Recently I've been trying to get people who frequent Reddit into watching / reading Guyver and most have never heard of it. Now the 2005 series might have helped its popularity a little or the fact that there are still models and figures floating around, but it really hurts a manga's popularity when you can't find it on the shelf somewhere. Both Guyver and Berserk came out around the same time, and yet Berserk is actually still popular, dare I say mainstream. Every time you go to Barnes & Noble or any other bookstore, there it is on the shelf. Everybody I talk to knows what Berserk is, but nobody knows what Guyver is. So I'm thinking part of the problem with Guyv…

I don't really post a lot, but thought this ebook ranking article might be of interest to everyone, especially the following quote: "While the sales of its print edition has kept dropping (11,728,368 copies in 2014 to 8,778,048 in 2015 to 6,544,081 in 2016, becoming a half in three years), Hajime Isayama's Attack on Titan still holds its top position at the digital bookstore's general and male manga rankings for four consecutive years since 2013. (Also), One interesting entry is Yoshiki Takaya's long-running sci-fi action series Bio Booster Armor Guyver in the fourth, which has run in Japan for over 30 years and is still loved by many manga readers." Kind of giv…

Something just occurred to me about Mount Minakami. Chronos found out about the relic buried underneath the mountain after investigating the source of the earthquakes right? Whose to say that there aren't more relic scattered about? The entire earth is a lot of ground to cover, and I bet we have not considered the deepest parts of the ocean yet! It was my chance that Chronos discovered the relic. They were extremely luck to find a fully functioning one to boot! Perhaps Chronos has scanned the earth in some manner with their precious ark, but I can almost bet you that Chronos has not covered every nook and cranny just yet. What is the Advocacy's opinion on this? Do you thi…

(If the people in charge want to create sticky topic and move this there then that's fine.) *deep breath* Anyway I've seen epsiodes Six and Seven of the Guyver Anime. *spoilers* Episode Six: The episode looks like it has quite a bit of character deveoplement in it. I especially liked the part when Tetsuro bowed and thanked Sho for resucing Mizuki from episode five and Sho was like "it's cool." But of course more importatly the battle of Guyver I vs. Enzyme. There is one thing I like about the climate for this battle. It's early in the mornign and there's a fog, it helps add a mood. Though I rather enjoyed the actually battle I felt a little disappointed about it. …

So did Waferdanos have three forms? We saw his "human form" after he had the Zoacrystal implanted into his skull. Then we saw his plant king like form when he removed it. Waferdanos being a completely different creature and older than Archanfel. Yet, did he have a Zoalord form? Was he reoptimized to have one? Or was his "Zoalord form" when he grew out his beard and it was super long? I thought that was still his human form and was only using some of his attacks while in that form. I'm not sure about this, and not sure if Takaya ever spoke on the matter.

So our experiment today is to see what happens when you take a fully functioning, brand new one of these..... ..and attach it to a powerful host who suffers from savoir mental illness and disability such as our subject here. How would the guyver or more specifically the control metal react to being bonded to an individual with such significant cognitive impairment and psychotic tendencies like Leatherface?

This is the first time I've seen: http://www.ebay.ie/itm/BIO-BOOSTER-GUYVER-ANIME-PRODUCTION-ART-SETTEI-SHEETS-/222127424583 On ebay, normally you see them on Yahoo Japan. To anyone that wants to pay that much for them though, my advice would be no, don't. These get reproduced a lot in Japan and while very cool you can get them from the Yahoo Japan for around 7000 yen or less (which works out at about 50 to 60 Euro). For what you're getting from this ebay seller, it's an extreme price to pay.

Do you ever think they would do a remake of the movies? I'm thinking maybe Michael Bay in the far or near future? If he decided to remake the version with Sean as the Guyver. He'd probably have Megan Fox play as Mizuki and Shia Labeouf play as the Guyver. Something like that since he's doing stuff like Transformers, horror files like Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elmstreet, and not to mention Ninja Turtles. Thoughts?

I think the data file on Ramoith said it was the most popular Zoanoid and I'm not sure if that was among Chronos warriors or post X-Day. I got to wonder why it is so liked. I mean I think it pops up more in the background than Gregoles, Takaya sure likes it at least. Is it the bat-bear look or the common purple fur? I hope this topic isn't too petty. Design wise I got a soft spot for Broize.

Ok so since it's the 26th of the month, I went to the local bookstore to pick up Shonen Ace and, for the second time in the past 6 months, there was no Guyver. This is despite it saying last month that it would continue this month. I am so pissed at this bullshit that Shonen Ace are pulling now. In fact, I tweeted them immediately with this tweet before throwing the magazine straight in the bin. For those who can't read Japanese, I said: "You fooled me again. Last month it said that Guyver would continue this month but once again, for second the time in 6 months, you've lied to us all and not actually printed it. Any chance you can stop lying? Do you only d…

Hey guys! I have some more questions about the Guyver vs Enzyme fight. After Sho lost his arm and got impaled by Enzyme's tail do you think he could have still fought to some degree? What if Enzyme didn't immediately try to rip out Sho's control medal could Sho have done something to defend himself? Would it have been possible for him to recover from his wounds in time if Guyver III intervened? I'm sorry about the continuous questions about this subject. I always find myself coming back to this fight and reanalyzing it over and over. Something about it keeps me coming back to try and look at from different angles.

