Oh, if they field Squirrel Girl Chronos wouldn't even have to bother showing up.
-
Three more technological warriors in the Marvel Universe need to be mentioned because they are extremely powerful and would or might have reason to oppose Chronos: Nimrod, a super-Sentinel sent from the future, who was created to kill mutants, but came to change his ways - which was a good thing. He was absurdly overpowered, having been designed by Sentinels who had been designed by Sentinels, as the ultimate destroyer of mutants. He had a seemingly endless array of abilities, possibly developing them as he went along, and proved nearly impossible to destroy, having complete control over his body's molecules. Since he changed his mission from destroying mutants to protecting humans, he would act to stop Chronos. Then there is the Adaptoid, or the Super-Adaptoid, or ultimately the Supreme Adaptoid. He was created by the secret organization AIM as their ultimate enforcer; he had been empowered by a shard of the all-powerful Cosmic Cube, so he could copy the appearance, powers and abilities of any life form he encountered. (Sound familiar?) To this end, he only needed a brief touch, or to just be close to them for a few seconds. Initially he only copied Captain America, but soon he added the Avengers to his repertoire. Eventually there seemed to be no limit to the number of abilities he could copy and recall at will. As he evolved into the Supreme Adaptoid, he copied the powers of Kubik, an evolved Cosmic Cube himself, making him nominally omnipotent. He planned to replace all people in the world with Adaptoid copies, releasing billions of blank Adaptoid templates from his towering body. While the Adaptoid passionately hates humans because they possess a quality he cannot understand or copy, he might still object to them being conquered by the even more objectionable (because even more emphatically organic) rule of Chronos. Finally, and possibly the deadliest of all - the Fury. The Fury was created by an insane man with reality-warping abilities as his agent, to massacre all super-humans in the world except himself. Having done so, the synthetic being developed dimension-travelling abilities and kept killing superhumans in other universes. Like the other two here, the Fury's capacities are variable, but constantly evolve and become deadlier. It would absolutely perceive Zoanoids and Zoalords as superhumans - they are, after all - and attempt to destroy them all.

Against Ultron they would stand no chance at all. That simple. Why? Well, ask the people of Slorenia about that... oh, wait, you can't: they're all dead. Ultron, just as an individual, is so strong and deadly he usually takes on all the Avengers at once. Even Thor doesn't have it easy against this feller: The others here seem less deadly - the Vision, Ultron's wayward son, would be a severe problem, with his difficult-to-quantify powers - but the Phalanx... well... They absorb, assimilate, convert and integrate organic life forms. On contact. Kind of like the alien from 'The Thing'. Trying to defeat them by sending armies of Zoanoids at them would be like trying to estinguish a fire with kerosine. The Phalanx are the mutant offspring of the Technarchy who are even deadlier. Where the Phalanx form a hive intelligence out of all life forms they absorb, the Technarchs feed in the same matter they do - they infect organic life forms with a techno-organic virus that convert them into cyber-matter like their own body's - but they just suck out all life force, leaving dead husks, while they swell into gigantic, omni-adaptive, planet-killing hyperpredators.

depending on DepNet.com for suits have at that time I think they are about 60 armor, but apart from the hulk busted, do not think any have strength to keep up with Zoanoids, less if there are thousands or hundreds of thousands, in cuianto to thor, I think there comes more in cestiones being confronted by more than one zoalord everything depends on nibel have and that some are, personally ultimate, is not constant, because their powers are completely irregular, the Zoanoid not precent changes in their models that are enjoyable optimisados and pass to a higher class, Zoanoid a hyper Zoanoid or lost number, and finally zoalord not Guyvers story, because that would end up allying with marvel heroes and this is ciendo planetado from the day, x, ie, no enzyme 3 not libertus not unus, not guyot spider, in short the midpoint between manga volumes 9 and 10, and I want reiterear, sipiderman beings as the x men, the fantastic 4 would not only ravaged Zoanoids, would be captured and studied, what their avilidades, would be controlled by chronos You seem completely unaware that these people frequently fight armies of enemies. Also: Iron Man's armor is really, really strong. Even back in the eighties it was class 75; nowadays, it's class 100. That is physically stronger than any Zoanoid, even Neo-Zektoll; in fact, it's about half that of the Gigantic Guyver, so I think we can safely say it is at a Zoalord's level in terms of strength alone. The comparison, all in all, makes about as much sense as wondering whether Chronos could take on the characters of Dragonball Z.

