  1. If we get an announcement in February for the Guyver Gigantic, it could still be a Q2 or Q3 release. Because of the odd scheduling, I have seen some pre-orders go up pretty quickly after the announcement. So there is still hope for that one. But we're probably looking at 2027/28 for Guyver 3 and Gigantic Dark...
  2. Sadly, unless Max Factory has another show of their own before, the next Wonderfest is in February, which is usually when release dates are announced...
  3. This one has to be an issue with your setup... I just tried my Edge, which I never use, and all youtube videos on the forum show up properly.
  4. I think invision board has removed that ability... But they have given us another option. Down at the bottom right of the text box you will see an "Other Media" clickable small menu where you can choose "Insert Image from URL". It will pop up a small window with a spot to put in the URL.
  5. Yeah, it really sucked for people back in 2005-2011 when the BFC Max figures were being released... Online ordering wasn't as easy, and advertising to the west was not really done. Finally being able to get a Gigantic Guyver at launch prices is going to be a big boon for a lot of people now. Sadly, a lot of people slept on the newest Guyver 1 to go with it, and are either paying the price for it... or buying the newly released bootlegs... Which are still not great, but are a huge step up over the malformed original Guyver 1 Figma bootleg (edit: turns out the bootlegs are worse than I suggested initially)
  6. I'd say closer to $200 USD. The new Guyver 1 was around $80-90 with a little bit of accessories. If Guyver 3 has similar accessories to the old figma ( and it looks like it does have the folded arms), will likely be around $120-130-ish. So considering the extra figure size, and extra accessories, based on the BFC MAX figure, does increase the price significantly over the others. So $200 seems about right. Would like to see it a bit lower if they are nice about it.
  7. This time it is a suit reveal...
  8. So a teaser of a teaser? I hate marketing people so much.
  9. Haha, yeah, the cartoons were new, just done in the old style. I also found it kind of predictable, but kind of in a good way... In that the events happened the way I wanted them to, so it worked out for me. I liked the general feel of the movie. It didn't feel like a standard Marvel movie, and had its own style. I can appreciate what they were going for with it. It's not one with badass scenes that I will revisit often... But as a whole it was a good movie. Definitely the best Fantastic Four movie out of all of them. But yeah, post credits scene was disappointing as I would have liked a bit more set up for Doomsday... But I guess we'll just have to wait for the next one... Which is sadly about a full year away... And then 5 months later than that for Doomsday itself.
  10. Haha, They really like these two pages from vol 18... 😅
  11. Someone on the Guyver!! facebook group posted an image from this, which made me curious. Found more images and it clearly was inspired by Guyver... And it turns out, it was available on Book Walker... So I bought both volumes, and ripped them. Still completely raw in Japanese sadly. "A clan of monsters that have existed since the Asuka period and protects the emperor from evil beasts called "monsters". Until now, they have continued to secretly fight fierce battles with monsters. The demonic beasts that resisted the Youbu clan evolved by absorbing human knowledge, and some of the demonic beasts that acquired cunning created an organization called the Grudges and tried to take over the human world. A battle for the fate of two races, humans and beasts. What is in its path...?" I uploaded it to my Megadrive if anyone is interested. https://mega.nz/file/CoswRYbK#7icdS0_A6dYci6-dG3O8u6mrr0CrPGA15GbrIi3xu1s It is a short little manga published back in 1992, probably trying to build off of the popularity of Guyver (and similar series) at the time... And it really shares a lot in common with Guyver... - There is an Evil Organization, with a fancy dressed Leader like Archanphel, with transforming henchmen in suits and shades. Though from the description of the series, they are Demons/Monsters rather than upgraded humans. - The hero seems to be quite strong as a human. Definitely above human power. Might not fully be human so he doesn't always use the armor... but the armor is summoned by a bracelet the human has. - The armor seems to be a separate living creature that can fight on its own and is about the size of the Gigantic. Seems to be beast like in fighting when by itself. - The main human can enter the armor and take control, but it is more like being in a mech suit rather than fully bonded like the Guyver. - The armor has a laser sword on its arms, can shot a black ball of energy, and can shoot a powerful large beam, but from its hands, more similar to a Kamehameha from Dragonball. The suit can fly from rockets in its legs. - The suit can also grow to a larger size... Not quite the same size as Gigantic Exceed. Looks to be maybe closer to 30-35 meters. The human stands on its shoulder and issues commands from there. - There is a "Cool Guy" character that helps the main character with fancy shades and a large scar on one side of his face. He uses a long katana like sword instead of a sweet hand cannon revolver. He is very strong and can transform his arms and legs into armored forms. So kind of a Murakami/Aptom hybrid character. - There is a second suit of armor of a darker color. It looks pretty identical unfortunately, but might be some minor differences I missed. The alternate cover suggests it might be green instead of a black like color like it appears in the comic. It is used by the bad guy (Archanphel like guy, who is already super strong), but seems to have been once owned by the main characters... Brother? Hard to say since it is untranslated. - Much more silly moments than the Guyver and a slight bit more random ecchi level nudity.
