I'm sorry for being such a Thunderfoot fan, but he's just so damn interesting! As an audience, he knows how to captivate me. He gives me my intellectual fix. I'm like an addict that needs a drug. And as a geek, I feel the need to share:
  2. I think the article DOES make a few good points. I mean, taking their helmets off would contaminate the alien environment. Even NASA is worried about that when they send probes into space. If there are techno fixes to these problems in this scifi, then the movie should hint at them. Otherwise all bad movies must be argued with the same point. In bay's version of transformers, the comics were needed to even remotely make sense. In other words, someone else had to come along and fill in the holes. From what I know about Ridley Scott on 'Legend', the man is creative. He will come up with a million ideas a minute. But he needs other people to help edit them down. Is there a failure of that system here? Personally I want to see the movie before making my own judgement. But I see so many people complaining about the same thing, and only one defending it. Oh well
  3. I'm a bit disappointed. We just got to Cybertron again, and again we are so fast back on Earth. I love some of the things they accomplished in the episode, such as the new base, and a little destruction. But they disabled Optimus in the last season finale. Can't it be someone else this time? And after such a build up to the omega keys, they get destroyed almost immediately after turning them on. I think this episode would have been better as a multiparter. It feels too rushed for me
  4. Used to watch the anime every night after work. So incredibly formulaic. An entire season can be explained in a single paragraph. And every season has the same basic structure. Maybe this is because Akira wanted to END the series after Freiza, but the execs demanded that he kept going. I could handle the Freiza saga, even though it drags. But after that, there was no real point in going on. That message you pointed out was a good one, but they made it. How much more powerful do you want Goku to become?
  5. I don't see the point. Dragon ball z just gets juvenile and starts upping power levels instead of telling actual story. Opponent comes along, beats them, train hard, struggle, eventually win. So Goku and Vegeta will always win because is crappily written. Sho and Agito win some battle, then lose some battle. Chronos actually succeeded in taking over the world, Sho beat his father which was a loss, they have managed to keep the units out of Chronos hands, destroy the occasional base. For me, there is no point in comparing, because dragon ball would have no real science to back up the win. It's just an 'ego' stroke.
  6. I've dreamt of the missing episode. Valcuria and the Chronos crew were working in an old wooden attic, with cockpit like computer terminals built into the floor. I was a participant until I realized it was an episode. I was so excited until I realized that it was never made. I loved the feel of the wooden floor boards and the terminals. Valcuria was cool. Another dream had zoanoid eggs. Basically the eggs from Critters, but with zoanoids inside. We needed to hatch them
  7. I hated the olive green hue on the Ang Lee Hulk. And the gamma ray visual effect. Of course the comic book panels. And how rubbery the dogs looked. And the scientist in bandages trying to iject Hulk with somethig while he was all foamed up. oh well. Oh, and here: I love how these guys make fu of movies
  8. 45 minutes, and, quirky in its innocent way
  9. And so we lay Dread Wind to rest. He was a fine soldier. He killed Seaspray. Let us remember his many great deeds and failures next up, the finale of season 2
  10. Hi Guys, I've got a show coming out December 1st! I got to be a model maker and 2nd unit Director for James Taylor (he did the Beast Machines episode where Cheator takes over from Optimus, as well as Spiderman and Ninja Turtles). The Red Hat Man is being released as an internet movie, so please, by all means spread it around. It's meant for kids and families, ages 4-12. It's a western musical Christmas special. Around November 15th the behind the scenes video is supposed to go up. This should all be going to: www.theredhatman.ca You can click the link and watch the trailer for it Thanks, and enjoy
  11. Iron man, Cyborg. Both characters that use tech, and then get merged with it to god like levels. I hate the dragon ball-power up stuff. It's like masturbation. Why not tell stories that involve the development of character, as opposed to character powers? Or would that be too lame for the audience?
  12. Putting the flag on war Machine? seriously? Ok. A little crazy. I havn't seen Avengers, so I don't know why Tony is going telekinetic. Oh well. I hope he doesn't start hiding the armor under his skin. Venom is Venom, IM is IM. I like the idea that he has to suit up. Oh well, the trailer was cool, and makes me want to see it. Maybe the idea that I don't like is done in an incredible way
  13. Vaders new sword:
  14. I'm not sure about that. The Autobots did kill his brother. The only problem he has with the Decepticons is that Starscream took his brothers corpse and turned it into a Zombie. The only problem I could see him having is wanting Starscream's head on a platter. Would he betray Megatron for forgiving Starscream? Betray the rest of the Decepticon cause? They are about the restore their home world. Don't get me wrong, I can see him being on the edge of it story wise, they've been suggesting it. But the actual motivation seems a bit week to me. Yeah, this is one of the better recap episodes. Much better than Agent Fowler and the General (though they managed to get the Unicorn in there)
  15. Thunderfoot's got a new video. the next in this series:
  16. Just heard two conflicting rumors. One, that season 3 is on 16 eps and will be the last. Two, that there will be a season 4. Also heard that season 3 is going to be 'Beast Hunters'? Weird, but ok. At least everything looks like they are going back to Cybertron for a bit.
  17. 1-Your self contained system must NEVER radiate ANYTHING away. No heat or light whatsoever. Otherwise it would lose energy. 2-It must never move. Moving would require energy to be expended, thus it would eventually run out if it tried to move. No system is truly self contained. No man is an island. If you are radiating heat, and you try to make up your loss by absorbing stellar radiation, then you are Solar powered. Etcetera etcetera
  18. At what point did it become clean? I think I'm missing that part, sorry. I know in the 05 anime, it was a bloody death, but when Sho, Tetsuo and Mitsuki were looking at the corpse, the camera never tilted down. We only had the mess described to us.
  19. And stars also have an expiration date. They die. Unless you come up with a renewable energy system, human civilization would crumble as the infrastructure falls away. They say that eventually the universe itself with fade away. Or at least cool off and die in the 'freeze'. Ultimately death is inevitable, unless you interact with another
  20. 'Generate' energy? From within our own bodies? From a device that never needs fuel? A slight violation of the laws of thermodynamics. Energy can never be created, nor can it be destroyed. Only transformed/transferred from one medium to another. Though I agree in principle with you that we must come up with some better technologies. And the creationist is basically saying that the odds are so stacked against a protein EVER forming. I've seen that argument used to discount -anything- forming without the hand of god. In the beginning of the video, he pointed out that just because the odds are incredibly high, doesn't mean it doesn't happen. That's what the card example really shows, and why it's used. People love to spout off high odds without really understanding in what context the numbers must be taken. High numbers are used so often to say that 'something' never happens
  21. I see a few of the Iacon relics being things from other transformer series. The Star Saber was in Head Masters, Apex Armor in Master force, Omega Key from the WFC Game. Not sure about the phase shifter and Hammer of Solarice Prime. strangely enough, my favorite episode of season 2 is a Miko episode. She wasn't annoying, it was emotionally charged.

Dude! Just saw this! Love it! Is that pvc? Resin? It kinda looks like polystyrene, but not sure. I love how you've got the tendrils. It'll look great when you add the rest of them in. I can't wait to see this bad boy finished. You've just entered a new level of cool. I await more pic. Please find some great environments to take pics in
