Errr... how do you plan on doing that...? Quite frankly, it's mostly pointless. The posts from the past probably have information that might now be inaccurate, or out of date. In a way, it's kind of like necroposting, or somesuch. Sure, there were probably a few "popular" topics in the past, but IMO, nothing that really stood out in my mind. We were a simple forum, with lots of discussion. Now with said discussion gone, it's time to look to the future, and not dwell in the past. Sure, if you do think of a post that has merit for discussion on the forums, by all means, make it. But it's really no different than anyone posting a new topic. Especially with new members and such.

Hard to say, considering they are based on a trilogy of books by Robert Ludlum ( now deceased)... I doubt it. There are a couple more "Bourne" books done by another writer... but I believe they are based before the end of the final book, and I highly doubt they would be made into a movie considering only the trilogy by Ludlum is considered noteworthy.
-
Yeah, they do take a lot of getting used to. Hell I'm still much better with pencil and inking before scanning and then CGing with my tablet. Granted I have been lazy with art for quite a while... The biggest change I find, is having to look at your monitor when drawing... when instinctively you want to look at the tip of your pen instead, like you would do when you draw with a pencil. It's like relearning how to write all over again.

My tablet is currently a 4x5 inch Wacom Graphire 3... but I'll be upgrading to a bigger size pretty soon. But I have used this size of tablet for the last...5 or 6 years, and it's never failed me. I'm only upgrading because I am now trying to get serious with my art. For art programs though... I normally use Photoshop 7 to color... but if I am looking to sketch digitally with my tablet I will go into a paintchat or use an older version of Open Canvas. For a basic human body, in many ways, yes, just made of simple shapes. Although I have evolved past using the crude shapes, and have simplified it over the years due to practice. As for a sample, I don't have anything on hand right now... most of my stuff is still packed ( just moved).

Well, the Guyver proportions aren't too big a deal if you can draw a basic human outline. It's usually best to start with a basic, undetailed human form, and then add armor from there. If you're having problems with that step however, there are plenty of anatomy resources on the net. Plus it ALWAYS helps to have a simple Guyver resource pic available to give yourself an idea of what needs to be done. If you look at any manga artists desk ( including Takaya's from a few shots in the VDF book), they keep pics of their characters close for reference. Sully actually skips an important step that I mentioned above. The drawing of a body. The FIRST thing he does when he starts a pic is finds a suitable base to put armor on. He uses the vast resources of the internet to find a picture of a person/character to use. Sometimes he finds the perfect character pose... and other times he'll mix some different body parts to make the pose he wants. This is why some times his characters have different proportions than the "norm" See, not to sound like I am picking on him, since he'd confirm it himself... Sully cannot draw traditionally like I do. He can Cg the hell out of things though ( much better than myself). Which is why you see a lot of collaberation work between him and myself. And as far as I know... he has always used a mouse. I think I'm the only one with a tablet here.

Kinda late in saying so ( it's been a hectic 2 weeks), but I will be attending Otakon 2007 in Baltimore this year. In which I will be stalking EvilFx and his Guyver costume while he is there too But mainly, I will be sitting in the Artists Alley with a few other ( better than me at most things) artists. I won't have any prints to sell, but I will be doing sketches ect... as well as just geeking out with fans of my other works as well. http://www.richard-kim.com/Otakon/AA07Map.JPG Our tables are way back at E 12-13. If you're in the area and attending the con, please stop by and say hi.

If it was just changing colors, it's pretty simple for phpBB... we shall see...

More likely volume 7 will have the final booklet. It would fit more in their current trend. ie vol 1 being the start, and vol 4 being the middle.
-
Personally, I always liked Dues, even if the artwork for it is rather crude.
-
Yep, it's very possible that they could. Up to this point, he hasn't fought anyone who could possibly steal it off of him.

Well, you aint seen nothin' yet! Here's a buncha pics that I have that some were random drawings, and others were "failed" pics that never made the cut. So prepare yourselves, for the crap of crapola... and if you think they're good... wonder how insane we were to not use them at all ( which is probably most likely). Each pic will have a note beside it, as to why it wasn't used. Rejected - Was drawn, and was rejected by other staff members Unused - A pic drawn on a whim. And I still have a lot that has to be shown in the fics before we can show off the pictures.