Well, Vamore and other bio-blaster types have that cornered... maybe they don't want to risk leaving any weapons for any enemy to capture at all. A gun too heavy for a human to lift might still be mounted on a vehicle, for instance. It might also be the principle of the thing - to show guns are unnecessary. Or maybe Archanfel and the others just never got used to that kind of thinking. Accurate firearms that do serious damage, but can be carried by a strong person, are something of the last half century. (Actually... the Panzerfaust was from 1942). Back in the sixteenth century when Barcas lived, handguns were unreliable, impractical affairs; rifling had been invented, but was only rarely applied. Flintlocks hadn't even been invented yet. Could it be that X-day had to be moved up because it was conceivable that technological advancement would render Zoanoids obsolete? Imagine soldiers equipped with weaponry so advanced they could defeat Zoanoids one-on-one. Handguns that can kill a Zoanoid with one shot; sensors that detect them from miles away; armor that resist claws, teeth and stingers. Not to mention the advance in robotic combat. I think Takaya may have to hurry it up a bit. If he doesn't finish Guyver in time, people might ask 'Why didn't the army just deploy robots against the Zoanoids on X-day?'

It has been seen... in that fanmade image? And we seem to be focusing on Spider-Man. How about, say, Iron Man? Or Thor? Or Wonder Man? Or Luke Cage?
-
Well, his power does increase over time. That is quite common with radiation-inflicted powers. Ben Grimm has gradually gotten stronger, and let's not even talk about the Hulk... The strength issue is not the only problem I have with Zoanoid files. There is also the weight issue. Gregole is 2.35 m tall and weighs 150 kg (these are averages, I have no doubt, but that is not the issue). To quote a suitable comparison: Hafþór JúlÃus Björnsson, aka 'the Mountain' from 'Game of Thrones', is only 2.06 m tall, but weighs 180 kilograms. And he doesn't even have neck balancers. Look at this hamfisted comparison: It gets a lot worse with Zoalords, especially Kabral, who, in brain mode, has about the density of styrofoam.
-
I don't think I understand what you are saying. And I was using the Marvel scale, of course. On that scale, Gregole is a level 3 - 'capable of lifting 3 metric tons', which is about the power level of 15 strong men. Spider-Man, on the other hand: He's beastly strong. And strength isn't even his best feature - his speed, agility, ability to stick to any surface, his multi-applicable webs, years of combat experience against an endless variation of foes, plus a sixth sense that warns him of impending danger make him a match for much stronger opponents. All Avengers are versed in fighting many super-powered enemies at once, alone or as a team. Zoanoids are risibly outmatched.
-
Gregole would not be a level 15 but a level 3, maybe. And yes, we have that one image of a Gregole hefting what looks like an M-1 Abrams tank over its head - which weighs 62 tons - but that contravenes everything we were ever told about the type, or indeed Zoanoids per se. A Gregole would not sweep the floor with Spider-Man. Spider-Man is physically as strong as the Guyver. Infiltration? In a world that not only has several independent secret agencies that keep their eye out for exactly that, but also several secret criminal or terrorist organizations (AIM, HYDRA, THEM, the Secret Empire, the Hand, Zodiac and the Sons of the Serpent and this is just the tip of the iceberg) trying to do so? Archanfel is unique; he is the most powerful being in the world, and destroying the planet that was thrown at Earth took everything he had. It may even be that act that causes in him the need to hibernate. Chronos has no other warrior who can do anything like what he can do - and even Archanfel is severely outclassed when faced with several of Marvel-Earth's people. I don't think I agree with you at all.
-
Actually, Alkanfel, Spider-Man is at least a class 10 - meaning he can deadlift ten tons; while Gregole is stated to have the strength of fifteen men, Spider-Man is at least as strong as fifty. Quite apart from that, I think the Guyver universe and the Marvel one are fundamentally incompatible. Here's why: In the Marvel universe, about a million years ago, Earth was visited by the Celestials, gigantic armored space-gods. They took humanitys ancestors - probably Homo Heidelbergensis - and manipulated their genes, creating three species: the immortal, god-like Eternals, the ever-changing, demonic-looking Deviants, and the humans, who seemed unchanged - except they now had the potential to develop incredible super-powers. It is this hidden potential that caused the surge in superheroes and -villains. The Fantastic Four got their powers through exposure to cosmic rays, the X-men and other mutants develop theirs naturally, and Captain America, Luke Cage and Wonder Man were empowered as the result of experimentation, but the ultimate cause is always the Celestials' meddling. They are the Creators, and their efforts contravene anything the Advents might have done. Where Zoa-forming is an arduous and dangerous process, empowering a human in the Marvel universe, on the other hand, can be as simple as electrocution, being bitten by a radioactive spider or simply hitting puberty; the process is virtually instantaneous and practically every subject survives. And some of the empowered individuals possess enormous power, on a par with that of a Zoalord, like Magneto, Graviton, Electro (on a good day), the Human Torch, Radioactive Man, Apocalypse or Iceman. Some even surpass Archanfel, like Molecule Man, the Scarlet Witch or the Sentry. In an all-out war between the two Earths, Chronos is outclassed. And were Chronos to try to Zoaform people from the Marvel universe, they could be facing any number of nasty surprises.

