The Guyver when active replaces and turns off organs within the host body. Considering the Guyver armours original purpose which is to command and control a spaceship. It wouldn't be a far leap to say part of that is to act as a safety net if the ship suffers a breach. I don't think the Guyver would have any trouble in space or underwater.

Thank you! Yup, WarriorGuyver.com is a holding site so has a good few old Guyver webpages in it that were saved from the deleted bin when I asked if I could host them when their creators were no longer interested in keeping them or in the case of the Guyver 4 anime page disappeared with Geocites. So every so often I've to fix old sites and figure out why images are no longer working or links have gone bad. At the moment my current side project is to remove their links sections as those sites are so old a fair amounts of their links no longer work. I also need to do some work to the old Stars Guyver page to make a little more functional with today's browsers. This weekend I'd like to get the old TheGuyver.NET fixed up (fix up the bits that don't link to anything and are dead ends) and better link it to this board and clear up the Scanlations information and likewise on the board of Japan Legend and get things more ready for the craziness that will happen in February and March with the new book. I've also another old Guyver website linked to Japan Legend and The.Guyver.Net to put up, so hopefully this weekend will be productive. Depends on how much real life gets in the way. I also have 3 message boards to update....

Uranus ships have being shown to be able to shield themselves from a Guyvers mega-smasher. If not for Sho being distracted by Guyot / Muarkami's fight chances are the ship would have escaped Chronos thanks to that shielding (which the Gigantic now uses)

The reason they did not is because it is an unacceptable risk. We only saw Acids used when zoanoids broke into the Relic, we do not know if it would take a more drastic measure on detecting a more powerful creature inside though this is possibly unlikely due to the fact a zoanoid managed to get inside and out of the relic thanks to large numbers of them trying. Though it did pay for that with it's life, again not something a zoalord would view as a resounding success. Also the main reason they never did has being hinded in the manga. when Guyot attacked Guyver 3 and the team directly Hamical didn't react well calling the move rash and not the norm. If a zoalord tried to risk himself doing what you suggest chances are he'd be shot down by command due to the risk of not only the zoalords life but more so to the zoa-crystal itself.

It wouldn't bother me if 1 person wants it or a load of people. What's important is that I'm using elements of the GWOTG in my fiction going forward. I'm already writing a story where Ira is seeing flash backs of her past life in the Assassin fan-fiction. In having to alone account for this characters story I have to defectively explain how the world was in her eyes. She is not the only character either coming over. If fans then go from reading that fiction to Great War and then are left confused it's not a great experience (in his early stories Allen tended to forget about some tech or characters or not give some back stories). If I do start work on this it will be with the aim of improving stories, making sure they make sense to a Guyver fan in terms of where stuff is and less random "Oh this unit just appeared for us to use" and yes it would evolve over time to give the site a lot of new art and if you're up for it data files too. Looking at the site though this is only needed really for Allen's first and part of his second sagas. I'd mainly only be thinking art for the 3rd Saga and finishing it off.

I always wondered what VIP membership meant exactly..... Not in it's current from. It's no longer got an affect on scanlations and was a feature offered by Jess in the old days. I'd also remove the cash element off it and sooner give VIP access based on board membership and positive and proactive membership. As this site is part of a bundle it's costing me a lot less than it cost Jess to keep it up and running.

This was the last contact from Allen we've had. He's not responded since and as you can see he's basically hinting he's no longer interested in continuing his Guyver story. I was hoping this wasn't the case but that post was over a year ago now and we've not heard form him since. Lately I took it upon myself to rebuild the GWOTG website and give it a face lift and fix it up so that it had Data Files etc. Matt posted this on Deviant Art yesterday. So the question is to the fans of GWOTG is with it's creator's lack of interest would you want the GWOTG to continue and be taken over, possibly rewritten to explain power levels and give back story and forgotten units and Characters or should it remain what it is now a little status bubble? Note like the Warrior Guyver fan-fiction we can take the 2001 site of Great War, fix it up to be a time bubble and then use the new templated site as a means of going forward? NOTE2: Some of us already know how Allen planned to end the story as Allen in the past emailed out the ending to some fans. So the goal would be considering he himself changed some things the last time he came back to being the story to the end he envisioned closely as possible while also before hand building up the past stories so that characters had more feeling to them.

