hi all. I think we need a new subsection for the "techie" stuff since no debate is involved here. Not to mention that we have no section dedicated to seeking help. Asking technical help from a debate section doesn't seem to be appropriate. Anyway, i'm really stumped. My pc is shot and i'm trying to fix it without having to replace everything, because its an old model (p4 dual core bought on 2007). I first tested the memory and it failed so i bought a new ram (1gb ddr2 667). It detects the ram now when it boots up, but it won't get past the boot screen. Cmos checksum fail appears so i changed the cmos battery. No effect. Removed all peripherals and still no good. I'm star…

I just saw this movie yesterday, and I can honestly say this is one of my favorite science fiction films of all time. Sharlto Copley gives an excellent performance considering this is his first real film. The CGI is amazing and the alien weaponry effects are pretty brutal.

This movie. It rocks. It makes the first one look like "Challenge of the Gobots". Look for... the balls.

This is a really cool show on SpikeTV. It answers the question: Which of history's greatest warriors would win in a battle to the death??? The show features guys doing various tests with the weapons of each combatant to determine who would win. They use state-of-the-art computers & equipment to help. They use ballistics gel with skulls & other internal stuff inside to be on the receiving end of the weapons testing. Blood & brain matter ends up going all over the place as a result of these tests. If anyone else has heard, X-Men Origins Wolverine leaked out onto the internet. Alot of the SFX is unfinished and wires can be seen in several scenes, but has anyone else seen it? I thought it was better than X-Men 3, but not quite as good as the original X-Men. Overall, the fights were totally badass.

I told myself not to buy another phone until next year, but my phone is starting to die on me. I had it for like 4 years now and I normally wouldn't change phones unless necessary. But dropping a call when I'm right in the middle of a conversation is just not right anymore. Anyways, I've narrowed down my choices for two phones. And it is still Nokia phones. hey guys, I'm interested in learning what you eat. I'm mainly interested in breakfasts at the moment.. I want to elarn what people around he world eat for breakfast. generally in hte UK, we will eat breakfast cereal. cornflakes or rice crispies with milk. or some other similar boxed grain based food. just recently I have gone off it. the idea of a bowl of grain stuff covered in milk just isn't appealing anymore. Has anyone else seen this? I saw it for free with my wife (her dad paid for the tickets). I thought the first half was pretty funny, the twist in it rather surprised me to say the least. I just wish the movie was longer than 93 minutes. Too short.

I'm not sure how many people here like the Appleseed series (manga, OAV and/or new movies) but I just learned that a 26-episode TV series is in production for 2009. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/20 ... ed-tv-show I only recently discovered Appleseed when I watched Ex Machina and the 2004 movie, but I'm loving it. The news of a TV series - and it sounds like it's going to be a prequel - makes me stupidly happy. Just wanted to share.
