Forearm Blades are Awesome
Bio-Boosted Dude replied to Shin Mefilas's topic in Japanese Entertainment
Love me some forearm blades! -
Yes, I remember now! It was latching onto a bird. You're right. Looks like the artificial CM deserves more credit than I give it! I would imagine that they don't dissolve simply so that Cronos can preserve/pay respects to the body. Murakami must've been lying there for quite some time before Alky picked him up
-
But are Zoalords processed in such a way that their bodies can regenerate from just a cell sample like the guyver? I would find it incredibly surprising as that's Advent technology for sure; which even Cronos doesn't have access to. They have the artificial CM now, but I would be surprised if that was capable of regenerating the host's body without the control medal, as it has already been shown to have its limitatons.

There would be opportunity for 2 Murakami clones then! Don't know how I would feel about him being represented by three characters at once though.
-
I feel as though the fact that Sho/Aptom noted "That attack..." makes the fact that he is using such a similar attack to what Murakami/Imakarum used significant. This is probably Takaya preparing to drop the twist on who Apollon is. I'm still hoping for a new character, but this one point makes it seem unlikely at this point.

Hey there! Max Factory have been teasing Alkanphel and Gigantic XD prototypes for a couple of years now, but have rarely said any thing on them, so we've been waiting for a while on those. That's what the quote Matt mentioned is referring to. And BFC-Max is indeed the super articulated figures, while the rest of Zx-Tole's team which you saw were most likely the BFW line which are considerably less articulated and came in double packs

I guess an 8 page chapter is Takaya's gift to himself! Here's hoping they're good'uns
-
I seem to remember hearing a long time ago that The Gigantic is yellow because one of Takaya's assistants made an error with the colour. Don't know how accurate it was though. If Guyvers are coloured by personality, then it would maybe make sense for Sho's Gigantic to be yellow because of the fact that it was made in confidence of being able to defeat Zoalords (more specifically, Alky).

Not sure if I'm a fan of that glossy finish. I think the matte of the BFC gave them a really nice look and feel. Also I remember seeing a photo of the figmas a while back and really liking the finish of the paint. Can't remember what it was exactly I liked about it, but it looks like that's gone. What a shame

Damn, Guyot has the WORST luck with running into beings of extreme power. Must be very frustrating for him. But very enjoyable to see him being thwarted like he deserves. Good chapter.

Not to be a massive butt kisser but his signature is awesome! Great photos. What is that Guyver Out of Control/Standardized book you have?
-
Ah yes I remember hearing about this a while ago, nice to see some pics! A shame there aren't any of Takaya himself, or more of a crowd. Are there rules against photography in Japan for these sorts of events?

Pretty understandable complaint, considering some manga are like, what, 50 pages monthly? I assumed Takaya had assistants like most other mangaka. Oh well. We really ought to try and get used to it now. At least he hasn't pulled any recap bullshit on us recently. The ending was rather strange and abrupt. Takaya quickly getting 2013's Guyver out the way? Anyway,

Yeah, it is more likely something to do with Archanfel rather than Aptom's abilities. I gather that only Zoalords can sense powers, as Murakami did on top of the Relic. The Guyver's sensory orbs don't detect powers as much as they detect presences, right? Although perhaps I should have a quick peek at the datafiles first...

http://www.japan-legend.com/guyver_advocacy/07_-_viz_english_version/045/31 Is this what you're referring to? This is peculiar, I don't think he's ever showcased this ability since this point. Did ZX-Tole have some sort of sensing powers too?
-
I can only imagine because by mixing 2nd editions with 3rd editions you get an inconsistent look of the books on your shelf, purely an aesthetic thing. Very superficial reason to increase the price. But I'm sure the earlier editions will probably be worth more further along the line.

Looking for guyver 3 data file what book is it in
Bio-Boosted Dude replied to chrisguyver's topic in Guyver
You could also check out the VDF, it will probably have a much more interesting data file than the tankobon -
Haha, fair enough. Looks like Archanfel overestimated himself that day
-
I think I see what you mean. And then presumably when he sees Sho come so far, all the way to Silha to save his friends that will be a moment of realization for Archanfel. But does Archanfel hold any ill feelings towards the Guyvers? I can see why he would dislike Guyvers as beings, but Sho? It could just start a conflict
-
I assumed the Remover was destroyed in the lava. At least that's what Archanfel thought, and I figured if he thought there was a chance it was still in one piece he would've made an effort to retrieve such an important device

Looks like the colour hardly changes from Aptom's scheme. Lovely cover! Thanks Cannibal

Is there any indication that there was a game that could be played with these? Did they come with rules or anything like that?
