Looking for input on a Guyver fanfic I'm working on.

There is the 'mass problem': if the Guyver is inside the user when inactive, what happens when it comes out? Does the wearer shrink? -
So that is twelve pages of the Gigantic slowly and carefully putting down the structure, with as climax how it gently touches down.

Xenophobia is instinctive. Chimpanzees, our closest relatives, live in clans that will kill members of other groups if they 'infringe'. Racism is animalistic behaviour that needs to be overcome. In time it will disappear from our instincts set, assuming racial distinctions won't have disappeared first.

FBI says it has dismantled the leaders of Anonymous....

It's not an organization but an idea. And ideas are bullet proof. -
Modern humans did not 'diverge from Neanderthal'. Homo Sapiens is descended from Homo Ergaster, the African Homo Erectus, while Neanderthals are descended from the European Homo Erectus. We interbred later, but not that much.

Nor was the Cosmic Cube. It's a matter of levels.

Saw only the first episode.

Hmph. Still holding out for the Eye of Agamotto turning out to be one of the Gems.

I am not at all satisfied with that. It just doesn't make sense. Why would Thanos entrust Loki with one of the six items he seeks? Why didn't the Asgardians obtain the staff when they could, after the battle?

This is going to be... infinitely awesome.

I still want to find out Apollon is actually a good guy and everybody out in space is pissing their pants at the thought of an entire planet full of insane war machines that breed like sewer rats. "They're actually not that bad, my lords." "But look at the wars they wage!" "Oh, they are stupid. Really stupid. ...Really, really stupid. But they want to be better."

I feel compelled to add here that there is one unifying quality that all the various Hulkbuster armors over the years have possessed: They don't work against the Hulk. Also: Ultron. I hope they go a little wilder with the design near the end... one of the things about him that I found visually compelling was that his head was one rigid block, with the mouth wide open, so it looked like he was always screaming... and of course, his flaming insides shining out like a murderous Jack-o-lantern.

I think you must be right. The people depicted when he first appears look pretty primitive, but they do look like anatomically modern humans. That would suggest no more than about a quarter million years ago. On the other hand: the Creators left and Archanfel stopped their planetoid attack, leading to the Ice Age, suggesting the Ice Age, not just the most recent one... and that began 2.6 million years ago.
-
So... when is the new chapter?

The Predators would just 'nuke' Earth from solar systems away. They hunt using primitive tools by choice, not from need. They had interstellar space craft ten thousand years ago. Heck, they could be the enemy of the Creators. ... After the fustercluck that was 'Prometheus', I came up with the following headcanon: There once was an ancient and powerful race who had attained a level of such technological advancement that they were virtually immortal and capable of anything. But having done so, they felt their lives had lost meaning. So they decided to return to the ways of their distant ancestors and risk their lives in deadly hunts for fearsome prey, testing themselves continually, surviving on their wits and strength, rather than technology, all the while maintaining their high level of technological advancement. So they became the Hunters. There once was another ancient and powerful race who attained a level of such technological advancement that they were almost immortal and capable of pretty much anything. Having done so, they were content to live their lives pursuing scientific knowledge. They proceeded to travel the galaxy, researching, studying and manipulating life forms, having raised themselves to a level of genetic perfection. They were the Engineers. I don't know how a war would have started, but on the other hand it seemed logical: their ways of life were completely anathema: one race lived with furious passion, grappling with life and death, the other existed with cold detachment, studying from a distance. Anyway, war. The Engineers were outmatched. Their opponents lived to fight and their technology was as advanced as theirs. But then they discovered something. The Hunters went after any worthy prey, but there was one held over all others. An ancient species, much older than either the Hunters or the Engineers, but not civilized, maybe not even sapient. A race of super-adaptable parasites capable of incredibly rapid reproduction. Hunting one was a rite of passage for the Hunters. These monsters we call Xenomorphs. So the Engineers took this species, isolated it and weaponized its genetic material into a range of biological attacks. However, while this gave them an edge, it stoked the Hunters to far greater ferocity. The Engineers realized they may have dug their own grave with this move, and thus decided to make a back up of themselves. On a small but friendly world they seeded their own species, but in a stunted, downgraded form, so that they could escape detection by the Hunters. In the end, their war was lost. A handful of stragglers survived by entering bio-stasis and the Hunters declared victory. Eventually, the Hunters discovered the world the Engineers had seeded with smaller, more imperfect versions of themselves, but instead of destroying it outright, they decided to test them. To see whether the Engineers could instead have been worthy, honorable adversaries. They raised the natives to a level of civilization and exposed them to Xenomorph infestation to hunt the results, in a recurring religious ritual. That is how I see the Aliens/Predator/Prometheus universe... it could easily be combined with several other James Cameron productions, such as The Terminator, Avatar and Titanic. You'd have to change only a few minor details to conflate it with the Guyver universe: say the Engineers are the Creators. Say they didn't steer human evolution from billions of years ago (which was always a completely insane idea) but, say, fifty thousand; and say humanity is their offspring, but a weaponized offspring. Combining the main traits of the Engineers/Creators with those of biological weapons they made. We're upgraded versions of themselves. The next stage of the war. That is why we fascinate the Hunters and that is why they keep coming back. But they might have to kill us all if we develop large-scale space travel.