I've been wondering. Trying to put myself in Sho's shoes. How does he do it? I mean....he gets the unit, than all of a sudden he has these mutants trying to kill him that are sent by a greedy corporation. His dad is turned into a puppet and he's forced to kill him. He lost his home. Because of Cronos, he's been branded an enemy of the public. And than, Sho does snap and loses the ability to bio morph for a while. But that comes back pretty quick to him after a fight with Aptom. I would lose my damn mind if I were Sho. I have no idea what keeps pushing him..aside from revenge. I would want to run away. I'm surprised he's not drinking or taking anti depressa…

Hello Fellow Guyver Fans, I have been lurking here on and off mostly from Google searches about Guyver and just wanted to mention Kinokuniya sells the latest volumes in store and the one I went to (42nd st NYC) said they would order any back issues from Japan without any extra fees but once the order is placed there are no refunds. If you have one near your area you should check em out, they have a bunch of other manga in Japanese and makes me really wish I could read kanji. Anyone else know any good Japanese bookstore chain or local import shop? (I am in NYC but don't mind travelling) Also Thanks for the scanlations!!! I would have never gotten this far into the…

http://guyver.wikia.com/wiki/Guyver_Advocacy Just bumped into this today. While short it did fill me in on a little I didn't know. And it's one and only comment made me chuckle, the staff put in all these years of hard work into supporting and promoting Guyver and in internet fashion the pages one comment is a s##tpost, typical.

Well instead of posting a whole new topic I'll just ask my questions here. How exactly did the lighting Zoalord die (Purgstall or whatever his name is)? All I remember is that sho (using the gigantic armor) had this drawn out fight with him and then Purgstall starts holding his side like he is cramping. Next thing you know he has this chest bursting wound. My other question is; just how powerful are the libirtus zoniods? I mean they have zoniod level strenght in human form. And as far as Shizu (Grisilda), what are her powers? She seems to be some kind of controller. Which would make sense given her Zoalord form, but I am sure she must be able to do more than watch over th…

So. Seeing as Griselda and the libertus have very short life spans. Is it possible he's going to salvage a zoacrystal off the dead bodies off of Jabir Ibn Hayyan and Luggnagg de Krumeggnic to keep her around?.....or could it be that he's just going to kill them and leave it at that because Agito might be aware that they were behind Richard Guyot's revival as a rogue and attack on the mansion? Payback?

I think we need to make a thread of places where the Guyver manga can be purchased for fellow Guyver fans looking into purchasing the series or whatnot. I just spent $40+ on eBay getting just two volumes (as an artist that's a huge cut into my paycheck). If you guys know of any places that sell the manga or series products (legally) please post a comment so it can be added to the list. Online: Guyver Advocadcy- they get the manga for you, but take a bit of time. eBay Amazon Yesasia Physical places: Kinokuniya (San Fransisco, LA, Chicago)- last checked to have the Chinese volumes, not Japanese.

I've known Guyver for a lot of time. Since I live in a third-world country, it's really difficult for me to get Guyver stuff. Now that I can pay for them, I've ordered the Guyver DVDs. Still, manga is quite difficult to get and you're lucky if you find numbers of Viz Comics at local comic stores. So, I was wondering if there's a document that can update me about what happens after what the anime depicts. And the changes between the manga and the anime. And no, I don't have a credit card.

If you were chosen to be the next zoalord. What power would you want and why? Honestly, I would Richard Guyot's or Imakarum's zoalord powers. I think the ability to make black holes and manipulate gravity would be awesome. Plus I would want the white and black battle form that Guyot and Imakarum have. It'd be so cool to crush your opponents just with gravity itself, that and it's basically one of the best Zoalord battle forms!

So did Krane activate a guyver unit just to over throw the Zoalord? Cory's dad mentioned mass genocide. Was there a plan to mutiny against Kronos? I mean, Krane seems to be very cloak and dagger. The kind of guy who will screw anyone to get what he wants. Seeing as the unit frees the host of mind control. If the zoalord learned that he had activated a unit, Krane would automatically be tried to for some sort of treason having known full well that the zoalord wanted it unactivated. And than Krane goes against orders and tries to kill Shawn.

Ok so this is a little match up between a normal Guyver, we'll as Sho, and SCP-076-2, referred to as Able. SCP-076-2 is a Keter class SCP. This means he his very difficult to contain and highly dangerous to everyone he comes into contact with. I'll provide a copy of his data file. Item #: SCP-076 Object Class: Keter Special Containment Procedures: Containment Area 25b is to be located 200 m below sea level, tunneled out of solid bedrock in a seismologically stable area. Sole access to the containment facility is to be through a vertical elevator shaft separated every fifty (50) meters with a reinforced blast door, constructed of 20 cm thick …

Okay, you know in Dark Hero where he get's knocked out and tied to a cot? I didn't get that part. Why don't I get it? Well, here's what I'm thinking. Didn't Krane and his happy band of gang bangers realize that once he wakes up long before they take their sweet time to get him to Kronos headquarters that he would activate the unit and kill them all? Did they think about that? Obviously not. When they gave him the sedative, they should have taken him immediately and kept him sedated instead of holding him at the camp. Instead they did neither of those things. If they were really serious, they should have sedated him and than killed him in his hu…

w00t! I just got my copy of it today! I am quite satisfied with it. Tetsuro's and Mizuki's last were finally corrected to Segawa, instead of Sekawa. There are 2 typos, but those are forgiveable. Anybody get it too?