Oh don't worry, once this one is done and over with ( Ha! Me finish?), the next fic will be a big one. For both him and Ultimus. -

Oh that little thing? That was the pissed off Destrol from my last fic, who decided he was going to be a big baby and destroy something after Gigantic Guyver 0 and Sara were able to beat him. He really is just a child sometimes... -
Got some actual writing done today! There is more to this done, but I figure that would be a good point to leave a preview. Naturally it's only gone through a quick spellcheck, and no grammar check yet. Nor has it been edited by anyone other than myself. Things are looking up though... if I can actually start writing again. Enjoy! --------------------------------------------------- Warrior GuyverC: Takeover By: Matt Bellamy E-mail: Guyver_9@hotmail.com Ken woke up in a cold sweat. Was it a dream? It couldn't have been... it felt so real. The memories from the battle with the Thazell Hyper Zoanoids still seemed so real in his mind. He felt his arm, the one that he knew, technically was artificial... the one he had gotten lopped off... even though Cyber Darks nanites had reconstructed it, much like how a Guyver would regenerate a lost limb, he could still feel the pain in the dream, and it did not feel one hundred percent natural to him anymore. He was physically better than he's ever been. In fact, in top shape. The nanites saw to that. Rebuilding muscle, and removing imperfection in his body. At first he thought he'd end up like Cyber Dark, only if it wasn't their one remaining order of " Regenerate the host", and since he was human when they got the job, he never became a full cyborg. He sat up on his portable bed. He wondered how exactly he got messed up in all this. Was it his own stupidity? Bravery? The desire to save his friend? He remembered clearly the day Guyver 0 and he hijacked the original Chronos Robo-Guyver unit, in order to fight their way into the Chronos base, and save Max, who, himself got mixed up in this. Ken actually smirked, remembering the fallout after they had returned. Commander Forrester really let him have it for stealing the prototype. He would have been jailed if it wasn't for the fact Sho and Max had spoke up in his defense, and then the General making the final decision. He was then put through the most rigorous training regimen ever. If he wanted to use the most advanced piece of equipment they had, he better have been able to fight, and take a beating. Fortunately, he was already in good shape, and had been planning a military career anyway... only now, he was in much deeper than a grunts part time service. Ken got up and washed his face in the sink. At least he had accomodations, even in a small camp like this. The perks of being a Military higher up. His rank probably was some sort of record for how fast he rose. Now the military trusted him enough to lead a whole 2 battalions of the new Wolf Armors. Suddenly he felt a cold chill up his spine, as the armor plates that bring out the Robo Guyver armor formed on his body. Someone was breaking into his quarters. He went back to his bed, and laid down, closing his eyes, but keeping his hearing sharp, his back to the door. He heard the door latch move as someone turned the door handle, and a slight breeze enter the room from the opening door. Whoever this was, they were good. they'd have to be if they were here to eliminate him. He heard a slow unzipping of something, then a rustling as something soft hit the ground. Hiding a weapon in a duffel bag eh? He rolled over onto his back, pretending to still be asleep. He was about to open his eyes and power up, when he felt two soft, bare hands on his chest, followed by the rest of the assailants body... which seemed to be... naked? His eyes popped open, only to have a finger put over his lips, and the assailant finally speak. " Shhhhhh... you don't want to wake the whole camp, hmmmm...?" Meanwhile... Prometheus started cursing under his breath. In a second this whole mission would have to be scrapped. Within a split second of that thought, he disappeared from his current position. All that he could now see was a bright white. The explosion was massive. Bio-Titans were engineered to be the top of the line soldiers for Chronos, and now Prometheus knew why. Powerful separately, but even more powerful when in groups. Even the likes of Dreadnought would need to be careful. Prometheus was caught dead center in the explosion, his body shields working at maximum were not enough to completely protect him from the blast, and he was sent flying. He was however still able to catch himself in mid air. Mid air? The pain brought his focus back. He looked down... he was about 3 kilometers from the ground. " How...?" he floated there for a minute, tryign to figure out exactly what happened. He remembered trying to teleport down to the exploding Bio-Titan, but not what happened after. He shook it off. Reflex. He had mentally teleported again, taking the Bio-Titan with him. Just how good was his Crystal based control medal? That matrix sure was a piece of work. He