It's the Atrahasis from Metting of the Warriors story.

This page is now merging with TheGuyver.Net. Basically going to be a lot more work but in the end will be a lot more worth it At the moment I'm in the middle of a massive clean up of pictures and Guyver files I've acquired over the last 10 years and will be getting them together so that this site has the best of everything I can get my hands on.

R.I.P. Great actor.

On the level of zoanoid. Wouldn't the T-3000 be as strong as a hyper zoanoid since it's made out of machine phase matter? Depends on which hyper you're referencing. Gigantic Guyver can take out 4 with one power punch not directly hitting them but with the shock wave. Some Hypers are great, others not so. But can a T3000 take on a Guyver. On paper no, but on paper means nothing considering the T3000 can made out of a loved on and not active a Guyver is just human.

The English petition is still stick'ed and around.. but as for the discussion about it, it's being a long time since someone wanted to talk about Guyver in English so that thread is probably buried itself a long time ago and there is no point in necro'ing as we might as well keep it fresh. The petition itself does help. it shows there are people willing to buy the manga, the issue is this board is not the companies own messageboard. We've a perfect storm in Guyver where the English speaking fans don't have an easy means of communication with the people who produce it. Guyver is very much an old school Anime so we've no Twitter feeds, official Facebook etc that goes back to the people we actually care to hear from which is the producer of the story. Kickstarter isn't a go as we do not have the rights to Guyver, and to get any costs a large sum of money and would come with conditions that if not fulfilled would involve you and your group losing the rights. Personally I think sticking with traditional idea is bad, which is can we re-produce Takaya's Guyver in English and see what happens. Why? Because it has already failed once and at the height of Guyvers 12 part Manga published run couldn't stay running.... don't get me wrong but Viz's run overall at the time compared to other comics of the day looked like a shoddy run operation with covers not matching the content inside compared to the Marvel and DC run competition. The first time I saw a Guyver comic it was dull as hell compared to the loveliness of a fully colored run of X-Man Age of Apocalypse. So whatever we want has to live with competition and SELL. Which means as I personally feel is we need a company to do more than just republish Takaya's work. Personally I think IDW would be a good company to take it on and do one important thing for long term fans to be interested. Do there own Guyver story at the same time as releasing the Japanese volumes in English. Give us something fresh, continue the Dark Hero story for example instead in comic form. http://www.idwpublishing.com/idw-establishes-new-licensing-division-idw-international/ This is like Spiderman for me, I'm not in the mood to see Sho AGAIN become the Guyver. P.S. There would be nothing I'd like more to stop the scanlation project because we finally have Guyver being published properly in English in the US and UK market. I'd personally buy it all up without a second thought. But for the purpose of this discussion I'm being realistic. Not everyone would do it just for the sake of owning Guyver in English. I also want to finally see a properly thought out publication of Guyver in English, and something a lot better than what VIz did. Star Comics and Chuang Yi do not count because Star Comics = Italian (I think?) and Chaung Yi was limited to Asia if not less, it was a pain to get and not publised in the USA or UK Markets.

OP NOTE: For those that are not aware. Japan-Legend.com is now managed by the WarriorGuyver.com staff. Our goal isn't to see Japan Legend fade away which it could have easily done last year but to continue keeping it up and running, host it and to fix issues with the site and to see it grow. This thread is for Japan Legend members to basically see what it is we're currently working on. It's not always going to be Japan Legend, but you'll know from looking here what it is that is currently confusing the hell out of me or keeping others busy. http://warriorguyver.com/creditsfaq/update_full.htmIs the URL where all website updates will be mentioned. 12/01/2016 I've being really busy the last month getting two of the web pages in WarriorGuyver.com fixed up and updated. Great War of the Guyvers has for a long time needed repair work as you couldn't read the fan-fictions wrote on it. Warrior Guyver Fan-Fiction had two menu systems for awhile and needed to be finally fixed up so it only had the one. Updating that amount of HTML files takes a VERY long time and has pretty much used up all the free time I've had lately. But it's done now and I'm happy with the end results. My goal now is to get Japan Legend's Wiki and the vault sections up and running properly and give it the focus it deserves. TheGuyver.NET will be updated as part of this. If anyone has any questions / suggestions or knows Wiki's inside and out and codes in SQL better than eating their breakfast and wants to help out this is the thread to do that in.

