  1. Mizuki is getting older, ie growing up, ie filling out. She's going from nervous teenager to woman of the world. Like a Pokémon.
  2. I do not believe so.
  3. Sho has only seen Archanfel a few times... in fact the only occasion I can think of off the top of my head is at Mount Minakami, when he came within a hair's breadth of killing him and Agito. ...Wasn't the last time we saw Archanfel before this when he startled awake after Barkas came to him to apologize? So many questions...
  4. It's so strange to see him eat. Or wear a shirt. I mean, him playing with Zoanoids as pawns is normal... Why is this happening? Why does Apollon (assuming he is a real entity and not just Archanfel himself) put two unmutated humans in a little playhouse with the Zoalord Supreme? Is Apollon perhaps a 'good guy' after all, observing the Earthlings to see whether they are worthy of survival?
  5. I want to keep the possibility open that Archanfel is controlling the Apollon armor remotely. That would explain why he seems so absentminded - because he is. I do like this chapter. A lot. Frankly I can't wait for the translation. Why bring the hand to the island? History being any indication, it will either desintegrate or be able to be controlled by Sho...
  6. Of course. But if you're gonna translate something, I prefer it to be thorough. Not using honorifics doesn't make the characters any less Japanese nor the setting any different. Does using honorifcs really make the manga sound more authentic to you? In a word: yes. It reminds me they are not speaking English, but Japanese. ...Interesting, though. We never get the impression they switch over between languages, even though I doubt that for instance the members of Zeus' Thunderbolt spoke Japanese. Nor, indeed, all of the Zoalords; that the Guyver appeared in Japan was a fluke, a coincidence. It could have happened anywhere. Why would Guyot (French?) or Barcas (Probably Portuguese) be able to speak Japanese?
  7. But Agito and Shizu aren't British or American. They're Japanese, and from pretty old-fashioned families at that. Personally I don't mind being reminded occasionally.
  8. In my mind, he is French/German, maybe even a product of the German occupation of France. On the other hand, his last name is Guyot, suggesting his father was French. Maybe he's from the Elzas? Trico Bren, while I get it can chafe, how should - for instance - Shizu's relationship to Agito be properly expressed in the way she addresses him? I would personally write 'Master Agito', but even as I type it I feel it's inappropriate.
  9. 'Richard' is not pronounced the same way in every European language. Richard Wagner's first name is pronounced differently from Richard Lionheart.
  10. Mizuki once again turning out to be adaptable as ever...
  11. Yes. You can tell from the hair.
  12. They should have made it a double feature. More value for money and 'Dark Hero' is a lot better.
  13. Shin has had an intimate, almost father/son relationship with Barcas for 370 years. I doubt that it would be a difficult choice. However, he would voice his objections, especially if a bigger threat rears its head. Humanity existed to serve the Creators, but the Creators rejected us; so that would have to have done something to his feelings regarding obedience.
  14. In this day and age this could definitely work. I do wonder why the Japanese never made one.
  15. Seems plausible. But I think he's likely to be very careful with that... maybe he even had himself 'immunized', shot up with the anti-Aptom virus just like Neozektoll and Enzyme III.
  16. It's not delusional if you think it's the only choice you have.
  17. Why do you call him 'delusional', though, Jupiter?
  18. Apollon seems to be connected to the Creators. And he seem to think they can be back at any time. So it may be null and void. Plus: judging Archanfel on his heartfelt desire to prove himself to his creators is unfair. It's literally the reason he exists. What else does he have to live for? Friends? He is the only one of his kind in existence and nobody can truly understand him. Family? See previous answer. If he wants to prove his creators wrong by showing he can turn humanity into an army to fight for them (if that is what he wants, rather than turning humanity into an army to go kick their asses) then I can't fault him for that. You can't really argue that humanity shouldn't be used like that because as a matter af fact, that is exactly why humanity exists, just like Archanfel himself. Humanity, as it is, is a failure - a corrupted strain, stunted by thousands of years of mutation, still full of belligerence but with nothing to focus it on properly. We're supposed to fight like demons - not each other, but some nameless, unknown cosmic enemy. Without that enemy, we get endless war and strife. (Indeed, perhaps the Advents are actually a very peaceful race, and very bad at warfare, comparatively speaking). Unless Archanfel finds a new way to live, then perhaps there is no other choice for him than to die. I don't see how it could be otherwise. He is a living hyperweapon, capable of commanding an entire species of lesser bio-weapons, and of shattering a planet all by himself. What is he supposed to do? Get a job? Get a girl- or boyfriend? Move into an appartment and spend his time off playing WoW and Assassin's Creed?
  19. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the end of Richard Guyot. Aptom had planned to years ago.
  20. He did not account for Archanfel's interference. And why should he? He had never met him. And if Archanfel had interfered just six hours later - if he had been hibernating - then Guyot would have succeeded. The Guyvers were unaware of the existence of the Remover, and if, as you say, he had not been drained by his battle with Archanfel, the only one who could realistically have stopped him was Barcas, about whose true battle capabilities we know nothing. But he did not transform when Archanfel was in mortal danger from being sucked up by the black hole, so...
  21. People in his position typically do not like to share.
  22. Well, that makes sense. He is a superior being. He probably doesn't even get that it's supposed to be challenging. He seems kind of asleep. I wonder if they have spoken about anything. ....WWWwaait. Have the Segawas ever seen Archanfel in human form? Is it possible they don't know who he is?
  23. I am an atheist, but:
  24. Kusanagi is atypical for a Japanese woman, to say the least. She has no family and displays no family values, is anything but gentle and soft-spoken, kills without regret, drinks like a fish*, makes porn for money**, has very little respect or use for authority and breaks away from her organization to get into bed with an almost complete unknown for reasons we can barely fathom. Hell. We don't even know whether her real name is Kusanagi, or that she is Japanese in the context of the original comic. She is a secret agent with a body which is either almost entirely, or in fact entirely artificial - including her brain. Maintaining her original identity would be entirely counterproductive to her job. Maybe her real name is Johnson, or Rosenstein, or Ivanieva, or Okeke, or Kim, or Sanchez, or Hussein. * She gets a little drunk, so I guess her brain still has to be (partly) organic. ** Yes, really.
  25. Who is this jackoff?
