1. If you look into the other Zeorymer Designs, the Penelope stands out even more than Xi!
2. The Guyver Gigantic being yellow was either an assistant, or someone from the production side of things. I do remember that it was an accident though.
3. Oh, wouldn't it be grand for Guyot to finally get what he deserves? I doubt it will actually happen at this point, but one can hope, yes? I am however hoping one thing happens here: Apollon's official reveal. It would be nice to finally clear that up... The Silha stuff made it a more more obvious... But an awesome 3-way fight would be a hell of a way to officially do it. Have his helmet be blown away, damaged or destroyed.
4. Some of us, as Ryuki mentioned, are still alive. Though other things have indeed taken a hold of our lives. Basically? It originally took place after book 15, in which Sho tracks down Sean Barker from the Live action movies ( mainly Dark Hero of course. David Hayter ftw!). In our universe, the US government is actively trying to fight back against Chronos, and Sean is helping where he can. Chronos and the US government team up with the Japan Guyvers try and take over a newly discovered relic, which housed a new type of unit: The Warrior Unit. More powerful and focused for combat ( much like it is noted in the series, it is believed the original Unit-G just adapts to the host. Humans being living weapons made them even better killing machines). And from there we spawned many new types of units, characters etc... As well as secondary and more writers like myself and the GuyverC storyline. Some of them directly tie in together, while others are a bit more removed. There is quite a lot, so I'll probably just stop there. I personally would like to continue, but I cannot find the time, nor inspiration to write... Especially since we all want to go back and re-write our early stuff. I think I had turned the first 5 pages of the "Old script style" into something like 15-20 or so pages of actual story that I was proud of... I am pretty sure that sadly got lost in an HD crash ages ago.
5. YES. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! Ahem. Yes indeed.
6. If Apollon is Imakarurm, where do you think the materials came from that made his suit? Barcus said the metal was of the same properties as the guyvers control metal? The temple at Silha? No one really knows what could be stored there. It could very well be battle armor made by the Creators for their "Commander" creatures (ie Alkanphel), or perhaps even themselves when they didn't need to use the Bio-Booster armor. Tis all speculation of course.
7. I am guessing the hand is like a tribute to the first one where the company had the chance to salvage his arm but then they decided to go all metal, it looks stupid but having his human arm can provide some advantages that a metal arm can't like feeling texture and having prints etc.. got to think tactical with stuff like that. as for the gun, I don't know, I like it....here is a closer look at his gun taken from the Omnicorp website as well as the robots they have made including ED - 209 Actually, his hand has nothing to do with being "Tactical". It's the "Humanizing" that Omnicorp wanted. All their other robots are lifeless and mean looking. The whole point of having his face and hand the way they are, is so he can be the face of their company/new line of products. He can shake hands with people and show he's "still human". He's meant to show the people the "Good" side of murderbots. I kinda wish they would still put a glove over the hand during action sequences though. It just doesn't look right.
8. Youtube's biggest problem is that they do not review the content people post. They leave it up to users to report illegal content. Some companies deny it, but others outright say they do... But they have people that search Youtube for all their properties, and report them immediately. As well as fans who will report any and/or everything. Remember Youtube is not for posting any video you want. Originally it was formed to post videos YOU created. Posting intros/scenes from series and the like is not Youtube's intention. And really no one has a right to complain when their videos of someone else's property get removed if that is all they are doing. Does it still get used for those purposes? Oh you bet. And if the video is found by anyone who cares that it was put up, it can be reported. I remember MANY years ago a huge outcry due to the increase in Anime Music Videos, that their videos were being removed due to copyright infringements. But before asking on a forum, you should read Youtube's information this kind of stuff. Would answer most of your questions. For example: See the bolded text for the most common reason. So what can you do? Well, nothing really, unless you get permission from the company to post the videos. Of course, Copyright holders or reps are people. And sometimes they may look at a video and decide that they won't have it removed for whatever reason. Then a week, month or years later, see the same thing, and have it removed, UNLESS you have written documentation stating they allowed it. They are people, and they do different things depending on their environment. Want to complain or actually do something about illegally posted stuff on Youtube? Be proactive and start reporting stuff. Unfortunately, for a lot of specific content, the few people watching the videos will not report it, because it is what they want. And thus is why Youtube is jam packed full of content that should be removed. Is anyone going to try and get it all removed? Probably not. Basically, you got unlucky that someone found your videos and reported them. As to why your other videos were not removed? Could be any number of reasons... but technically, if they are videos of a show that you do not own, you should remove them yourself, or don't be surprised if someone does find them and reports them. And remember: READ YOUTUBE'S RULES. Just because other people do it, and seemingly get away with it, does not mean you can. Ignorance is not an excuse. Much like every place where you sign up for an account, there is some little box that you click saying " Yes, I understand ALL the rules that this account allows me." And upon clicking said box, you are agreeing to following EVERY rule tied to the account. ----- Sorry if that all sounds so harsh, but it is the truth. And something you should be aware of since you have a valid Youtube account ( though 99.9999999% of the people never read the rules to any website they sign up to.)
