  1. I think the majority of the reviews online have been able to pinpoint the flaws/"Hate" fairly articulately. The "hate" stems mostly from a few things that stick out like a sore thumb in the movie... For instance... To name a few. But the big two are: - They are trying to "catch up" to Marvel with the "Team Movie Genre" without trying to build any of the structure, and the movie feels bloated AND rushed at the same time for it. This could have been 2 or 3 movies with the plot lines involved in the movie. (This complaint originates before the movie even had it's first trailer... But sadly the movie itself adds fuel to that fire of the criticism because not only did they decide to make a team up movie right away, but jammed so much in it that it basically is a set up movie with some plots thrown around it.) - Marvel/Disney understands their characters and audience better. They try and stick to the formula's that made the character who they are. Snyder doesn't care and does what he wants. There is plenty to be said about "Artistic vision" and the like... But not for 50 year old iconic characters. You can find ways to modernize them, but you can't change them. Now, using Marvel/Disney as a reference against the movie may sound a little fan-boyish or bias... But DC/WB has taken the wrong lessons from Marvels success, but wants the same success... But they are lacking the one thing that Marvel/Disney are doing ( and more recently even Fox): Respect for the Character and Lore, of which they have shown near zero for in the two movies they have for this universe so far. Sure they have USED lore... But with no respect for it. But don't get me wrong, people think a 5 out of 10 means it's a BAD, TERRIBLE NO GOOD MOVIE... When in actuality, it means more along the lines of "Meh, it's average. Good and bad, but nothing great etc...". We've all come to expect different things out of rating systems, and it's kind of sad that everyone thinks anything below a 6 or a 7 is pure garbage. And of course, there was no question that it would make a bunch of money... at first. But whether it has the staying power is the question. This is one of those movies that could possibly have scored a bit higher if there already had not been something superior doing the same thing, only better... But we do. And they have 13+ movies and 4+ CONNECTED tv shows that are ALL positively reviewed ( Thor 2 (66%) and the Hulk (67%) are the lowest)... While DC has 2 out with negative scores and 2 more coming... One that is getting re-shoots no doubt because of BvS's dismal reviews (Suicide Squad). And say what you will about Christopher Nolan's Batman films... But they were not "Comic book" movies. Sure he used a comic book character, but he made him for the real world. It worked for that series, but it doesn't work for a world with Superman and Wonder Woman. So yeah, I think all the "hate" is pretty well deserved and understandable. Was it still entertaining? Sure. Was it a good superhero movie that respected the lore, and who the characters are? ( or even respect the current movie industry?) Nope.

  3. Agreed. Though DC/WB has had issues with doing crappy movies with their characters, the current trend set by Marvel/Disney and partially Fox ( the X franchise to be precise) has shown a much better way to do things. However, I believe that the execs at DC/WB have no faith in both the current trend and it seems their own IP's... And want to rush out their combined team movie before the trend fades and they can't make a billion dollars off of one movie... And as such, they try and do a movie that utilizes parts from two of its most overrated, but famous story lines... But doesn't go full in with either and shoehorns both into a set up movie... And then give that idea to a creative team that preemptively almost ruined one of the two main characters in the first place. And it's really not any of the actors, except jessie Eisenberg, who are the problem. I mean sure, Henry Cavill needs to smile more as Superman, instead of being so down all the time... but Ben Affleck's Batman was pretty good, and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman was surprisingly so... But the plot and the script just doesn't cut it for this kind of movie. And it's funny, because they have done all these characters before, and despite being animated, they were much more believable as characters.
  4. Sooo... It's out.
  5. So, Daredevil Season 2 has dropped on Netflix. Thoughts? I just finished it this morning due to having to work all weekend. Bring on Luke Cage and Iron Fist! ...and possibly a Punisher series now that we know how great he was.
  6. Well, considering there is a "Truce" now... I am guessing that if Agito is actually after the Zoacrystals of the rogue Zoalords... It might be to bait Apollyon. His ego and plans took a big hit after Sho defeated him, so I doubt him being there has anything to do with a power grab for himself. Essentially I figure that while Sho and Aptom hunted for Guyot, Agito and his forces hunted the rogue Zoalords. Especially since it's not hard to believe that Agito couldn't take 2 Zoalords, when he took on 3 and was winning fairly easily. It is all guess work though... I want to believe that Agito has changed. I didn't really like his one sided greedy agenda before.