  12. I completely missed it, and just had it pointed out... That Steve Wang noted in the Guyver Geek interview he did about 4 months ago that Max factory was doing it... I can't believe I missed that.
  13. A new shot of something we barely saw in another pic... A Proto-type Dark Hero Guyver figure? What's with all the question marks Max? It looks like there is already added articulation in the elbows...
  14. Or, maybe forget that... lol... Just saw a new pic from the side... And though tiny... They do look to be in scale. For reference I always use Guyver 1's control metal, and the Gigantics waist orb. G1's control metal should just be below it... And this image suggests it still is.
  15. I did a mock up of the possible new scale of the Gigantic figures. Hopefully they aren't this bad... But certainly not in scale anymore.
  16. More pics, this time officially from Max Factory
  17. Looks like my silly prediction came true... new Figma releases for Guyver 3 and Gigantic Dark! And colored Guyver Giganitc! Also weirdly, Gigantic Darks eyes are colored... The only downside that a number of people have noticed, is that the scale of the Gigantic's seems to be off... When they showed the first proto-type, it was in scale... But now they seem to be similar in scale to what the BFC MAX line used. HOPFULLY it is just something weird about the pictures... But it is concerning. Also some new shots of the Titanomachina crossover with Guyver. Better shots of the arm blade design, which I am much happier with.
  18. I guess we're talking the tail of of Dragonlord Khan... 😅
  19. A minor, hopefully last required update from today on the Guyver!! Facebook group: "We’re finalizing post sound at the moment, which is the last piece. When I’m done, it’s done. And I’m at the tail end. Hang tight."
  20. I thought it was good. Nothing to really make me want to go see it multiple times, but definitely very entertaining and I enjoyed it quite a lot. Only complaint I have is that the Red Guardian schtick is getting pretty old by this point. Still had some great scenes... but by the very end I am pretty much done with his zany-ness. It wasn't quite enough to make me think Marvel is "Back"... And Fantastic Four will not do that for me either, even if that proves to be excellent. For me, it's all going to be about what happens in Doomsday. How they are going to make everything work, after some lackluster showings, many dimensions and side stories that we have no clue how they will fit... And how RDJ's Doom is going to work. *Edit* Also got mad Cronos vibes from the base in the mountain.
  21. I will be disappointed if the previous Tron movie isn't somehow mentioned... But doesn't look like the stars of the old movie have come back, so probably not.
  22. So, I watched it. I did not like it very much. Changed the lore and good parts of the plot of the games far too much. I give it about a 4/10. LIL BIT OF SPOILERS IN THE QUOTE . . . . . . Unlike the Castlevania series, whose backstory was pretty easy to manipulate because it was from a NES game, Devil May Cry was much more recent... With a recently made great game in DMC5, and a large fan favorite game in DMC3 being completely negated. I'm going with a 4/10. I see part of what they were trying to do, but changing things so much has only hurt the concepts already in place that fans loved and made the series what it actually is. Also, at some times the animation wasn't great. I won't call it an insult to the series, but it certainly is its own thing like DMC2.
