Guyver

I was just wondering about the creator of Guyver other works. While Guyver has been his main on-going project for all these years, I sincerely doubt it's the only thing he's ever worked on.

Nothing is created in a vacuum and I felt like exploring what inspired our beloved franchise. I'll leave any connections to Kamen Rider to those who have a better understanding of that series. Just wondering about this today. For example... Lets say we attached a guyver unit to a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Dinosaurs, from what we can work out, were likely creatures of limited intelligence which primarily functioned on pure instinct. Not much different then most birds, reptiles and crocodile of today. As a result the creatures use of the guyvers weapons would likely be used in a far more basic way then any human guyver would, most likely acting on instinct and in reaction to a current situation. I was thinking this figure from Sakamoto Desu Ga would make a good Sho with a head switch: https://myfigurecollection.net/item/287879 He wears a standard Japanese uniform like in the show, and he's sized proportionately to the BFC figure. I have seen some Kamen Rider figures where the jacket is open if you want a more dynamic look. I'm still considering which head to use (Yeah I'd have to buy 2 figures to make this, but worth it). We had seen a blueprint picture for this figure last year, but here is the prototype that was shown off at this past weekend Wonderfest 2018.

So I've been a fan for a long time and have read most of the manga up to book 30, now from what I understand is this was the place to go to get the translations if you bought the Japanese books. Now my question is, is this still active? if I buy the Japanese books can I still get the translations? Or has everyone moved on because from what I've seen there hasn't been any new chapters in a long time.

So I was on a manga viewer site since batoto died and the vault is gone, I was reading vol 10 61 to vol 11 63. Aptom just apears in chapter 63 fixing his leg that must of blown off while in the last chapter he wasnt in it at all. Was this Guyver Advocacy only releasing half of 62 because he wasnt in that chapter at all and now, Murakami zoalord is saying he was going to let him live, but cant because he saved the Guyvers. This is implying to me he was in the last chapter and got rekt by the zoalord and lost a leg. Please send help I am very confused, apreciate it if you can help guys.

I want to use it on VR Chat, and see how many people recognize Guyver...but mostly just because it would be living out my fantasy in VR. Preferably anime/manga style instead of Dark Hero style. Since we're going on a year now since the last chapter release, who knows, maybe it will come down to us wrapping things up ourselves to find closure. Post your own thoughts below. Here is mine that needs to be fleshed out: We get to see a Guyver Zoalord fusion (that was hinted early on) before it's all over. My fanfic ending thoughts from 10+ years ago was Murakami turning back to the side of good and then fusing with Sho's removed Guyver unit to take on Archanfel in an epic finale battle.

Just wondering what everyone thought on this. I grew up with the old one and loved it and i'm watching the new one new after forgetting about it. But rewatching it now i just feel like the old one was a lot better, it just seemed way darker and more violent. Even though the art is old i actually really like the old style.

Ok just wanted to get the facts strait on this one. Just wanted to know if there's a translation of his file? Of all the zoalords, I realised he's the one I know the least about.

Just something that came to mind while marathoning My Hero Academia: Since Zoacrystals store a Zoalord's power, can they store some of that power into other crystals like quartz? Like a back up battery so they don't drain their main crystal first and be left with a "oh crap" moment. I honestly don't know why this popped into my head while watching a super hero anime, but I'd figured it'd be worth asking the community and see if it's possible.

Recently I've been trying to get people who frequent Reddit into watching / reading Guyver and most have never heard of it. Now the 2005 series might have helped its popularity a little or the fact that there are still models and figures floating around, but it really hurts a manga's popularity when you can't find it on the shelf somewhere. Both Guyver and Berserk came out around the same time, and yet Berserk is actually still popular, dare I say mainstream. Every time you go to Barnes & Noble or any other bookstore, there it is on the shelf. Everybody I talk to knows what Berserk is, but nobody knows what Guyver is. So I've seen the first actual figures being sold on yahoo auctions today, so they must have been shipped to Japanese customers. Has anyone received any emails confirming shipping yet? I haven't heard from Tokyo otaku mode about it yet. Hopefully we get some first hand picture of the new figma soon!

Are there any Shonen Ace Covers that feature the Guyver prominently? I know you Have Shonen Captain Covers, but I wish you guys had a decent scan of a Shonen Ace Cover With a Guyver (the franchise) on it... Maybe there was one in 2005 featuring the then new anime series. Maybe there was one with it's arrival. Who knows?