The Chronos Data File section is the last remaining part to be updated. It's also not a small section so will chances are take a day or two to complete. As this update has finished off it is finally beginning to feel more and more like the site is coming together and the 2009 version of the site and this version are getting further apart. By that I mean, the re-write is more than just fan-fiction now, it is Art (largely thanks to Matt!!) and it is now also Data Files thanks to Greg (McAvoy) and James. There are some important retractions of data as well that sharp eye'd fans will notice. Note any fan's who really liked the old versions of the art that was in the data files can still find them on the 2009 version of the site (That's why we kept it as is ). Another important change is that Valkyrie in our fan-fiction is changing names to free it up for the Official character Valkyria and our future plans with her. Further good news is this isn't just it either... Revenge Part 1 is getting closer to completion though I keep finding new dialog to add. There is more art from Matt on the way and there will be more data files to edit and fix up after this update... Now hopefully I can shake off this cold so I can focus on getting it finished and ready. Damn January weather! (Edit) Got a good go at them tonight, all done and all updated! Enjoy!

Great War is now back on its feet. The weekend after next will see one of the largest updates the site has ever had in terms of Data File updates and new Art along with the Rewritten Warrior Guyver 2 story. 2016 like 2015 will be a good year for the site!

When it comes to the English speaking world this is it pretty much with this site. There isn't any others. Japan the top Guyver site is: http://unit-g.sakura.ne.jp/ Requires some skill to work around if you've no Japanese.

For me at the moment it is between "Macross 7: OMG this is too strange" vs "Macross Frontier: I wish I was as good as the first Macross series".

this has being fixed and the Datafile and Fan-Art sections restored.

Thank you Jedi! Yep we are back and as you said updating more than almost any other time in WG.coms history. I think the only other time we updated this much was in the very early years of the WG-Fic site only. The site has grown so much since then and at the moment I'm in the middle of a huge update of over a hundred files and that's just to get the menu system working properly and in the one colour.... We will be keeping this site going, and growing and updating. In the next few days we'll have some very nice big updates including something special for one of the sites in WG.com that has being ignored a long time! Happy Christmas all.

The first draft of this is finished. Hoping to get it out before the end of the year

It does what it is meant to do. It takes a Franchise that is defectively done and then restarts it and puts in as much mystery as possible. It borrows themes from itself and from other series but in the end it does a far better job than the prequel in restarting the franchise. At least from here it can move forward and thankfully it didn't have any silly races having wars with robots / storm troopers. It was enjoyable but some people expect too much and it hurts their inner nerd not to find flaws with a movie franchise meant for my nephew and not a child me.

We're getting towards the end of the year towards holiday season. I'd just like to say guys thank you all for being around and sticking with us all these years. To new fans I hope you're out there and that this has being a good year for you guys. This has being an amazing year for us here, so much so we've taken over Japan-Legend and TheGuyver.net! into the group of sites managed by us. While that doesn't directly help the site the new Guyver Info page that will take over the old TheGuyver.Net page will turn into something very nice for people to go to and get information about the official Guyver. We've one more big update happening which I'll hopefully get together which will have more of the Data Files updates along with the new menu system in place fully in place and finally the re-wrote Warrior Guyver 2 story will be going up hopefully before the year ends. 2015 has being a great year. I hope you all have a good time during the holidays and be safe! Hopefully 2016 will be even better.