  7. I always figured Guyver would work in a few ways in a game... - Hack and slash game - Like Dynasty Warriors or like Transformers: Devastation ( also by Platinum Games). I say TF:D simply because there is less overall enemies on screen, which would be a bit more accurate to the way the Guyver fights. 2-3 Zoanoids at a time, rather than 5-10+ like in Dynasty Warriors games. - Turn based Strategy RPG - Like Super Robot Wars, Shining Force and others. While Guyver may not be quite big enough for it's own game, it would be cool to see it including in a game with other like series. But it's a great way to have a lot of different enemies, without worrying about scale and such. Would make using thing like the Draglord and Gigantic Exceed even easier. I think essentially, as long as normal enemy units died fairly easily, since the Guyvers can really tear through normal Zoanoids easily, and a lot of Hypers still don't give them much trouble... I would be mostly ok with it.
  8. Yeah. This seems more like that Capcom came to them to do this, as they were planning a series called "World Warrior"
  9. G Gundam worse than Destiny and ZZ? Ouch.
  10. I believe he mentioned that he was planning on "meeting" with Guyver 1, but Guyot was his priority. And with Guyot getting away, Apollyon decided to leave. Which Sho didn't like, but Apollyon got away. I could only guess what Apollon would want to meet with Sho for. Perhaps it could be in regards to Apollon's overall goal. There is one thing that has caught my attention recently. I saw an untranslated chapter online featuring a blank faced Archanfel living with the Segawa's in a small house. I also remember seeing Apollon appearing with Sho's giant severed hand, and Archanfel poking his head out of a window to see what's going on. My question is why are the Segawa's living in a house in with Archanfel in the first place? Apollyon kidnapped them during Guyots attack on the mansion. It seems whatever happened to Archanphel after reviving Imakarum has affected him even more, and he needs to eat and live like a human, rather than just hibernating like he has done in the past. And I doubt Archanphel can cook very well. So Apollyon kidnapped two people he knows that could take care of him ( assuming he is who the majority of us think he is)... possibly also because he will require Guyver 1's help at some point and they have a double purpose as helpers and leverage on Sho. As for why the Exceed Hand was there... Apollyon used Li Yentsui's ability to cut Sho's hand off after Sho had grabbed him, and teleported away with it. It kind of fell and shook the house as they were eating.

  12. They have done re-releases in the past for hugely popular characters... Like Link and Samus. But I doubt Guyver 1 will get one. Those two sold out incredibly fast. Guyver 1 is still available after such a time, and there are so many Figma's being released every year, I am sure his days are past. Unless they do an "Image Head" version of the Figma like they did for the Bio Fighter collection... I'd buy that. And I doubt we will see any Zoanoids. Figma tends to be the major named characters... At best, we might see Aptom or Murakami proto-zoalord form. And since they also do not tend to make HUGE characters into figmas, I doubt we'll see a full Zoalord or Gigantic ( especially since the Bio Fighter Gigantic figure is in proper scale with the Figma) Don't get me wrong, the president of Max Factory, Max Watanabe has been a long time Guyver fan ( thus his interview with Takaya in the newest book), so he might be trying to support his long time friend... But If the figures don't sell... There isn't much he can do about it. Unless Guyver gets a big push in Japan again... Somehow... But after the 2005 TV series, I kind of doubt that. I really hate that I have to think this way. As a fan I'd love more Guyver merchandise... But I am too realistic. This release is probably just another "Oh hey another anniversary of my friends series. Let's make some stuff for him."
  13. It's basically Hollywood Execs always taking the wrong lessons from successful movies. This lesson is "Nostalgia will sell anything! Even if it isn't quite the same!" They basically looked at what the current movie demographic is: People in their late 20's to mid 30's. They then look back at what was popular back then, and start thinking of what they can bring back. The usual problem: What they bring back, is usually changed or modified in a way that doesn't capture what made the original so good. (case in point with Ghostbusters here). The newest one we are worried about is what happened with Deadpool. What they should take from the movie is: "Movies that pay tribute the original character rather than try and change them, can make people happy" What they will take from it: OMG WE CAN MAKE R RATED NOSTALGIA MOVIES! LET'S MAKE 20! RIGHT NOW! I DON'T CARE WHAT THE SUBJECT IS!
  14. A little too over the top on the forced humor IMO. This one seems to be trying to be what Ghostbusters 2 tried harder to do... Be too much of a comedy rather than a movie about ghosts and ghostbusting... And this trailer shows they even go farther. The original is just a great movie in that the humor is very subtle in most cases and it usually played off more seriously. I mean, some of the things they say ( especially Egon) sound funny, but it all comes off as serious to the person who said it. I was never against an all female cast. I understand that as soon as you throw a mixed sex team in an adultish movie, two of them are going to end up in a relationship by the end of it and ruin the team dynamic (Unless one of the members of this team was a gay male...) But they are reaching very low with the stereotypes on this cast, and it certainly is not helping. I was kind of hoping that maybe. Just MAYBE, they could have done something at least in the same tone as the original... But this trailer clearly shows that they are not.
