Hello Fellow Guyver Fans, I have been lurking here on and off mostly from Google searches about Guyver and just wanted to mention Kinokuniya sells the latest volumes in store and the one I went to (42nd st NYC) said they would order any back issues from Japan without any extra fees but once the order is placed there are no refunds. If you have one near your area you should check em out, they have a bunch of other manga in Japanese and makes me really wish I could read kanji. Anyone else know any good Japanese bookstore chain or local import shop? (I am in NYC but don't mind travelling) Also Thanks for the scanlations!!! I would have never gotten this far into the…

"See you in hell Guyver!" Is it me or is this something of a Zoanoid catchphrase or battle cry. This line has be yelled in both the OVA's and the Series a few times, when ever I think of zoanoids fighting guyvers that line always pops into my head. Do they yell it because they fully expect to die in the battle? I mean they will but its makes me feel bad for them. They have no choice in fighting the guyver, they must do as a zoalord commands. Poor scrubs .

Okay. Shouldn't Cronos know better by now? They literally throw out basic zoanoids and Hyper Zoanoids against Agito and Sho...(not to mention Aptom and Guyver 2F), who by the way are now slaughtering them the Gigantics and in Agito's case, he's using the Libertus as a nice little bonus. Richard Guyot in the 2005 adaptation mentioned that they'd only be wasting their resources, yet...they do it any way. Lets not forget, they've been doing it more since Richard was discarded by Alkanphel for treason. So why waste Zoanoids? At this point, they're nothing but meat shields. Even after Agito's defeat from Sho, and seeing as Shizu had 40 shades or crap beat out…

So what are all the story arcs within the story? Like the Mt. Minikami arc for example. Speaking of which, does that include the first portion of the story too? With Genzo, Guyver II and so on, before Sho arrived at Mt. Minikami?

Is anyone ever so curious about whether or not Sho and his friends will have a happy ending or if Sho might have one of those hero deaths at the end of the story? I'm just wondering how it will play out should it come to an end.

I been currese about this for some time, how big an impact has Guvyer had (I'm willing to be more than it ever gets credit for) and how many parodies, ripoffs, homages of inspired bys are their out their. Even odd things that could just be coincidence. Guyver itself was inspired by a lot of things such as Super Sentai, Alien (it even beat the Alien franchise to the punch on ancient aliens) and other manga like Baoh and possibly to some degree Devilman (the two series have a lot in common). So off the top of my head...... Well there's the "how did DC not get sued" rip off Zuggernaut! Zetman Possibly Genocyber and Cthulhu Tech …

The topic says it all. Whate are some things that you really like about the Guyver? What I really like is the armor, the zoanoids, the zoalords for one. That being Richard Guyot and how evil he was and how Sho and Agito endured a good fight against Chronos. So, those are some things that I really enjoyed about the series. Thoughts?

So. Just wondering. I'm not sure why the rogues reinstated Guyot. I mean, honestly. Why have Guyot back on the playing field? I never really saw Guyot coming back as a lesser zoalord. It doesn't make that much sense to me now that I think about it. Guyot couldn't win on a one on one fight with Agito, Sho, or Aptom. Unless there is more to his new zoacrystal than Yoshiki is leading us on about. But, wouldn't it be easier for the rogues themselves to oppose the Guyvers anyway? I mean, the result happened as Agito attacks them anyway.

So, I'm wondering what religion Sho was before he came across the Guyver and learned the truth about the creators. \ I know it wasn't exactly focused on in the anime....not sure if it was said in the manga either. I was thinking Buddhist maybe? Anyone have any ideas?

Well, after a few recent eBay bargains, my collection doubled this week. A few less common finds in there. I even found a gregole disassembled in the guyver 2f box. I have a few seconds now, so some might go up in the classifieds over the next week or so. I'm very excited to get started unboxing and checking them out! It would help if I attached the photo, bare with me...

"...a genius. By a man who was king of his own little world. You'd like him." Ninth Doctor, Dalek Here's yet another one of my "crossover" posts. Between reading Marvel's "Secret Wars" event, and watching shows like "The Flash" and "Arrow" on the CW, I've been doing a little bit of thinking... Case in point: Agito Makishima. Not the kind of person who makes friends, but always the one who wants to be pulling the strings. But what would happen if he crossed paths with other "master manipulators"? I've culled together a few culprits to get the ball rolling... First off, we have... The Maker. Reed Richards from Earth-1610. Originally the leader of the Fantastic …

Hi all, So, it's been a while since I last caught up! And, worse luck, the link to September 2014's chapter is dead. The post doesn't have the usual mirrors and various languages. Is there any chance of a necro-update?

So i dont really come here that much but I saw something very interesting that was Guyver related that i couldnt find anyone talking about. Ok so I was looking at David Hayter's twitter, who we all know from Dark Hero. And on Aug 10th 2013 he made a tweet that was a picture with him and Steve Wang and it said discussing Guyver 3. Now I dont know if he was serious or not but man I want it to be serious. Do not confuse this with a tweet he made like a year ago that says he pitched the idea to Wang but the project could not happen due to rights issues. This is something that happened relatively recently. So I simply want to know what people think. If you don't believe an…

Simple question. I've noticed that about once a year a new Guyver book will come out in Japan. For a while I thought Takaya released the manga weekly for a while until a certain point. I also thought that he stopped for a while. Now I'm thinking he released each issue monthly. Can any clear this up for me? I've assumed that he quickly refined his drawing style within the first four books which amazed me. But if he did it monthly then it took him two years to reach that level.

Alright alright, I know people may be tired of this discussion, but I can't put this theory I got a few days ago down. As far as I know there hasn't been a definitive answer, but if there is please correct me and end my madness. Okay, so the question is why was Guyver 2 consumed, but Guyver 1 wasn't when they both lost their control metals, right? Well my theory is Guyver 1's end result is what's suppose to happen; the organism becomes a bio-boost creature. The reason I think Guyver 2's end result was him being eaten alive is because the Guyver organism that Guyver 2 possessed was being "starved". The organism is sustained by "feeding" it the host's bio …

Okay, you know in Dark Hero where he get's knocked out and tied to a cot? I didn't get that part. Why don't I get it? Well, here's what I'm thinking. Didn't Krane and his happy band of gang bangers realize that once he wakes up long before they take their sweet time to get him to Kronos headquarters that he would activate the unit and kill them all? Did they think about that? Obviously not. When they gave him the sedative, they should have taken him immediately and kept him sedated instead of holding him at the camp. Instead they did neither of those things. If they were really serious, they should have sedated him and than killed him in his hu…

I told my Fiancee I would read Sailor Moon if she would read The Guyver. So far, she thinks it's ok. (I think Sailor Moon is alright, just not too crazy about the art style). She hasn't read much, but I think she might enjoy it. She only likes newer animation, so I know she'll like the anime! Thank goodness, Chuang Yi Publishing is going to bring out volumes 9-15 soon, so she can read them too. Anybody else able to get their Significant Other into The Guyver?