paused, his train of thought broken, as he sensed movement below him. He spun around to look down... a bear. Actual wildlife. he smirked under his armor. Using his sensors, he scanned the base once again. Nothing. Mission accomplished... His crystal flashed, as his body began to regenerate the damage faster. When it completed, a piece of his armor retracted revealing the shirt he had been wearing. He pulled a small device out of his pocket, and pressed a button on it. " Prometheus to base. Target is clear, mission accomplished." He spoke into it. General Kulsers voice came on over the other end. " Good work Greg..." his voice waining, as if something was disturbing him. " Sir?" Greg was puzzled. " Teams are already on there way. I'll stay and support them if..." " New orders for you." Kulser cracked in again. " Head to Vancouver. Rescue op." " Vancouver sir? What happened?" " Please, Greg... I... just go... Kulser out..." Greg frowned under his armor. This was a bad sign. The General only got this way when something really terrible has happened. Greg's crystal flashed as teleported away, and in moments appearing over Vancouver. At first, he did not see it. it was only until he turned around, and looked down that it became clear what had happened. His crystal flared again as he scanned the area for any life signs. He sighed a sigh of relief to see that most of the shelters had been protected. The loss of life had not been as bad as one might first guess by looking at the destruction. However, the locations of 2 shelters were close to point Zero... and life signs were nil. Greg sat there silently for a moment, bowing his head. If only he had been here, and not pre-occupied with those Bio-Titans, he might have been able to stop whatever the hell did this. He started floating down to the city. Priorities first... check the shelters nearby first. See if they need any help. Then, the part he hated doing the most... finding the bodies of those who died... if they had not been vaporised... he shuddered at that thought as he headed towards the closest shelter. Canadian ACTF HQ - Guyver 0 entered the lab holding Sara, who was covered in a now bloody blanket. He destroyed arm wrapped separately by the field medics. " My god! What happened?" Gast ran up to them. Guyver 0 looked down at Gast. Gast just nodded " On the table, next to the tube." Guyver 0 walked over and set her down. Gast looked over at one of his assistants. " Lets get her hooked up, I don;t think we have much time." The two of them started putting sensors all over her body, still in combat mode. Guyver 0 had backed off, and watched as they worked. Within 20 seconds, they had all the senors on her, as the slid the table over, and with Guyver 0's hep, got her into the tube. As soon as it was sealed, it filled up with a greenish liquid. " Alright, hows she doing?" Gast looked over at his assistant. " Life signs are weak. She in shock, but stable." Gast nodded. Will disengaged his armor. " Staying here I assume?" Gast looked at him. Will just nodded. Gast motioned over to an examination chair. " Sit, rest... you've probably earned it." Will nodded, and did just that. Manitoba, 05:00 Ken awoke with a bit of a startle. Someone was knocking on the door to his quarters. He got up, and tossed on his military jumpsuit " I'm coming, I'm coming..." he half said. He left the small bedroom, and entered a bit bigger room, with a small kitchen and a table with 6 or 7 chairs, usually reserved for small meetings. He looked a cross the room at the door, it was Kent, one the of the Black Knights. " It's open actually." Ken said as he put some coffee on. Kent came into the room, looking a little worried. " Sir, we may have a problem!" " Calm down soldier." he shook his head. " What happened?" " It seems Agent Landon has gone missing sir." He paused for a moment to catch his breath. " We cannot find her anywhere." " Did someone mention my name?" Samantha Landon walked into the door way from the bedroom, wearing a half open jumpsuit of her own. After looking to see who it was, she zipped up a little more. " I think I can vouch for her whereabouts captain." Ken gave a little smirk. Bartfeld just sighed a sigh of relief, then paused for a second, finally cluing in as to what went on. " You... and you...? Wha...? How...? Why...?" Samantha leaned against the doorway. " But after all those times I..." Kent started getting a little mad. " Why HIM!?" Samantha grinned a bit. She had an answer well prepared for him it seemed, but one look at Ken made her stop. Kent was clearly getting a little flustered. " Why do you go cool off soldier. We need everyone we can get for this battle." Ken jumped in. Kent growled a bit, and stormed out, slamming the door behind him. " Did you and he...?" Samantha shook her head. " He wishes. When I was assigned to the Knights, he tried for so long to get me to go out with him." She shrugged. " The wannabe player act didn't really roll that well with me." Ken nodded. " Coffee?" " I'd love some." She smiled. Vancouver; Greg Howzer just walked out of the last remaining