New trailer is up! THIS is what I was talking about in my previous post about all the hate. NOW we have a bit more plot and some character motivations. At least for Clark and Bruce. I am now much more optimistic for this movie. I still think it will no doubt have issues ( I mean, really everything does), but at least now we can see what direction they are going in.

According to what has been said, a bit of all 3. Aftermath of DBZ, BoG and seems to deal with RoF as well. I hope it doesn't jump around too much. Like maybe after an episode we get a "This is the part where you watch BoG. the next episode will continue afterwards."

Opening is out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMShwUJKvB4 I find it rather... Meh. Definitely not as catchy as Dragonball Z's 2 previous openings, and it not being Hironobu Kageyama just doesn't make it feel "Authentic".(Yeah I know GT didn't either. And feels even less authentic for it as well). Animation looks good though.

Fan made "funny moments" aside, I think the funniest thing I saw in Guyver was in the 2005 anime, in the first episode, where Tetsuro is poking the unit with a stick. I did not expect that at all, and just looked hilarious.

Maybe it would. Maybe they need a LOT of power to do so. Say, from a collection of Zoacrystals?

Final Fantasy VII Remake Trailer.
Matt Bellamy replied to H222G981's topic in Japanese Entertainment
Well considering there is no actual release date, we're probably looking at least a 2017 release. But officially? If it will be, I bet Sony has an embargo on promoting it, much like they did with Destiny. It could very well be slated for the One (especially since the PS4 and XB1 are a lot closer in terms of how games are made), but we won't know until there is a website and release date for it. The most important part from the interviews I've read is, the only thing they have not said, is come out and say "PS4 Exclusive". They seem to be dancing around the answer to that question. -
Odd how the video you posted has nothing to do with the Xbox One Backwards compatibility announcement, as is about an actual emulator for the PC to run 360 games. ANYWAY As I have been thinking about it more... I am debating whether or not this will actually make any kind of real difference, EXCEPT for people who do not pay attention to the actual fine print of the announcement. Lots of gamers will just hear "Xbox One can now play 360 games!" and finally think they should upgrade. This, is EXACTLY what Microsoft wants. But in reality, at the start of it, only about 100 games will actually be available. More to come yes, on an unannounced schedule. So, I bet at least half if not more or the games I own, will work at the beginning of it. A lot of them will be newer games too, so that is a plus ( if people have a backlog of games to play) But yay, backward compatibility. So yeah, it could work out for them, but it might backfire a little bit, even though they have been forthright about the limitations of the backwards compatibility.

Yes. Windows 8 sucks. We've known this for a long time, including Microsoft themselves. I was saddened when I got my new PC last month that I had to get Windows 8 installed. If you have it, there should be a little windows like icon on the bottom right of your task bar, to sign up for the FREE Windows 10 upgrade that drops July 29th. All Windows 7 and 8 users get it for free. From what they have shown, Windows 10 will restore a lot of previous features that were removed in Windows 8 to make it feel a lot more like previous versions. Or if you're able to get Windows 7 on the cheap, you can "upgrade" to it... But can still get Windows 10 in a months time.

