Unlicensed or not, I think they look great. It would be a good opportunity for those who can't get their hands on the old SD guyver figure. (which doesn't look as nice as I remembered back in the day)

I'm a bit confused as to why the destruction of a train line seems to prevent the Zoalords from escaping when they have previously shown teleportation abilities, but oh well, I haven't read any Guyver for 3 months and it's picking up which is good. I would think that the rebel Zoalords would be low on Agito's priority list since they could potentially help disrupt what the rest of Cronos are doing to his favour. I was almost hoping that it was Galenos attacking the base. Wonder what he's up to.

Very odd that they gave it enough special treatment to give it a steelbook! looks nice, now hopefully Dark Hero gets similar treatment and comes out in English too.

Well this has certainly been the most interesting chapter in a long time, despite being only about 4 pages of new content. Almost seems like a fan parody strip, which I feel like is something Takaya enjoys doing a lot. I do have to wonder exactly where the games console came from - unless Apollon has been making multiple trips to Silha to get Tetsuro and Mizuki's stuff

I have a huge amount of (maybe morbid?) curiosity for this. I don't have a problem with ScarJo being in it, i'm a bit of a fan of hers, but I do think it will be strange to hear people calling her "Kusanagi". Unless they change her name, which I imagine would never go down well with anyone. I'd also have to disagree on it being "quintessentially Japanese". I think part of the reason why the first film was so successful was because of how accessible it is to people other than anime fans. Some aspects are Japanese and will probably get lost in Westernization, but I think with an open mind this may not turn out TOO bad. But maybe I'll end up eating my words. I probably will.

Also I'm digging the updated outfit design for Vegeta from what I can see of it Got this from Kanzenshuu.com: Earth is now at peace—— but then, the remnants of Freeza’s forces, Sorbet and Tagoma, attack. Their objective is to bring Freeza back from the dead with the Dragon Balls. And so, the worst wish in the history of the universe is granted, and “Fâ€, plotting his revenge against the Saiyans, is revived at last…!! I'm guessing those two guys at the bottom are Sorbet and Tagoma. Good to see the food puns are here to stay!

Well at least Takaya seems to have realized that flashback chapters aren't necessary anymore. If we waited 3 months for a flashback chapter that would just be awful.

It's only fair for me to update everyone that I have been incredibly busy these past few months and haven't had a chance to work on volume 30. I might be able to get it done around christmas time when I'm less busy, but I suppose if anyone wanted to volunteer to do it before then they would be welcome to. Sorry guys. Can't believe I haven't posted on here since September.

Woah, this is really unexpected!! Pretty shocked they would have even considered releasing this. Gotta admit the suit is nice to see in HD. I would absolutely love it if Dark Hero got this same treatment, I would 100% buy it. I assume whatever company is doing this would potentially be able to get the same rights for the sequel.

Heh, looks very uncomfortable and the back is a little unsightly. Must be a different one to the costume that was used to promote the TV series, which makes me wonder how many of these guyver costumes exist in Japan.

He could potentially add a bunch of new pages - after all, wasn't this volume particularly bad with the sub 12-page chapters?

Whereabouts in London are you? I'm tight on money at the moment, these past couple weeks have been a doozey especially, but I have always been interested in getting the Viz versions of Guyver. Thing is, I'm looking at ebay, and have found these books for £30+. I can't afford that but if that is what these things are selling for I would not be willing to rob you of a better sale. I would have thought around ~£10ish each would be a fair price. At any rate, if you can't sell these by the end of the summer time, I might be interested.

Is Guyot spelt "Guyot" in the master file? Because it's been a while since I watched the tv series but i remember them pronouncing it "Geeoh" or something odd like that.

Dead Zone, Tree of Might and Fusion Reborn are great!!! I think I enjoyed Bardock when I watched it but it's been so long since I saw it. Waferdanos, I was also pretty hot on the Super Saiyan God design, I loved the slimmed down look they gave Goku, so I do hope it shows up in this next film

While it is nice that DBZ is still alive and kicking, I am skeptical towards how good this movie will be. I thought BoG was pretty bad - really awkwardly paced and a bit silly really. But to be honest this is what a lot of DBZ films suffer from. I tend to just stick to loving the tv series. Which reminds me that I'm a few weeks behind Kai. I am really interested to see who this person is that someone wants to revive though and whether it's someone from the tv series.

Very nice double page spread and scenario in this chapter with the building under construction . This chase would be incredible to see animated.

Are Agito and Shizu a couple? I don't think that's ever been established. I doubt Agito sees her like that. Agito cares for her I'm sure, but Shizu looks at Agito more as a master and Agito to Shizu as a battle-reliable partner

Something that bothers me about this figure that was also a problem with the BFC- is that extra bit under the Megasmasher plates necessary? I know it gives the illusion that also the top two abs are moving along with the rest of the upper torso, but could they simply have just left that extra bit out? Have it articulate right beneath the smasher? I remember right around the time the BFC line was in full swing a lot of people were making fan art of Guyver 1 using the BFC model as a reference and erroneously gave him another set of "half-abs". I tried to photoshop it out and then it just makes the top two abs look way too long. I wonder why they couldn't either bring the megasmasher plates down/make them larger, or fix the proportions of the abs.

I assume it was my comment about that interesting image you posted of Sean and Sho in the other thread that sparked you to ask this? What I mean by "looks like Takaya's style" is the line quality, the amount of subtelty used in the cross hatching to suggest hape/form (see: Guyver's shoulder pads), the angles of all the features of the Guyver's helmet, the intensity/suggestion of tendrils under the Guyver armour, the toning of shiny orb-like objects, the proportions (!! this is a big one)... Of course, Takaya's human characters are also done in a very unique, identifiable way. It's definitely changed in the last 30 years if you look back at his earlier works, but proportions play a big part in identifying this aspect of his work. Yuki hit the nail on the head about the concise and clear nature of his drawn action. Towards the end of my time spent reading Naruto, I remember barely being able to tell what was going on in the fights. Takaya's fights may be quite short and contain few actions by either adversary, but at least you will always know what the other is doing/has done.