shelter, carrying a few sheets of paper. He looked around at the devastation, and took another look at the papers in his hand. " One Hundred, sixty five people dead. Thirty seven still missing." He shook his head. Destrol would pay for this. Both he and Max could now take Destrol out. The problem is, Chronos has a few weapons of their own, more powerful than either Max or himself. And even though most of them are busy down south right now, they probably have one just waiting on the sidelines, just in case. Without much more than a thought, he teleported away, appearing right behind General Kulsers office door. He knocked gently. " General? It's Howzer." " Come in Greg." Greg walked in, and the general was sitting behind his desk. " I take it, you have seen what happened?" Greg nodded as he sat down. " In the past, I have wondered, since the creators return, and other Alien species showing up, rationalising chronos' plans... why we haven't been in agreement with them." " Sir...?" " It's things like this, that remind me exactly why we fight both sides." There was a moment of silence. Greg then put the papers on the Generals desk. " Final count, One Hundred, sixty five dead. Thirty seven missing. Seventy eight in some state of injury." The blast knocked out two smaller shelters, one completely, the other partially collapsed." The General listened as Greg listed off the information. " Out of those losses, we lost 24 soldiers, and quite a bit of shelter resources." Greg continued. " The whole area has been sectioned off, and clearing of the rubble, and finding bodies has already commenced." " Will they find anything?" Greg shook his head. " It's doubtful. From witness reports, the blast clearly incinerated anything it touched." He looked at the General, " However, the blast was only a surface blast. Seismic reports indicate most of the buildings in that area had deep basements, and possibly bomb shelters of there own." The General slowly nodded, taking it all in. He picked up the sheets and started reading through them, while Greg remained quiet. The Generals eyes widened a bit as he read one of the names on the list. " This list is accurate, correct?" Greg nodded. " Very. We've been keeping a good track of anyone who entered the shelters." The General rubbed his eyes. " This is not good..." Manitoba, 08:00, Ken looked at his watch. 1 hour until it was time to head out. Thankfully, all the equipment had been loaded and prepared the night before, leaving the morning for the troops to ready themselves, instead of having to worry about their machines as well. His mind racing with many thoughts. Things that need to be accomplished, things that could go wrong, and things that could go TERRIBLY wrong. And yet... despite the negative feelings he had about the mission, somehow he seemed optimistic. Reports are confirming that the main guns of Chronos have bigger things to be worrying about, what with Dreadnought, and other, unconfirmed power houses fighting down south. Hell even Max, now dubbed Ultimus, has gone down to fight. And that was only a day or two ago. It was that time that he was contacted, and shuffled over to this position. Thankfully they had started preparing for this mission, weeks in advance, but he still felt rushed. Although the marines had prepared plenty for the upcoming mission, he has had barely enough time to run over the battle plan, let alone lead it. But, it seemed like a simple enough plan... if what they hope is true. These armors have little trouble with regular Zoanoids, but if there is anything there that is above the norm... well it could turn downhill. That of course was why he is there as well. At best he could handle a Proto-Zoalord... if he got lucky. He had walked past the Black Knights trailer a few times on his final checks. They had already been loaded into their armors. It was probably for the best. It was now game time, and nobody needed unnecessary distractions. In all, there was quite the mixture of units they had for this mission. 50 units, about 30 of them being the latest Wolf Armor designs. The others were a mixture of retrofitted Blue and Red units on loan previously from the United States. They weren't much better than artillery units now, but at least they could cover any units going into the base pretty well with the new additions to their arsenal. He walked around a bit more, and pondered about the battle plan itself. Attacking a Chronos base, without a single Guyver unit? As ludicrous as it sounded, they were sure as hell that they would succeed. He headed for the lead transport. Although their was a command car, full of tacticians, he would be riding in the lead. Granted, his armor allowed him to tap into the communication networks of anything nearby, so he was always tapped into the network. Minutes seemed to pass like hours until the faint sounds of distant engines starting. Maybe a bit of his inexperience in large battles was starting to weigh on him... or it could have been the bad feeling he had in his gut... but either way it was time to go, and he'd worry about that later.

