Screw the glare. This is a classic Trek scene. They are playing out a moral dilemma right there! They're trying to save a planet by putting out a volcano, but one of them might sacrifice his own life. They might be able to rescue him if they risk causing war (or whatever primitives seeing the ship will do). Doing this is against the rules also. So should they save the life of one whom was in the midst of saving countless primitive lives even if it means risking those lives in another way? Isn't this dramatic dilemma more important than a little lens flare? I'm with you Guyverfan, I'm all in. Can't wait

This is so weird, considering they bought out Lucas in order to acquire Starwars. Why shut it down when it makes money? Or is it not being profitable enough? Or are they trying to take it in a different direction? Just weird. Maybe this will make more sense when we see the next move. But just too weird.

Well, season 3 is here, and the first 3 episodes have been aired. And, we have new permanent cast members added to the list, including the return of Shockwave, The pacing is pretty good, and is a great start to the season. This may be the last season, which is sad considering the potential I see for it, but I at least like how it is building so far. And the toys are already on shelves, so it looks like Optimus may survive, and be reformatted into a flat front semi. We'll see.

In the space time matrix, it is the mass of the object that is causing the gravitational force, meaning the gravitational force is calculatable and measurable in association with the mass. We have observed this and predict it readily. If it is not the mass, then what is causing the twisting upon the rubber in your hyposthesis? And according to string theory, all particles are strings (on the truly most elementary level), and their mass is actually a vibrational frequency of the string. A graviton has a vibration frequency of zero. The point is that all regular particles, in order to have the regular properties they do, are required to vibrate into a total of 11 dimensions. It's the way the math worked out. If ALL regular particles require this, then why so surprising for gravity? A problem I find with your hypothesis is that, if the end points of the rubber are fixed, and you are continuosly stretching/tightening it in order to provide a gravitational effect, how tight could your fork tighten it before it finally snaps? Any material has tensile limits... a limit of energy. To suggest that the rubber could continuously be tightened eternally for a gravity effect would suggest an infinity in the equation. I am curious as to how you respond to this

What you have just described is called the space-time matrix. It is a visualization of 3d space in a 2d model (sort of). If space were a 2d rubber sheet, and objects were put on it, little dimples would appear on the rubber sheet. The more massive the object, the bigger the dimple. These distortions in space represent the gravitational fields. We calculate the dimples by calculating the gravitational force for every object within it. So when you say that it is the space that is moving (when refering to the space-time matrix) you are basically describing the model the currently exists, but it is the flow and intensity of gravitions and gravitinos. And yes, accelleration and gravity share much of the same math. And if you want to prove whether or not the Earth is expanding into the people that rest upon it, look up the falling speeds from various times of day. The speed would change based on your relation to the Earth's path around Sol. And since it's been a few hundred years since Newton first released his equations for gravity, scientists have been conduction thousands if not millions of experiments and observations. Chances are, those falling speeds are listed somewhere if you want to put some research into your idea. In other words there is a way to test your idea that you yourself can do. Just remember to take into account the speed of the Earth around Sol. And as someone that has completed a visual arts program, you should be able to drop your images directly into the timeline of your video editor in order to make a much better presentation. Yes, I believe in the possibility of a god, and the possibility that there is no god. I definitely do not think that an omnipotent omnicient god is choosing prophets to spread a message to all of mankind. So I agree with Ryuki in the difference between possibility and belief. And I think evil can be just as spiritual as good. A Satanist can still believe in Jesus or Yaweh, he's just rooting for the other team. (though I've heard that some satanists aren't really like that, but are rather protesting the absurdity of fundamentalists, or something such-it takes all kinds). Hitler's troops had 'we march for god' inscribed on their belt buckles. Evil can believe it is good aby convincing themselves that their victoms are the evil ones, and ignore the fact that they are causing pain and death unessessary for anyone's survival.

There is also VMAT2 for consideration. It is a gene that pumps a few chemicals around the brain. My hypothesis is that we transfer what we used to think of parents unto a fictional entity with power that we ourselves would like. We create so many gods. Now how that would relate to VMAT2's regulation of serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine? If VMAT2 actually has 'anything' to do with belief in god?

What about the unions for the production crew? The UK can charge pretty hefty for overtime.

I also believe that twitter is no place for a debate, as we make post after post with little snippets, very difficult to say anything meaningful. I was trying to not turn this into an insult to you, so I didn't mention the twitter conversation. But oh well. For the castle in the second book, PJ was riding around in a helicopter to find a background that matched, then they had to build the castle atop it. That seems to be dedication to bring Tolkiens writings to life. I think that's honering Tolkien enough. Money is also an issue. To get THAT many shots and effects in can be challenging. PJ might not have mentioned that the UK would be more expensive out of politeness, but when New Zealand asked for more money to film the Hobbit and wouldn't relent, he threatened to take the production to Australia (until they caved). I believe money is the bigger issue here, which is the case for many movies. So I don't think it's an insult at all.

