Hey guys! My university's nerd club is trying to come up with ideas for a movie event to host on our campus sometime in the semester. We've already got one idea for April and that'll be a tribute to the coming Godzilla movie, but with our current selection of movies we're at a brick wall so to speak. We're limited with who has the movie in question or with Netflix. Also, after the movie a discussion forum about said movie must be held in order for it to be a legitimate event. So as May 16th, 2014 draws closer upon us, news regarding the new Ninja Turtles movie has been released. This time in the form of images of some statues that seemed to be on the filming location, as well as a picture of an armored Shredder, who seems to be in some sort of power armor similar to what was used in the movie "Elysium". I personally think the Turtles look awesome. Shredder... Maybe not so much, but does look menacing with that mask/face.

A series on youtube that takes an in depth look into the original Warcraft history/lore and the altered history/lore that Blizzard used for WoW. It exposes some inconsistency within the story. You'll see some of the old history that was changed for the Expansion sets for WoW as well as altering of creature statuses. I wonder how many of you have seen the Ancient Aliens TV series on History 2? I watch it mostly just to watch something on TV. First off, I don't really believe in aliens, but with the origins of live, I do believe that anything is possible until we find out why we're actually here as we are, be it aliens, divine intervention, or simple evolution. But what is most striking to me is how similar a lot of the Ancient Alien theory stuff is to certain plot elements of Bio-Booster Armor Guyver. I'm 5 seasons late, but I've recently started watching this series. I've heard a lot about this in the past, but never really paid any attention until I got curious a week ago. I find this interesting with the way the characters react to certain situation. Well, I'm still at episode 3 of season 1 so I don't know much about it, but the first episode starts of very interesting.

I don't understand Youtube's selective copyright enforcement. Thousands (or is it millions?) of clips of copyrighted music and movies and TV shows get posted and are never blocked. I post two clips of 30 year old Japanese super hero opening and ending credits they're immediatly blocked (by Toho). The other clips from Rainbowman were not touched. Was it the music they object to having on Youtube? I also put some clips of Zone Fighter that no problems with but as soon as I included two with Godzilla those were immediatly blocked by Toho.