9. I must say, I am liking what I see. Particularly the fact that it isn't a complete rehash of the first movie, and seems to have it's own premise about the Alex Murphy/Robocop persona. In the first movie, they made him more "Robo" than human, which he had to overcome. In this one, they still seem to make him very human, but influenced by the machine. In which they kind of already spoiled that he has to overcome. I do like the Silver armor more of course, and am hoping we get to see a lot of it... Since the trailer seems to show it quite a bit. This is shaping up to be an actual REBOOT, rather than a REMAKE. And I like that. As it stands, only one character in the movie keeps their name from the previous films... And that is Alex Murphy. And yeah, I know they are going to make it a PG-13 movie... But you can still have a great action movie in the PG-13 rating. Just because you don't get to see Murphy blown apart by a gang, does not mean it isn't "Robocop". Because this isn't THAT Robocop. And so far, I likes what I sees.
10. I own the three games... And am a bit saddened, but a little happy at what it has become. The first game was clearly meant to be a survival horror game. It was pretty good overall, and had a pretty decent plot, despite Isaac being a silent protagonist for the game. The second game still wanted to be a survival horror game, but started showing off some action. Isaac this time has a voice, and the story just gets more interesting while adding some more characters and depth to the plot. The third game is clearly an action game. A few small jump scares, but by this time it has taken on a more "Gears of War or Mass Effect" cover and combat style. And really, it was pretty good. It was kind of dumbed down in some aspects of the items/ammo, but was still felt like a continuation of Dead Space 2 while unfortunately moving away from its roots of Dead Space. Co-Op was another new feature, but one I didn't personally use. See, why I am saddened is that it seems to be going the "Resident Evil" route and becoming an action game with "Zombie/Monsters" as enemies, where their original forms were that of Survival Horror. So while I tended to prefer the more combat oriented #3, I still enjoy a good survival horror game. i am hoping they make a Dead Space 4... Simply due to the atmosphere of the game, and the technology. Oh and the Plasma Cutter is the best weapon in all 3 games. Upgrade that little bugger and you should have no problems.
11. I think the thing that pissed me off the most, was the hype videos that Gearbox put out of their lead staff saying " Oh, we're huge aliens fans, and we wanted to make a great aliens game." Blah blah blah. Except they didn't WANT to actually make it, because they have Borderlands now. There was a great article posted on kotaku.com about the creation of the game from some sources... And it just screams failure. http://kotaku.com/5986694/from-dream-to-disaster-the-story-of-aliens-colonial-marines
12. Hey! My pants aren't that fancy! ... Ok, MAYBE the gold trim was a bit much. (j/k) Anywho, I just ( as in last night) upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S4. Some minor annoyences about some apps not being treated the same way as on my previous Galaxy Captivate... but sooo fast...
13. ...And nothing. A whole bunch of new Figma announcements, but not one shot of the Guyver 1 figma. Though, from what I saw, there wasn't much of anything of the bigger announcements from the last Wonder Festival ( like the Avengers series of figures). This weekend might've just been more about "HEY! NEW! LOOK!" Rather than upcoming releases. We can only hope.
14. I would agree... With Takaya's work ethic, and how much work he does by himself... The more he goes in depth, the longer we wait for any kind of progression. If this was a weekly series, the last two chapters would totally make sense, and would be very welcomed. But in a monthly series, that only gets 14-16 pages a month? ( most monthly series tend to go around 24-30 pages if I recall) It's really becoming more and more frustrating to be a fan of the series. I almost feel like I need to take another year or two break from the series ( which I won't of course) to come back with a fresh mind, and a bunch of new chapters to excite me all at once again. Then again, give me a week and I'll probably care more. Initial reactions are never the best reactions to judge some things by...
15. If you know anything about the comics, and have seen the ending teaser at the end of "The Wolverine", you can guess what is coming...
16. Nothing that I have heard of... Which is kind of bugging me, since there have been figma reveils since then, that have already gotten release dates. Granted, it wouldn't be the first time that a proto-type figma was shown, but never produced ( Master Asia...)... but they made such a big deal about it at the press conference, that it seems odd that they wouldn't release at least Guyver 1, even as a low run exclusive. Though it could be that the feedback for it was too little, and that its been cancelled... And that would suck.
