Guyver

Are there any Shonen Ace Covers that feature the Guyver prominently? I know you Have Shonen Captain Covers, but I wish you guys had a decent scan of a Shonen Ace Cover With a Guyver (the franchise) on it... Maybe there was one in 2005 featuring the then new anime series. Maybe there was one with it's arrival. Who knows?

So I'm bored, and I like Doomsday, and Guyver. Both visually awesome characters with great physical powers. Now to make the fight interesting, I decided to keep the Gigantic and Exceed Guyver forms out of the battle. I'm interested in discussing if the Guyver can take Doomsday with the default settings of powers. So what do you think? Can the Guyver without his power ups take on the beast that killed Superman? Let's try to keep this board alive while we impatiently wait for a new chapter! We've previously discussed film and anime ideas for Guyver COUNTLESS times, but I don't think we've ever had a thread on a live action TV series (correct me if I'm wrong). With Netflix being super popular at the moment, how would you do a live action Guyver series? Would you change the design of the armour? Would you change the story or follow the manga? Which actors would you like to see play who? Personally, I'd like something similar to Netflix's Daredevil series. Dark and gritty. Show me what you've got!

Just wanted to examine Cabraal's power a bit, looking beyond his iconic Drsgon Lord form. if I had to pin down what types of Zoalord he is, I'd say he's a manipulater type, in the same vain as Barcus and Waferdanos. What I mean by this is that they specialise in the manipulation of others. Alright so like the title says, how would this play out against each other? I never read the books so i'll rely heavily on those who had. Would a creature like IT stand a chance? Or would the guyvers host become dinner?

Gary Dubin who was the voice actor for Guyver II, Zector, and Aptom in the OVA series passed away last year. He died on October 8th, 2016 from bone cancer. I hadn't heard anything about this until just recently. I'm shocked, and deeply saddened by this. May he rest in peace.

When the host of the guyver unit dies a sudden death in battle, the unit is lost. I think we're all agreed on this fact, judging by previous posts. But what if the host were to die of old age? I think we touched on disease in a previous post and that it's believed that it would heal/prevent illnesses. But every creature dies a natural death eventually. What are your thoughts on the matter?

When I came across this magazine called Wild Cartoon Kingdom in 1993, I immediately froze. There was a cartoon Guyver on the cover! Whaaat? I was rereading guyver and i was thinking about apollon's name. Which i'm not sure if its the greek god apollo or Abaddon which is apollyon in greek meaning " The Destroyer ". So there is a chance he's sent there from the creators to destroy the remaining zoalords .I'm just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the meaning of his name and how it could apply to his character. And if he is sent from the creators i don't see why he hasn't killed Alk.

What year is it in the Guyver manga? It started in the 80s, so it was the 80s in the manga, but...it's been 32 years now. Did the manga just retroactively update to modern times, or what? Is there anyway to tell?

We've had three anime, two live-action movies, and several figurine lines but it amazes me that there's never been a Guyver-based video game. Not even so much as a Japan-exclusive mobile game. The Guyver franchise would lend itself perfectly to an action-adventure game. Fighting zoanoids and unlocking new powers (sonic emitters, the megasmasher, Gigantic etc.) How awesome would that be in the hands of the right dev?

Is there anywhere to view translations of the data files? I've been trying to find them but the old location is down. It'd be great if there was somewhere with all of them, just the Zoanoid/Zoalord/Guyver stats not the interviews and stuff, all. Additional question; does the new (relatively speaking) policy on translations extend to the data files and that's why they're so hard to find?

Does anyone feel like the Guyver is completely dead? No new manga chapters, 2 horribly made movies, and a 2005 anime adaptation that didn't even get to see a 2nd season.
