Can't believe nobody has posted this here yet. Lion-O and the warriors from Thundera will be back on television next year in a new animated series set to air on Cartoon Network in 2011. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, the new "Thundercats" series will be the studio's first project to use anime-style animation, and promises to be a "21st century reimagining" of the classic '80s cartoon series. According to the studio, the new series will appeal to both longtime fans and newcomers to the universe of Lion-O and his Thunderan brethren. Calling it "a sweeping tale combining swords and science and boasting ferocious battles with the highest of stakes," the studio …

I just thought I'd share the new addition to my family. Samsung 56" DLP LCD projection HDTV Granted, it isn't plasma, or "true" LCD, but with an HD source it still looks bloody amazing... and the fact that it's freaking HUGE doesn't hurt either. That and there was no way I was going to get a 56" plasma or LCD TV plus TCV stand for $1900 Canadian.

So as May 16th, 2014 draws closer upon us, news regarding the new Ninja Turtles movie has been released. This time in the form of images of some statues that seemed to be on the filming location, as well as a picture of an armored Shredder, who seems to be in some sort of power armor similar to what was used in the movie "Elysium". I personally think the Turtles look awesome. Shredder... Maybe not so much, but does look menacing with that mask/face.

So what are everybody's thoughts on this system? I'm definitely intrigued myself, but I'm concerned that it won't have the hardware specs that third parties are looking. Plus the battery life on the portable screen is key. I love the fact that cartridges are coming back, and I wonder what the cases will look like. And I do like the emphasis on local multiplayer/couch co-op. Now I hope this list of third party supporters stay this big(or get bigger) throughout the console's lifetime. Side-tangent: I don't even know why Konami is on this list. Are they coming out with a pachinko peripheral, or....facebook style game? Though, I would like to play …

" A top-ranking North Korean military official has threatened a nuclear strike on the White House and Pentagon after accusing Washington of raising military tensions on the Korean peninsula." ( http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/northkorea/10997161/North-Korea-threatens-nuclear-strike-on-White-House.html ) Okay, so I heard on the news that North Korea just threatened to blow America up for the 50th time. First it was Kim Jong Un threatening to Nuke Hawaii and Japan. Now this. I have no idea why America or mainly China tolerates this kind of behavior. All North Korea does is make one threat after the other. Seriously. This country is in need of a new forced…

Alright guys, trying to figure out the speed at which our galaxy moves for a part of the 95157 fic. Using that as a universal measurement of time. Here is what I have. Our location (Earth) is approximately 28,000 light years from the center of our galaxy. This gives us a diameter of 56,000 light years. A circumference of 175840 light years. (56,000 X 3.14) (One rotation) A web site I found http://www.pd.astro.it/E-MOSTRA/NEW/A5005MWY.HTM estimates at our lateral distance we travel at approximately 28 kilometers per second. So, one light year, 299792.458 Kilometers per second / 28 KPS = 10706.8735 seconds to reach one rotation. / 60 = 177.447 minutes. / …

Are you more of an optimist, pessimist or just both? Sort of? Kind of? I'm sort of both as it depends. I'm both optimistic and pessimistic as it varies from time to time. I try not to focus on the bad things. Used to I was a pessimist, but now...I like to look at the good things in life. So I vote for the in between.

Kinda late in saying so ( it's been a hectic 2 weeks), but I will be attending Otakon 2007 in Baltimore this year. In which I will be stalking EvilFx and his Guyver costume while he is there too But mainly, I will be sitting in the Artists Alley with a few other ( better than me at most things) artists. I won't have any prints to sell, but I will be doing sketches ect... as well as just geeking out with fans of my other works as well. http://www.richard-kim.com/Otakon/AA07Map.JPG Our tables are way back at E 12-13. If you're in the area and attending the con, please stop by and say hi.

Once again, I will be attending Otakon. But this year, I'll leave plenty of advance warning for those of you who may also be attending. Exact details of where my Artist Alley table will be is still uncertain as registration for them has yet to open. I will update this as I get more info! Post here if you plan on attending, cause last year I never met a single Guyver fan. I hope this year is different.

Now, this image is clearly not the finished product being used in the movie, and I bet the final Jaeger designs will be slightly more bulky looking... But the designs themselves aren't too bad. *Edit* other people have noted that the mecha on the right looks to be made of spare parts from Jaegers from the first movie... Looks like the legs of Crimson Typhoon, some of the torso of Cherno Alpha... and that one arm looks suspiciously like Gypsy Dangers...

Queen Elizabeth II has died - BBC News I just heard the news about Queen Elizabeth II's passing and I am quite saddened about this development. Some may find it strange for me feeling this way despite not being British, but she has this indescribable charm and wit that is most endearing. My heartfelt thoughts to the Royal Family. She will be missed.

hi all. I think we need a new subsection for the "techie" stuff since no debate is involved here. Not to mention that we have no section dedicated to seeking help. Asking technical help from a debate section doesn't seem to be appropriate. Anyway, i'm really stumped. My pc is shot and i'm trying to fix it without having to replace everything, because its an old model (p4 dual core bought on 2007). I first tested the memory and it failed so i bought a new ram (1gb ddr2 667). It detects the ram now when it boots up, but it won't get past the boot screen. Cmos checksum fail appears so i changed the cmos battery. No effect. Removed all peripherals and still no good. I'm star…

Sci-Fi novels. We love 'em. We hate 'em. Sometimes we even sleep with them (or is that just me ) It seems to me there is a serious flaw in many Science Fiction books that always irks me. And that my lovely friends is overwhelming scientific complexity. Serious almost overwhelming scientific complexity. A Novel is defined as 'a fictitious prose narrative of considerable length and complexity, portraying characters and usually presenting a sequential organization of action and scenes.' Now that is a novel, whew... I feel winded just imaging it. An excellent example from an author I enjoy is Orson Scott Card. The novel Ender's Game, which I do suggest for anyone to rea…

Probly not the most exciting news but its kinda cool. IBM's RoadRunner super computer has broken the petaflop barrier. The sound barrier. The four-minute mile. The moon. So many milestones that once seemed insurmountable are now written in the record books of human and technological achievement. Now IBM has added another to that list: the petaflop. A milestone in perspective IBM’s latest Roadrunner system, designed for the U.S. Department of Energy and its Los Alamos Lab, is the first supercomputer to achieve performance at the petaflop level. The accomplishment was announced today by the U.S. Department of Energy in conjunction with the U.S. National Nuclear Security…

Hey everyone, I've been hearing rumors about Young Justice *possibly* getting a season 3 on Netflix, so I've been thinking, "If they can be revived on Netflix, then Avengers EMH deserves a shot there too." So I put together an online petition, and I'm looking for some support. If you want to sign up, here's the link: https://www.change.org/p/netflix-revive-avengers-earth-s-mightiest-heroes-on-netflix?recruiter=27663635&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=copylink

This is a thread about pets and animals that we own or are interested in. Personally, I own two kittens, one named Jade and the other named Snowball. Both are mostly white (Snowball is all white) and are long haired. We have several cats around here, but those are the two that I claim ownership of. As far as other animals, I've been interested in Camels and Barn Owls. I haven't seen a camel in person, nor have I seen a barn owl. I'll at least seen one hopefully within the next week or two, though, since we have a bird sanctuary in town. So talk away about your pets and favorite animals