Master Pandemonium originally showed up in West Coast Avengers #4. He pops up every now and then again. People seem to have forgotten who he is and why he does what he does, though, so now he is presented as a sort of evil wizard. Which he isn't.
-
Also Master Pandemonium. He was an actor who was in a car accident and was dying. Then, the Devil (well, Mephisto) appeared and said he would save his life for a price. The guy accepted, and Mephisto said that he'd ripped out his soul and scattered it about the Earth. If he could find all five pieces he would be free; it would be a quest for Mephisto's amusement. He discovered he had a hole in his abdomen in the shape of a pentagram, but on the upside, he now had the ability to manifest and expel an apparently endless number of demons from his body. Hence his name: Pandemonium, ie. "Home of all demons". Turns out it was a scam; it was in fact not his own soul he was looking for, but Mephisto's. Oh, and perhaps also The Darkness, aka Jackie Estecado; so long as he is in the dark, he can manifest a host of little devils to do his bidding. Apparently they are his own 'demons' of the mind given form.

Shang Tsung. I thought you meant people who basically become an environment...The only ones that come to mind are Metroplex and Fiddler's Green.
-
We know that the Zoanoid process alters even your human form, because Tetsuro and Natsuki were working on ways to recognize individual types of Zoanoid by their normal appearance. And it makes sense, too; imagine being a Zoanoid, and then dying in a stupid accident while in human form. You'd want to improve those odds.

We're too small to be considered a 'fandom'. Besides, what do you call fans of Batman? Of the Avengers? I don't think a name is necessary.
-
No. Blu-Ray is like DVD's but evolved, and according to some they are the last hard-ware based media generation before it really becomes too inefficient to sell anything besides software.

But China won't tolerate all-out invasion because North Korea has nukes. Now if China invaded and took care of this... But their policy has always been absolute respect for national sovereignty.

...Actually that is exactly what you're advocating. Leaving it to chance, and not interfering. -
All these problems are just manifestations of innate issues humans have. We have problem-solving intelligence, but we are not programmed to use it in our current environment. Instead we're equipped to handle the everyday problems of plainswalking hunter-gatherers, as we were until just 7000 years ago. Our social instincts are sufficient to handle a group of about 150 individuals. Result: frustration from living a lifestyle our instinct can't handle - and we're not even consciously aware of it because we've never known anything else. Multiply by several billion and what you get is this world of ours. Some hypothesize our instincts will adapt to a more urban lifestyle - improved social instinct, less aggressive libido, more altruism, and so on - but unfortunately developments like that take thousands of years, if not longer. Let's hope we will manage to do something ourselves soon, using technology.