  15. Nope for both. This movie seems to be based on the character from the new Street Fighter 5 as seen in the link below. http://streetfighter.com/characters/ The girl is Laura, who is new to Street Fighter in 5, and Nash is "Charlie Nash", who is Guile's best friend, and was introduced in the Street Fighter Alpha series, which Guile was not originally part of. Charlie was the U.S. translation error name and Nash was the original Japanese name. Apparently he is the one who actually taught Guile the moves that they share. Much like his appearence in Street Fighter 5, this seems to be a revived version of Nash, who seems to have been killed by Bison in the past.
  16. The Figma is a lot sturdier as a figure. You have to realize that the Bio-Fighter collection figures were low run, early figures for Max Factory. They didn't know exactly what they were doing, and unfortunately in trying to make them super posable, they made them a bit fragile. However, now that the Figma line is HUGE and popular, their techniques in creating figures have also greatly improved. You really should not have any worries about quality control on these ones. Max Factory knows what they are doing now.
  17. Brought to you by the same creative team that gave us Assassin's Fist!
  18. Considering that is Cloud Gate in the picture ( as well as the two smaller buildings with the destroyed roof's), and the black hole in up in the sky, I believe they are referencing the Dragonlord and Gigantic Exceed fight, which they were probably still watching from afar after they fled the building. As for the chapter itself... I had figured that it was the black hole that was being used to get rid of the super cell, so it's always nice to have a guess come true. Shame that it seems we didn't get much in the way of plot advancement, but I guess they did need to explain how he survived the super cell. Perhaps next month then.
  19. English is clearly not their main language, nor did they even use the "official" names from the most recent sources. I was going to buy it as a joke just to see how bad it was... But there was a preview available... And nope. I mean "Edward Lister"?
  20. Most certainly. Since, like the Enzyme 2 fight, once Sho lost consciousness, the Guyver itself would have taken over, and would have been much more brutal and smarter in how it would have fought Enzyme. I would also say that the remaining members of Team 5 would have had to retreat or they would probably still have been killed by the Guyver. I mean, the Bio-Creature still attacked Enzyme without the control medal. Sure, being down an arm, damaged megasmasher and having no high frequency swords would have handicapped it... But it still had it's head beam, gravity orb/pressure cannon and sonic orbs. All 3 when used in the right way could have caused some damage... And they would have still felt pain. The berserk Guyver would not, and all those wounds it currently had, would no longer be bothering it. Plus, even Sho kind of noticed that despite the damage, the chest plate was already starting to heal... And as we heard from the scientist, the blood loses its potency after coming in contact with the air. So it wouldn't have stayed potent while remaining on the armor for long, which would allow the armor to start healing. And assuming Guyver 1 defeated enzyme, I doubt guyver 3 would have helped at all... unless team 5 was in a position where they might locate his position. I think at that time he would have still remained and hoping his plan was still able to continue. Thank you very much for the answers! I really appreciate it! Do you think Sho died when the control medal was ripped out, or do you think he died when he was dissolved by Enzyme's corrosive blood? I still like to think Sho died after having his control medal extracted. He had suffered enough from that brutal mauling by Enzyme. I don't know if pulling the control medal outright killed him, but the bio-creature without the control medal would have eaten him alive. So I would guess it was after the control medal was ripped out, but before the creature attacked Enzyme.

  22. That's classified... ... Oh wait, that's wrong. That's not how we do it... No comment ...You know what, we have no right to really do that anymore... Years of inactivity has made being an ass about any spoilers kind of wrong.. Warrior Guyver 4 is going through a redesign. Rest assured that it's not a 100% complete unit redesign, but he is being modified. We're just keeping it under wraps until all the content regarding him is done. And that goes for any other "Classfied" data files you may find. We've basically looked through our entire cast and made tweaks and changes where we thought out some things better now that we know more about the official content, as well as being older and slightly wiser.
  23. Another batch of pictures has been uploaded!
  24. The Guyver when active replaces and turns off organs within the host body. Considering the Guyver armours original purpose which is to command and control a spaceship. It wouldn't be a far leap to say part of that is to act as a safety net if the ship suffers a breach. I don't think the Guyver would have any trouble in space or underwater. I would agree, with one addition: The Guyver most likely could not indefinitely survive, but certainly survive for a limited time. Agito has shown a few times to be in places where oxygen could be limited, underground and underwater, and spent more time in them than a normal human could survive without breathing... but we do know that the Guyver does breathe, if only once and a while. So it probably stores the required oxygen and breathes when required, but is certainly more efficient at using the oxygen it stores.
  25. Matt Bellamy replied to Gazham's topic in Guyver
That is what we are hopefully assuming, yes.