I coughed up something on a piece of paper, and decided to scan it. The resemblence to the description in the datafile is purely coincidental, I assure you.

Trying running your posts through a spellcheck program, and you will see what he means. http://www.spellcheck.net/ Street slang does not translate well into typing. Please try to refrain from doing so in the future. Your posts are hard to read, and quite frankly, people are starting to complain.

It's an unfortunate thing, spelling and grammar. Especially when it's tough to get new members when you don't seem to like to update the website at all. If the problem is bad enough, we will PM someone and ask that they at least try to improve... but the 3 strikes rule for Grammar warnings is a bit dated, and I think that we have mellowed a bit more now, especially since we are not the only Guyver forum on the net anymore. Personally, I don't think we need to loose any more members than we already have in the past.

Actually, Sully doesn't use a tablet at all. Even though his pictures are all done on the PC. You have to understand how he works with his pictures, to understand how he get's the basics down. What he does, is photo/picture editing. He takes an existing photo/picture of a character in a pose he likes ( sometimes mixing and matching limbs from multiple photos/pics to acheive the pose he wants), and then adds Guyver armor/whatever over the pic. After that, using a mouse is fairly easy for coloring and shading if your used to using them, which Sully is. But I find doing lineart on the PC a lot harder than on paper/ink and scanning. It's something I only ever attempt in a Paintchat or Oekaki, and it usually comes out kind sloppy. ( but then, as mentioned, Photoshop isn't great for lineart... and Photoshop is my main art program). Speaking of Art programs... I'm going to have to kidnap Leigh-san into an Open Canvas drawing session sometime.

A lot of artists, including her and myself, have something called a graphics tablet. Which is basically like an advanced mousepad, that allows you to use the pen you get with it, to use the computers cursor like the tip of a pen, instead of using a mouse. For drawing on the computer, there is isn't anythign better to work with. Granted, the bigger and better you go, they get a lot more expensive. But, as mentioned in other threads... despite what tools you may have, drawing still requires studying and practice.

One of the things to note about current Chronos soldiers, and how Chronos isn't too worried about the Guyvers on their side. Despite the fact that their telepathy no longer works on them, actual Chronos soldiers in our fic also have mental conditioning that make them loyal to Chronos on their own. So WG Vamore is loyal to Chronos, not because of beign controlled by Telepathy, but because it is entered into his genetic code that he is part of Chronos. This is something a Guyver cannot "fix", since it's not an external source, but something the Zoanoids were "born" with. It's a handy thing to have, esepcially in our fic when their are so many units floating around.

Anyone for some snowboarding? More like faceplanting into a snowbank for me Yes, despite the fact I lve fairly close to some excellent ski resorts... I can't ski or snowboard worth crap
-
Yay! Leigh-san actually drew something! Something Guyver! First me actually drawing something... now her... Hell really has frozen over
-
The very evil, omnipotent, decider of all things! A coin flip. Or not, but we'll see if that actually happens first.
-
I do tend to picture the idea in my head first. That is always a first. But drawing him in 10 minutes like that... probably comes more from practice... and the fact that he's my character, and I made a few changes on his facial structure to make him look cooler up close. But you will note that I still make mistakes. Like the breathers... they are so not symetrical. As well with the more hidden side of his head. That's all cheating. I'm pretty sure they aren't perfect, but my art isn't made for critics. It's made to show people what they are supposed to look like, instead of letting the writen desciption be the only way to describe him.

Moving to Warrior Guyver Fanfiction. Note that although he is my character, and the star of his own fan fic, he is still very much apart of the WG story and plot, and we have had several crossovers to show that he indeed part of the main fic, just in a different part of the world. In fact, he was just in one of the parts of 7 Days and teamed up with the ladies of the main WG Fan Fic. That being said... Yes. There are much future plans for him. He wasn't in my last fic very much because he went down to help Jason/Dreadnought out. But soon he'll be back into his own stomping grounds, with some big plans for him. I REALLY just need to get back into writing mode. ...but just cause, here's a quickie Ultimus bust showing a bit more detailed look at his head design. ( just sketched up in the last 10 minutes! Wooo!)
