Since this post has been brought back up now... Here's the updated image of my Guyver collection... Since I completed the BFC Max line completely, and of course the newer Figma Guyver 1 and 1/6th scale Guyver 1. Also picked up some more of the trading figures... and also got the Guyver Unit DVD case with the rare figure from it. Had to have new glass shelves made and hangers to put them on to fit the rest of the collection.

Goodsmile has offically now put up the re-release for preorder! Now's your chance to get him for retail price! Pre-order is now open, and runs until May 6th, 2026! With an expected release date in November 2026! So far, only Goodsmile and Goodsmile US sites have it up. don't know if other distributors will get in on it yet. Please note, the prices and release dates are different for Goodsmile US, due to importing fees and the time it takes to import the stock. If you want any of the figures quicker, use the Japanese site to order from. though of course it will likely cost a bit more in shipping and fees. Max Watanabe posted a couple images from the exhibit early as they are setting up still. Most importantly, the 1/6th Guyver 3 returns! Shame it isn't in color... But at least it's still being shown!

We have gotten our first early color image release of the new Guyver 3 Figma. It still says Pending, so we're likely still around 6 or so months before we hear about a pre-order... but they could also rush this one out too... So normal routines may not apply. But they are really getting everything ready to make the new 40th anniversary event stand out.

They keep on adding new merch too... Now there is a plush/pillow Guyver unit...

Gigantic Dark is officially Figma #680...! Which means we could see a much earlier release date than most of us ever hoped for, since Guyver Gigantic is Figma #671! The official Max Factory site already has a listing for Figma #681 with a release date of December... While that doesn't mean they release them in order... It's usually not too far off as the page translation says pre-order is coming soon! So they might be waiting for the new 40th Anniversary event for it's official pre-order and release date announcement.

A short video released by Max Factory advertising the re-release of the Guyver 1 Ultimate Edition Figma at the upcoming 40th Anniversary Event seems to suggest that the new Figma of Gigantic Dark might not be too far behind...

Could be a legacy thing or a contract they have with Takaya. The website does show them doing this a lot, so they might also just not want to let anything go, no matter how successful or dead the series is. The paranoid part of you might also be correct... Something that is also interesting about Japanese Trademark Law, is that if nothing is done with a license after 3 years of inactivity, someone else can appeal and see about getting the Trademark revoked. And now we are getting new Figma figures... That is taking more than a year, if not more than 2 years for each figure... We randomly get an artbook with zero new artwork... They might just be doing them for that reason... But at least when they do release them, they are of high quality and sell well.

As of December 15th, 2025, Kadokawa has renewed the Trademark rights for Guyver. This is something that has to be done every 10 years in Japan... Which the last time they did it, the Manga was actually still being published. https://chizai-watch.com/t/2025139888?q=kadokawa&d=20251215&a=株式会社KADOKAWA It's a bit of interesting news that doesn't actually tell us anything about what is going on with the Manga... Only that Kadokawa is still invested in owning the franchise and controlling what various products can use it.

You usually don't have to pay when you pre-order, and only pay when it is ready to ship. I think there is exceptions for some payment apps that you might have to pay at pre-order, but I didn't have to when I ordered my Guyver 1's.

Right!?! I may only be getting one of these, which fortunately is enough because I use Amiami and they are only allowing 1 per customer.

The Figma Guyver Gigantic is now up for preorder! The pre-order closes on February 11th, 2026! The Price is: 21,800 Yen - Approximately $140 US! Release Date is: October 2026 Remember, pre-ordering is going to the the CHEAPEST this figure will EVER be. I cannot state this enough. These figures skyrocket in price after they are released. There currently does not seem to be any exclusive item from Goodsmile, so ordering from them isn't a priority for those who want the most. I am just happy they listened to my nit-picky suggestion... And make sure the Cronos troopers have chin straps for their helmets. But they did it! 😁

I really need to get update pictures to my collection done... But then I look over at the rather large pile of kits I haven't built and think I should probably work on them first... But just a quick pic I took a couple days ago... After finishing the Detonator Orgun Moderoid model kit and thought it would be silly to pose 3 characters with similar looking big attacks together. I've set it to unlimited for Member+ and ++'s for now. We'll see how that works!

I can't believe we missed a month! These were from the start of October! They did Shin/Sin's Zoalord form! And another Zoanoid.

Evil Ted has completed the Foam stunt prop version of the case! He is still working on the lighting on the hero prop and said it should be done tomorrow.

I love that Evil Ted is making the case. Bringing back the old legends to work on the fan project just hits right in the nostalgia. Some in progress shots from his Facebook page.

Indeed... Now they just need a couple more armor pieces for a proper armor conversion... Just the mid torso, cod piece and upper legs. Also new feet. lol

It's been a week and we finally got some shots of the upcoming Guyver merch from the Shanghai Wonderfest 2025. No preorder dates yet, but the Titanomachia Guyver 1 and Guyver 3 kits are looking better, this time with a splash of color... But I don't think they are done with the armor on them just yet. And a couple shots of the upcoming Figma Guyver Gigantic. Hopefully we will get a pre-order date soon. Thanks to Donald Burtschi from the Guyver!! Facebook group for sharing these!

If we get an announcement in February for the Guyver Gigantic, it could still be a Q2 or Q3 release. Because of the odd scheduling, I have seen some pre-orders go up pretty quickly after the announcement. So there is still hope for that one. But we're probably looking at 2027/28 for Guyver 3 and Gigantic Dark...
