any loss of power, and yet, after that incident we haven't seen any of them utilize teleportation again, unless you count Yentsui's ability to cut open portals in space (which seems alot less efficient than simply porting to wherever you wanna go like Archanfel does or like the Council did when summoned by Barcus to confront Guyot). I mean, I thought teleportation was one of the basic abilities common to all Zoalords, ena…

forgive the long post but ... While rereading the first chapter ( http://www.japan-leg...5036#entry75036) heres something ive only just kind of noticed, or maybe not thought about that much before, or have just plain forgotten becaue its been so long.... When the Guyver organism first interacts with Sho it ejects from the casing and is 100% tendrills and the Control Metal, then some parts of it solidify and then the 'armour' is formed... this makes me think that all the armour is just solidified organism, erm... like if our skin was the tendrils and the soles of our feet were the armour i.e same substance just harder. For some reason i had always thought that the…

first off please forgive any bliding mistakes as i wasnt even going to write this! Ryuki's post promted me to do it!!! and my research has been minimal! Today i was messing around with my (dusty) Guyver Gigantic max factoy figure and i looked inside the clear plastic green power amps and noticed that inside each one is a visible sphere, obviously this is different to the unit G but it made me wonder if each amp has its own gravity conrtoller inside?? is this a find? or me just being forgetful or slow?? looking at the vdf although they are called energy amps, it seems that really they are extra gravity controllers that are amplified by the surrounding orb, and seeing …

First off, I don't know if this fits better here or in the actual Guyver section, so for now I'll put it here. If a mod or admin thinks it'll be better suited or served in the main Guyver section, feel free to move it. Secondly, I'll be basing this partly off canon, partly off my fan fic work, and off my own thoughts and observations which form the basis of how I'll portray such characters in my fan fic and how I see them in the canon of the manga. Now for the actual topic. I'll be touching upon several things and how they apply to the major female characters in Guyver, especially the protagonist. I believe that about everyone on here who've seen certain of my discus…

http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=dn3744 It's 5 years old, this report I mean. Still I didn't come across it until today. It would be interesting to see people's reactions when (provided they do change it) they learn chimps are technically in the same species classification we are in instead of apes.

I am watching a program on tv. it has a load of kids doing maths. these kids are struggling on simple mental arithmetic. like 29 plus 15... these are mid teens kids. I am shocked at this since they have tv shows like "are you smarter than a 10 year old" I am about average at mental arithmetic. so I find this surprising. I thought about it for a bit and i thik.. yes when they get to my age they will probably be as good if not better at this than most adults. so it's a development thing.. but there has always been this idea being thrown about that kids are naturally smarter. it's a myth. they're not. I'm not trying to discredit anyone. I am just expressin…

I like this quote as I do not agree with the 'generally accepted' idea of heat death. It offends me that programs come on TV describing this 'heat death' as a fact, as an inevitability. when they don't even understand what dark matter etc is yet? how can they possibly cite this garbage as if it's a done deal? http://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/index.php?topic=24486.0

I've always wondered this, I've never had the privilege to read any of his books, but is H.P. Lovecraft's deities, old gods and so on based off of actual religious, pagan or demonic entities/gods or are they all created from his own imagination? I always thought it was interesting but the sources on his creatures seems limited to describing them within his own universe. I'm not really looking for more info with regards to their existences within his own stories, but anything referring to them outside of them. Like their inspiration or where he got the ideas for them. This may seem like an odd topic to many, but I actually really enjoy studying religions, belief system…

First it was the comments section getting futzed up, and then Youtube's new owners trying to force Google+ crap down our throats, and now this "copyright claim" that's not even coming from companies that are allegedly making those claims. This crap has got to stop; there is no way that this is right. http://www.change.org/petitions/google-change-the-youtube-comment-section-back-to-its-original-form https://www.change.org/petitions/youtube-stop-flagging-videos-through-artificial-means

Will it ever be possible to have world peace? I really just wish everyone would get along. I'm just not for any type of war and I feel that its unethical to shoot another human being under an circumstance. I understand that its appropriate for any country to defend itself; thats fine with me. But I'm really not for another country invading another just for self gain. I guess the only one way for world peace would be possible, would be that the entire nations be ruled by an Empire. If the countries are all under the same government. Than there would be no need for a war of any sort. That government could regulate anything that it needed from either country. …

What are your views on divorce? My parents got a divorce because they couldn't get along. My mother has been through 2 divorces. I think it varies. But if you're both unhappy and can't stand one another. It's probably for the best. Life is short.

I been following Guyver for a long time and I understand how almost all the powers of the zoanoids, zoalords and guyvers work but theirs one power I can't fully rap my mind around, gravity control attacks. I don't mean attcks like Guyot's Gravity Crusher or Black Hole' those I can easily understand. I'm talking more about attacks like the Pressure Cannon, Gravity Bullets and Gravity Halo. I have a rough idea how some of these power work but I was hoping someone would be able to give me a better understanding of them. P.S. I have read the data files but I find them rather vague on these types of powers.

I'm new to these forums and I started to study philosophy recently and I got really interested in it (although I'm a system's engineer major, I'm getting really hooked on philosophy, don't know why many of my colleagues don't know what philosophy is or why they hate to talk about it?) Anyways this is a major question that I've always had and maybe I'm not using the proper philosophical jargon to ask it accurately (I apologize ahead of time). I aknowledge that this is the guyver forum and I may not get higly academic responses, but I'm interested in hearing the opinions of members from this forum, and their philosophy. I'm interested in hearing a debate between two diffe…

If they can, I think I found the one Aptom got the high frequency spear from! It hasn't been named yet but it appears right here: http://www.japan-leg..._Valkyria/162/6 and http://www.japan-leg..._Valkyria/162/7 Also there appears a Hyper-Zoanoid in that same chapter who has a bio blaster for his torso: http://www.japan-leg...Valkyria/162/13 , but Aptom uses that exact shape for a bio blaster 3 volumes before that: http://www.japan-leg...heritance/147/5 I'm definitely believing Aptom absorbed these Hyper-Zoanoids while Khan had control over him, but only if Hypers are able to be replicated. If they can be I think he absorbed those two. What's everyone's opinion on thi…

http://tremault.wordpress.com/2013/03/25/religion-codified-replacement-for-lost-culture/ These days we see a lot of conversions to new religions and we see a lot of people following particular religions, but is this a sincere decision or do these people seem to pick and choose the religion that seems to offer the ‘best bits’? There are many people who do discover a religion and it resonates with their soul, but how much of this is ‘finding the true god’ and how much of this is ‘finding the code that resonates with the self’? In many ways, the person + religion marriage, says more about that person than it says about the religion, wouldn’t you agree? s…

Okay, so I am a very socially odd person, my years of being bullied and shunned has turned me into a person who suffers from extreme anxiety in social settings. Especially when I'm around a girl I find attractive. For whatever reason, throughout my life it has been incredibly difficult for me to find a girlfriend. I've literally gone decades without one. Sometimes of my own free will but most of the time I'm rejected, friendzoned or given an excuse. This has caused me to be very self-conscious of how I look. Thinking I'm unattractive or ugly. I thought that about myself for years and still sort of do. When my most previous ex would say things like: "You look sexy." or "Da…