17. A while back, I bought a "rare" ( not sure HOW rare) Guyver Out of Control art book off of Ebay. However, turned out this books pages are even bigger than the Datafile book, so using my normal scanner would not work. I finally got fed up with not being able to find a decent sized scanner, and used my digital camera to at last share the thing. Eventually I'll probably just run it to a copy shop and have them scan it properly. You will note some issues because of the flash, and the fact I don't want to flatten the book down too much. As well, you will also notice the blue pattern of my quilt around a lot of the pages. It was easiest to take the pictures with me standing over my bed. I put it in a .zip file for ease of collecting. Hopefully everyone will be able to access it. ...But it seem our forum does not want to let me upload it. So go to the link below if you'd like to download it. http://www.japan-legend.com/forum/index ... l-artbook/

19. Wheee! That was fun. Not too deep of an overall plot, but still very fun, and kick ass battle scenes. If I had anything to really complain about the movie, was that it seemed like some of the background and scientific stuff would have been better explained, it would have definately only helped the movie. Maybe another 30 minutes of exposition that wasn't just a monologue at the beginning. That being said, I never really felt "Lost" with what was going on, or felt like I wasn't sure what was happening. It's a very straightforward film. Which CAN be a negative comment... But considering some of the Mecha Anime Movies I`ve seen over the years, this was an asset, rather than a fault. It didn`t try to be Evangelion, and play with Religious themes. It didn`t try to be Gundam and go heavy on politics. It didn`t try to force unneeded comedy on people like Transformers. And it didn`t do anything "mind blowing", or do anything that would be considered `trippy`. It was a simple Giant Robot vs Giant Monster movie, with a small bit of personal tradegedy for a couple of the main characters. And you know what? That worked for me. Slowly working on a sketch of Gipsy Danger... No idea when it will ever get finished! ...Maybe I gotta go watch the movie a couple more times for inspiration... Yeah... I should do that...
20. Hardly. Condiering a very low number of people know about this site, and the fact that has been over 5 years, and with known posting habits... I'd say it may be closer to 500 - 1000 unique hits AT BEST. You have to imagine that when someone makes a post, a number of people watching the thread will go to it to find out what was posted. Then if someone replies to that post, again, more people show up to read the new post. Some people will visit the thread multiple times daily/weekly to see if someone replied to their specific post. Currently, even if a quarter of the current members have a single view for every post in the thread, that still adds up to around 7500 views. And if we're talking over 5 years, and after a large purge of members... Well I hope you see the point. After that many posts, and that many years, views don't mean anything unless the tracking system only logs one view per account. Which it doesn't. And of course there is also the fact that just because someone views the thread, it doesn't mean the LIKE it, or WANT it. If it had 10,000 unique positive POSTS, then yes maybe. Not to mention, as it is, the American anime and manga industry is only a mere shadow of itself, only leaving room for popular genre's and digital distribution. And unfortunately, a slow, aging Sci-Fi horror comic isn't one of the major popular genre's these days. 5 years ago, it was a much better time for this kind of thing. Nowadays I think Takaya is extremely lucky that he's still able to make his series ( though even he seems to be changing his style by throwing in random chibi characters in a shot or two)
21. I am jealous... Sadly I missed out during their initial run. I had the first Guyver 3 ordered... And then my local store got shut down due to bootlegging. Sadly at the time I was not ordering online like I do now. I've tried saving up to order more, as I only got the Guyver 1 1.5 image head figure due to another store randomly having it... But as I start to add up the costs, it just becomes so outrageous that I stop and buy a lot more other things. Here's hoping we get more figmas than just the Guyver 1 that was shown.
22. I'm not a big fan of "regualr" chips, but I tend to like the baked variety, though occasionally I will buy some Ruffles All Dressed or Sour Cream and Onion ( but they have issues with little flavor coating). More specifically, my favorite is Old Dutch Baked Ketchup chips. I used to eat a lot of the baked salt and viniger chips too... But after a while they caused too many problems with my teeth. I also tend to go for Doritos cool ranch, or Arriba (Old Dutch) Zesty Taco chips. Depending what I am doing, I can eat an entire large bag of chips in one sitting. Like playing video games or watching a movie, but that would happen over a couple hours. If I am having lunch or working, I tend to eat maybe half a large bag, or a regular sized bag. But it is hard to stop me when there is nacho cheese dip, or "Salsa Con Queso". I can't stop eating that stuff.
23. So who else is hyped for Pacific Rim this weekend? http://youtu.be/Ef6vQBGqLW8 Despite the early negative guessing by statisticians, early reviews seem to be pretty positive. I can't wait until Friday!
24. Since about 2002 I've had 4 cell phones... But have always kept my same phone number. 1. Some Motorola Flip phone - It was smaller, black and had an awesome orange lighted call display when it was closed. But when it's battery started to go I got a... 2. Motorala Razer V3. Loved the thing. Had it for a few years, until I shattered the glass display. While I COULD have gotten it fixed, due to our family plan I got got my next phone for free ( except with the 3 year extension contract of course) 3. iPhone 3G. Bought the weekend before the 3GS was annouced. Go me. Either way, I started to really love it, and it pretty much convinced my family to get one as well. But as I said, I got it late in its life, so it really started showing it's age 3 years later. But instead of upping simply to the iPhone 4, I decided to go to... 4. Samsung Galaxy S Captivate. My current phone. I like the Android OS more than the iOS. However, the phone is showing its age now too ( been about 2/2.5 years) and the exernal speaker doesn't always want to function. So I am now planning on updating again... And despite everything Samsung does being a total rip off of Apple ( literally, their upload program "Kies" is a very poor iTunes ripoff. But not required to put things on your phone thankfully), I'll probably go with the new Galaxy S4 ( I think that is the newest). Even if it means that I don't get to use one of those badass Iron Man phone cases that are exclusive to the iPhone 5.