Well considering it's going to be pretty limited right away, it's not THAT big of a deal... yet. However, Microsoft is clearly hoping that this will help push people who own a 360 and games, and have not bought an Xbox One yet, into picking up a Xbox One. And frankly, I could see that helping. Despite it being the "Current Generation", up to this point there hasn't been as much reason to buy a Xbox One OR PS4. This E3 certainly will help change that, as they actually focused on the newer consoles, rather than any announcements for the 360 and PS3. The Xbox ONE having at least some backwards compatibility will certainly give them a boost... Maybe not enough to equal or pass Sony's bigger fanbase, but definitely help sales figures for sure. People have bitched and whined every generation for every console after the PS2 when they could not play old games on the new system. It certainly helped the 360, despite some early issues... But not THAT much since there wasn't very many Xbox titles in the first place. But now there are a ton of 360 games, and a lot of people have a 360. Thankfully, I own both already. It's going to be an expensive time coming for me. And I will no doubt enjoy the majority of it.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Trailer.
Matt Bellamy replied to H222G981's topic in Japanese Entertainment
I highly doubt it. I don't think they would change a major plot point, and ruin any continuity with their related merchandise. Smaller stuff may get changed, or things may get more elaborated on. Dialogue will most likely be entirely updated. I'm personally hoping for a bit more involvement of Yuffie and Vincent, and making them mandatory characters now, and not just side characters. -
There have been a couple topics about specific games that were announced, but I thought I'd start an actual E3 topic. So, what did you like? Dislike? Hyped for? Turned off by? Things I am hyped for: Fallout 4 - Many hours will be put into this. MANY. Halo 5 - They've done so much now that I just want it. Good or bad. Dark Souls 3 - I loves me some souls. It DOES kind of feel a little over saturated at this point... But there are some rumored changes that sound like it might change it up a bit. Star Wars Battlefront - Finally. smegging finally. Arkham Knight - Sooo soon... Uncharted 4 - As much as I know how "samey" it will be... I play this series for the story and all the quips. This is one series I find they could probably just keep throwing Drake into new scenarios using the same old gameplay, and it would still be charming and funny as hell. Destiny - More Destiny. I honestly don't have any complaints by this point. I know what it is, and I know what I am getting. And I am fine with it. XCOM 2 - Loved Enemy Unknown and Enemy Within. I have a feeling I will adore this one as well. Deus EX - See note about XCOM 2. Switch in Deus Ex. Gonna love it. Things I am "Meh" about: Xbox one Elite Controller - Looks awesome. Price point is FAR too high for it. Gears of War Anything - I never even finished the last one. When they announce more about 4, it better be impressive. Mass Effect Andromeda - Need more input. Espeically considering it's slated for "Holiday 2016". For Honor - Trailer looked cool... And it says it has a solo campaign... But will see. If it's mostly pvp multiplayer, no go. Assassin's Creed Syndicate - I'm done. Really. Unity made it painfully aware that Ubisoft has lost their way with the series... And I never bothered with Rogue. Final Fantasy 7 Remake - That does it. Squenix is out of ideas. No Mans Sky - I like the concept, but so far we've not seen anything really exciting related to any kind of plot. No plot also equals no buy. As for everything else? I couldn't care less. Either they weren't my type of game, or just not impressive enough to warrant interest from me. Still, lots of good stuff coming. Can't wait.

Most definitely. Alkanphel is in a weakened state at the moment. I'm not sure he could even really take on a Guyver at this point. Even if he tried to fight back, it would probably injure himself even further before he could finish the job.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Trailer.
Matt Bellamy replied to H222G981's topic in Japanese Entertainment
I think considering how much the emphasize "REMAKE" in the trailer, chances are it's going to be a top to bottom remake, at least graphically. I only hope they don't change the gameplay at all. *Edit* Confirmed that it isn't just a graphics upscale. And there WILL be differences. http://kotaku.com/the-final-fantasy-vii-remake-wont-be-exactly-the-same-1711909183 -
Star Wars Battlefront Game!!!!
Matt Bellamy replied to Super Existence's topic in Japanese Entertainment
The jumping around to the different gameplay features in the first trailer made it seem far too hectic to be playable. Thankfully the second trailer showed a more down to earth and actual gameplay approach, and it feels much better. Me bad want now. -
Final Fantasy VII Remake Trailer.
Matt Bellamy replied to H222G981's topic in Japanese Entertainment
More like a teaser than anything. But really, this just shows that Square-Enix is out of ideas when it comes to new Final Fantasy's. Granted, I haven't completed a Final Fantasy since 8, and haven't really liked one since 6... Not including the fun I had with 14. At the very least, it looks like they are not changing the character and upgraded designs that they used for Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus, thus keeping them consistent. -
Crud. Tried to fix the issue, but didn't work. Seems to be a rather annoying bug in the forum software. Some nice content in those LD's though. Noticed quite a few things that did not make it into the Data Files book.

Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles
Matt Bellamy replied to Matt Bellamy's topic in Japanese Entertainment
Well Timm has always demanded a certain amount of control in what he makes for DC. He's gotten away with quite a few things over the years in his DC shows. (by making them much darker than expected, or like finishing a 13 episode season in 12 episodes, so he could do a Batman Beyond Epilogue) When he stepped down, I assumed that he was done dealing with DC altogether... But this one is against the grain in a way so it looks like they gave him a lot of power to make whatever he wanted to do. -
I... Don't get it... If Beerus is in it... has the movie happened? if so, why is Goku still a golden super saiya-jin? I know they have mentioned that the last 2 movies were supposed to be "canon"... Ugh. My brain.
-
Bruce Timm is back! And this time he's doing an alternate Universe movie, changing up the origins, backgrounds, and even who is who. From what info I remember, the big 3 are all different people... Superman is now Zodd's son, and while still seemingly a good guy, he is supposed to be very arrogant and doesn't mind killing if he has to. Batman is not Bruce Wayne... And is an actual vampire. Wonder Woman is not an Amazon, but from Darkseid's army. All 3 of them still seem to be on the side of "Good" but with darker edges. They've released 3 animated shorts, showing off a few of the differences, before the move is released next month. Batman. Superman Wonder Woman I can't wait. Bruce Timm is the master of making DC characters likable.

I think the next few chapters will reveal a lot more... But judging from the few scenes after his and Sho's fight, he definitely seemed conflicted about himself now. As for still using Shizu and the Libertus? Even if he has had a change of heart, he would still use the resources he has available in order to take out at least the rogue Zoalords, as they are still clearly considered the enemy. What depends now, is if he will have a reaction to them getting killed or the like, in the next fight. Maybe we will see a different reaction from him? Hard to say. I mean, before he didn't even care enough to make graves for his followers and friends. Now he has. Sho and Agito may not be "friends" right now, but they certainly are not enemies at this point. But as I said, the real key will be the next few chapters, as we haven't seen Agito at all since he and Shizu stood over the graves by his base.

They did have refunds before actually. But it was a much harder process to go through, and sometimes just wasn't worth the time and effort into convincing them. Their new system, while pretty basic, should work for MOST normal games. It does hurt people who release games that are less than 2 hours long, and the most importantly, shovelware and piss poor "game" releases. The way Steam was going before this, was allowing people to put up utter garbage on Steam, and have people actually pay for unfinished and almost unplayable "games". It was getting notorious on the internet, and Valve had to do something. And really, it is something they should have done ages ago.
-
Played it when it first came out on PC. Beat it. Never played it again due to lackluster story with no real reason to play through again other than "More loot". It wasn't a "bad" game by any means, but the story really pulled me out of it. I know there have been updates and an expansion or two... But I can't be all that fussed to spend more money on it.

Agito getting even or just taking a real zoacrystal for Shizu?
Matt Bellamy replied to H222G981's topic in Guyver
It's hard to say at this point... We don't know how much Agito has changed as a person. But this arc will surely show us. I honestly think he's there to take them out. He's got a greater number of Libertus with him, and no relic under the base to try and retrieve. And since they know these guys are behind the attack, it could very well be motivated by revenge to some degree. -
Yeah, Hot Toys are pretty amazing at what they do. And they have only gotten better with time... Though they have also gotten more expensive too... I have 13 Marvel hot Toys figures (mostly Iron Man related)... And at $200+ a figure... You can see it adds up...

Black Widow and Hawkeye: Worst Avengers?
Matt Bellamy replied to H222G981's topic in General 'whatever'.
Natasha has never gotten the "Super Soldier" serum. She was biologically enhanced by the KGB in the comics, but not with the Super Soldier serum. Probably just a cocktail of different drugs. They never specified if this happened in the movies at all, but her recent past being close to what it is in the comics, probably holds true. But definitely not the Super Soldier serum.
