I've always wondered how these end up in the wild - do people that worked on the series sell them on because they were allowed to keep them/they photocopied extras? Anyway, looking forward to seeing your scans lost unit! And for you to get some stuff on theguyver.net Sully!

Hopefully not a big recap chapter... Though he's been gracious enough to spare us from one of those for quite some years. (Although to be honest it's been so long I would probably need one)

Heh, the sonic buster is on the wrong side of his face because you posted the Viz version! They mirrored the images so it would read left to right The chin spike is definitely different though

Prime 1 collectibles wants to do statues based on Guyver anime

Regardless, I'd really love to get a look at that Guyver 0 render. Looks insanely cool. Great to see a solid reference to the manga's plot in these products. -
New UK Release of the first Guyver Movie Blu Ray
Bio-Boosted Dude replied to Sully's topic in Guyver
Have to agree with Unit G on the cover art. I suppose if I can't enjoy the quality of the art, I at least like what it represents - that they were willing to commission an artist to do some brand new artwork for the film. -
New UK Release of the first Guyver Movie Blu Ray

Like the sound of that little booklet. I'm surprised they've gone through this much effort for this film though. You'd think they'd just skip straight to Dark Hero. I can only hope that when they eventually release that on blu ray they give it similar treatment. -
Great job man! It really is slick. And congrats on getting featured on the Guyver blu ray! How was it shown? What sort of extras does it have?

Blimey, that thread of Jess' talking about a 'new guyver form' is surreal to read. I wasn't part of the GB when it first started out (I think I joined around 2007) but to think it was all 12 years ago.

Welcome aboard sonny! We haven't had a new mod in ages. Power in numbers though

Man, Malmot looks creepy! In a good way though, I like it a lot. Also great pain job on the Unit case, the chrome effect works well.

I don't think they would do something as risky as restricting access to the new chapter to just the people who are willing to drop a load of money on figmas. That doesn't mean they might not ever release a figure with a tankobon again though, as they did with book 21.

I'm frustrated with Takaya's output as well but I think calling him lazy is a bit far. He put out an ad requesting an assistant a while ago ( a position that seems unlikely to have been filled), and that suggests to me that he is aware of his small output and wants to remedy it. Guyver is a complex manga to draw - I'm sure Takaya regrets designing such difficult to draw characters, and the fact that he's around 50 now must mean that he is getting pretty tired. This series is hard to maintain an itnerest in when we're drip fed the story, but I'm trying to appreciate how difficult it must be to produce. That said, I do have the utmost confidence that Takaya knows where it's going - Draglord's silhouette was seen in volume 11, a whopping 10~ years before it made it's actual appearance. There's no way he's winging it to the end.

Cool stuff JEZ0! Just wondering what those chinese books are before the doujins? Are they Chinese novelizations? Same with the big books after the large collected volumes? (These ones: http://i68.tinypic.com/2j2vpj5.jpg )

I remember that level of character development being advertised quite a lot as the series was airing as a selling point, along with the closeness to the manga of course. I didn't realise that the scene with Mizuki wasn't in the manga. Do you mean the bit where Murakami is lying in the hospital bed with Odagiri in the room?
-
That's interesting, is the left image from Hades Project Zeorymer? And I did always want to know the story behind the sword, though I assume it was just Takaya having a bit of fun
-
Haha, what on earth is that game?! Did you really find that in a shop?

Looks like a general thing with Exceed transformations is that yellow turns into orange/red! Pretty neat.

Hey Proto, just wanted to say it's good to see you again after so long. Good luck with the sale.

9 years of Japan-Legend coming up! Where do the years go. I shudder thinking that I joined theguyver.net over 10 years ago now. Good luck with all the admin stuff Sully. I didn't realize you hosted older Guyver sites too. Guyver 2's Playground really takes me back

Who Was Your Favorite Hyper-Zoanoid and Why?
Bio-Boosted Dude replied to Mirabilis's topic in Guyver
I thought I was the only one who loved Thancrus! Such a criminally underused character and design. Was gutted when he was the first to die in all media of the Guyver. I'll take pity and give the Branchai Bros an honorable mention since their individual forms look pretty awesome, especially the head part -
Wanted: Chuang Yi Publishing Guyver Manga

I thought they did up to volume 10? it's scary how hard it is to find some concrete information about it though. I'm sure there was info about how much they released in the JL wiki but that's down for now. -
I'm wondering how Agito got inside the Zoalord body. Gigantic XD has never shown any teleportation abilities have they? Certainly not into another mass no less
-
I think there's more to him than just being a battery. Each Zoalord was made individually and at separate times, so I doubt when it was time to make Krumegnik a Zoalord, Alkanphel just told him he was gonna be a battery to power some other guy he had already processed
-
Heh, it looks like the Japanese fans aren't too impressed with Krumegnik's form. I probably wont be able to take it seriously now after seeing those