Must be. We didn't see him die. It won't fool them for long, but maybe long enough... man, he won't like hiding like a scurrying rat or bug.

Any change, no matter how small, has geometrically increasing ripple effects. And to even suggest that World War I and all the horror that flowed directly from it (Including, but not limited to, the Spanish Flu pandemic, the Russian revolution, Stalin's regime, the rise of Communism in Europe, the second world war, the Chinese revolution, the rise of Communism in Asia, the cold war, the nuclear arms race, the rise of the military-industrial complex, the wars in Korea, Viet Nam and Central America, the Kim dynasty in North Korea, the occupation of Afghanistan, the ethnic wars in the Balkan, and ultimately even the war on terrorism, all with a total body count I can't even begin to estimate) were a price worth paying for the progress that followed from it - a questionable notion in any case - seems very cynical to me. -
All things considered, the person Dracula was not the natural choice for vampire fiction. Bram Stoker's novel depicts him as sexually magnetic and predatorial, just like the predecessors I mentioned (In fact the character Dracula has more than a little in common with Lord Ruthven). Dracula in real life is never described as sexually aggressive, like many warlords and conquerors were, but only ever murderous and bloodthirsty. Sexual sin would have incompatible with his religious views (he was raised Eastern Orthodox, but he became Roman Catholic for political reasons when he married). Even so, most vampires in folklore were not sexual in nature at all, but rather driven by hunger; physically, they were repulsive. The exception - the Greek Empusae - were female and not aggressive as much as cunning, and would feed when their husband slept. I guess the whole 'Vampires are sexy' thing must come from a modern identification of feeding on the blood with a sexual act. It is a pretty intimate thing to do. Or maybe it's the opposite: maybe feeding on the blood is perceived as a form of date rape, the culmination of a seduction by a cynical, evil assailant who feigns love to get what he really wants.

Frankly I have no idea what the girls would do outside their practical activities (although Mizuki's on a tropical island holiday now, so she's probably swimming and sunbathing a lot...). Shizu... well she's probably either in a tank, regenerating to stretch what life she has left out as long as possible... and the rest of the time, probably trains to hone her skills. She has to - otherwise she and her Zoanoids could face a nasty surprise, considering Chronos and especially Doctor Barcas have to be working day and night to come up with a counter for Griselda and the Libertus. And she probably spends every moment she isn't training or resting with Agito. He's the only thing she cares about, after all. Natsuki... well, she probably draws some consolation from her faith. Although I don't know how Christianity works in Japan. Does Chronos still permit free practice of religion? Valkuria... she's the only one I imagine has a lot of free time. She doesn't need to be in a regeneration tank and physical exertion might do more harm than good. Maybe she reads? She can't really go out in public... Hmmm. She's raised in an upper-class household somewhere in New York state. Maybe she plays the piano or something. Although I doubt there's a piano in Guyot's headquarters. Or maybe she watched television - bloodsports and vulgar series and films, as a rebellion against her upbringing. ...I bet she watches Game of Thrones. None of the other girls would, I don't think, but she is totally different from them, culturally speaking, what with being American and all.
-
Well, he came at the beginning. It's fitting that he would ring the era out. That's not really true, of course... the first modern vampire 'heroes' are Lord Ruthven, Varney the Vampire and Carmilla von Karnstein. You could make a sensational vampire movie about Carmilla, who was a sexy, dominant, predatorial, lesbian vampire countess. Probably HBO material, really. Come to think of it, Lord Ruthven is also a sexual predator. And don't get me started on Varney. ...This guy, on the other hand, seems motivated by patriotism and a desire to protect his people, particularly his family. I bet this movie's gonna suck. Also: Heh.

Still no moustache, I notice. Playing him like a hero, rather than the absolute beast he was. Tsk. Make no mistake: only time makes this possible. Because this is no different from making a hero out of Hitler in some bizarre way. Draculea was a real person, not a fictional character. And an insatiable, merciless, absolutely ruthless brute.