I imagine machines like the Harvester from 'Salvation'...
-
Depends on the time frame. But I bet Skynet can churn out new Terminators faster than Chronos can create new Zoanoids...
-
Now, we have discussed what might happen if the Guyver universe crossed over/into the Marvel universe... how about other universes? What would happen if Chronos tried to get its way in.. ..The DC comics universe. ..The Transformers comics universe. ..The Walking Dead universe. ..The Tolkien universe. ..The Aliens/Predator/Prometheus universe.

Anyone know 'Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt'? It's pretty unique... -
I wonder who designed them. And yes, a moment of silence for the Unus, and the sad fact we'll never see a Quintus, Hexapod, Septimus, Octavian, Enneator or Decurion.
-
because ?? Because you're employing 'special pleading'. You insist Chronos might succeed in invading the Marvel Earth and your argument consists of 'well they might', and I disagree with that. I don't think they could. And I don't agree that Chronos would use the Morlocks, either. They might even go out of their way to destroy them. How about Venom? Or, at least, the symbiote.
-
I completely disagree with you, alkanfel.
-
Dude. What does this even mean? I didn't even bring him up yet... but yeah. Doom is major bad mojo. Chronos would not accept the Morlocks. They're genetic dross. And Weapon Plus, ultimately, exists to further the interests of the US and Canadian government. ...What happens if it's the other way around? What happens if the villains of Marvel Earth - or the heroes for that matter - invade Guyver-Earth?
-
Individuals have been able to briefly infiltrate organizations on Marvel Earth. In some cases, like the Deltite, the Super-Adaptoid and the Skrull nation, they were even able to take over the entire organization. But in the end, they always failed. Chronos was up against an ordinary Earth, with governments, police agencies, armies and secret services. Marvel Earth just is not like that. For one thing they have psychics, telepaths, wizards. And, one more thing, but a critical factor... Can't be killed. Can't be defeated. Is crazy as a loon, but always comes back to one core concept: Protecting humanity.
-
Power levels aside... I don't think Chronos can realistically take over Marvel Earth. How would they infiltrate? There are so many superheroes and supervillains, secret governmental organizations, secret supervillain organizations, sorcerors, psychics, telepaths, gods, demons, self-aware supercomputers and androids, terrorist cells, free agents - super-powered or otherwise - who work for nobody, mad scientists, mutates and mutants, not to mention several other sentient species - some of which are not even related to humans - living on Earth, plus at least one strain of sentient microbe which has steered the course of evolution for billions of years, that an operation as vast as Chronos would have a very hard time getting a foot in the door without causing a dozen alarm bells to ring. "Okay... we have a subject... shall attempt preliminary testing to see what type he could be processed into... any personal data?" "Um... this is the guy's wallet... let's see... occupation... oh, hey, he works for the DOD's science department." "I bet he's a Gregole. You can tell by the build. This guy was made to be a big green bruiser." "Name... Robert Bruce Banner -" *** "Okay... we have another subject.... shall attempt preliminary testing to see what type he could be processed into... and check his date beforehand this time!" "Holy crap, there's a million cards from clubs in here... and what's this? A little black book? Hey, I'm keeping that." "Get on with it! What's the guy's name and occupation?" "Uh... party-animal, by the looks of things." "Ha! We'll give him a purpose in life." "Name...Jonathon Lowell Spencer Storm." *** "...All right, a woman this time. Attempt... preliminary testing to see...what type she could be processed into..." "I can't believe we're processing women now." "What I can't believe is we lost two labs already because the people here are all freaks. Let's just hope this girl doesn't have any nasty surprises..." "Nahh, she's out like a light. So... who is she?" "Doreen Green. And - " "Hey! How did that rat get in? Filthy animals!" "...That's not a rat, dude. That's a squir-" "AAAAEEEIIGGHHH..!!!"
