We all know the Guyvers are immensely strong, fast and powerful. Plus they have pretty amazing awareness using the orbs in their helmets, and the ability to react very quickly(mostly referring to 2005 anime when Guyver I shot down a bullet headed for Tetsuro) which is also a skill. However that's just in one fictional universe. So what other characters have near the same attributes in American comics and other anime? For instance, one specific character has been bothering me. I noticed Malmot at the beginning of guyver, who was running away with the Guyver Units, he looked liked his skin had fallen off his muscles and his white fur had fallen out. Perhaps his body was breaking down because he was on his last few days? What would cause a test subject to die from their unstable optimizations? Examples being to my questions on test subject optimization. Liver, heart, kidney, etc. random organ failure. Abnormal cancer. Just curious on how they die within a week or less.

I think Bestbuy must have put it out early because I picked up the new Guyver DVD two days ago. I'm happy to report it's very good with a few exceptions. On the positive side, the animation is perfect, the story follows the manga almost perfectly (which means more Guyver2!), there are a few new suprises that I won't ruin for you that are awesome. A few things I didn't like were some of the voice overs....they should never ever change Guyot's voice. Same for Agito. Not that the new voices are bad, but I miss some of the old ones. i have started a folder in the manga viewer called covers. It contains the covers of the dvds and vhs of the guyver which many of you all ready have.In order to to make this more interesting i would like people to scan their original covers not fan made from different countries. We have plenty members all over the world which sell the guyver i would love to see the different artwork. If this works and is a success we could expand to not only the dvd/vhs covers but the guyver films and even the book volume covers. Even if you have guyver on vcd the art work would be good.This could be a nice collection if everyone contributes.

Devilman guyver hybrid imo would be sick, Guy (guy double target ova) looks like a flying Murakami style zoalord, any other crazy hybrid you can think of????? e.g. Dante guyver, larger more demonic looking and with a sword. An how bad ass would aptom be if he got hold of a unit???

That right folks! Kadokawa is releasing a new Guyver artbook, that is up for pre-order on their official site, with a release date in July. Their official site in purely in Japanese, so I will keep this updated if someone finds an easier place to pre-order.

Yes, you read right, but don't dread, I'll try and make sound comparisons, being a follower of both series. I know the differences, and I pointed them out to some degree in a reply I made in my intro topic. But I noticed plenty of similarities, too. One is angst among the main character/characters. In Twilight, Bella saw herself as average, though not many people agree with that assessment, and Edward saw himself as a monster, in spite of Bella's attempts to convince him otherwise. I wonder how huge and devastating of a fight would go with Guyver Gigantic against Thor. We know Thor is the son of Odin and has fought enemies stronger in Marvel comics. I think Thor would rival that fight with Imakarum. There'd be a lot destruction and I'm sure the Guyver Gigantic would take a lot of damage like the fight with Friedrick Purgstal ( Thor is stronger than Friedrick...both energy and physically as the pagan Thunder God.) but it would be a very interesting battle that I would like to see.