One of the first questions you are asked in Scientology is 'What laws have you broken?". This is done in many religions. There is a purpose. It makes you feel guilty, and you automatically give power and authority to the people asking the question (it makes you easier to convert). It's a psychological trick. You want a new religion? Meditate and reflect on your life. One what you have done today, and how you relate to others... reflect on everything in your meditations. You don't need a god, or a creation story, or any mumbo jumbo. You don't need a leader, or for it to even be a religion.

A religion can be for many purposes. Most people though do follow it just because they are sheep and it is what they are dictated to do. The purpose comes for those that are not sheep, but that is for more than just religion. Zoaraster took the religion he already had, and instead of the rich chiefs being the ones to live in heaven with the gods on account of their generosity with their people, he changed it to say that good/peaceful people would be living with the gods. This was because chariots were introduced into his region, which spawned violent raids upon raids, and he wanted to bring the era of peace back. Pathagorus saw no point in worshipping the gods anymore, as the universe seemed to exist despite the actions of men worshipping them. He somehow believed enlightment could be found by studying pure mathematics, by understanding the universe. (Thule, from the same time period, studied the Universe for the sake of the knowledge itself, and began the journey of science). Confuscious saw people abandoning the old religioun where rites were performed by the emporer in order to maintain the cosmos. People were abandoning self sacrifice/hyper propriety for strategy and self gain. It was becoming a blood bath. He taught the old ways and to live for someone else (manners of family) in order to bring peace. He reinterpreted the old ways to find the wisdom they held. The development of the Brahmins/yogas (they have too many titles) started with a fear of death, and performed rights to try and attain imortality. The rites developed over time to force the practitioner to look inward and explore the self as a part of the universe. The Isrealites started as a polytheistic society that in all likelihood rebelled from Cannan on grounds of corruption and crossed the Jordan into the wilderness, using metaphor to say they crossed the sea or reeds, and blamed Egypt as Egypt was the major trading partner/power of the time. They were an insignificant kingdom that survived by making alliances. They got a little arrogant at one point and thought they could beat Babylon, and ended up losing everything. The priesthood of Yaweh wanted him to stand above all others and to be worshipped along, they got their wish. The exiles rewrote a few things to help bring the exiles together as a people. It's a bible filled with rewrites and borrows from other religions (this is a VERY narrow summary)

More on the news: One of the guys that escaped was from the infamous Hell's Angels Biker gang. He said he couldn't stand living if in prison. So two people rented a helicopter for a tour, and once in the air pulled a gun to the pilot's head and directed him to the prison. When he tried to radio for help, his headset was ripped from him. The two then lowered a rope ladder over the jail, where their target was waiting for a friend. The helicopter flew them out to a waiting car in the woods (police took the pilot to hospital, with no serious injuries though in shock), and tailed the gang member to a house in the middle of nowhere for a short stand off before arresting even more people than they had in the first place. How well do you think the court case is going to go?

I think the bullet is First Class was a far more emotional way of paraliyzing Charles than simply having him crushed by rocks. Much better story telling in my opinion. It related the characters together in such an integral way. It would be great if they just did a remake of X3. The first two were fine, don't touch them, First class was fine. Just redo 3. Will the studio have the guts to do it? Doubt it. Oh well. It'd be great though, to have a propper Pheonix saga

Most of what you are complaining about comes from the anime. Different continuities do things a bit differently. Sho was not a warrior, he was always hoping for a normal life. Though now, he is an actual warrior, and will kill as needed. He does not hold back from regular zoanoids anymore, he developed as a human being. And Tetsuo has also taken on the role of science advisor, providing intel to Sho so that he'll be better capable of forming strategies to take out different zoanoid types. Oh, and your pic 'who the hell are you', that's Shizu. Remember Agito's love interest? He aquired his own scientist and processed his own zoanoids that HE could control, and turned his girl friend into a quazi zoalord. I think you would like Agito a little more than the story's protagonist. He seems to think more along your lines.

That statement has no implications regarding this. It doesn't sway things one way or another. It's just another reason for you to like Guyver, along with the biology and science love of it. We all love guyver. But the financial matter is the financial matter. Personally, there will come a day when technology brings to complete collapse of the economy. After that, people will be working on the projects that they love for the sake of the projects, and we can all enjoy the fruits of them for free. Until that day, Takaya needs to make rent. I had an idea at work today, why don't we enter a buisiness relationship with Takaya himself, where we built a website that has internet subscriptions. Anyone with a yearly(?) subscription can view the manga online, much like itunes, from anywhere around the world. There could be a Japanese section, and of course an English. Other languages could follow, after a translation. Russion would be nice. This all depends on our ability to contact Takaya personally and form that buisiness relationship. That way we could get around the whole shipping costs issue.
