  1. Balcus told shin that the material that composed the medal wasn't like anything they could find on earth, and couldn't replicate it. I think he was talking about apollyons armor being made of the same metal the control medal was. I can totally see people dying from old age. It's a universal constant. Just like dying. It's natural. It happens. Who's to say that the guyvers regenative capabilities are even standard? That could be another unique ability to a human Guyver like all its weapons. (I doubt it considering the basic nature of the biobooster organism.) But the advent weren't immortal, dont even know of they are long lived, Just a scientist race or races that formed a coalition that explored genetic mutations as weapons.
  2. I wonder if it's like a a computer (alky) receiving a shutdown order for hidden programing in that attack. His body shuts down, but his strength of will is what keeps him Awake and he exerts himself so much he passes out. Not so much a energy deal, but a psychological effect that has a physical trigger. With a unit, perhaps he can break that passive psychic command or hidden code?
  3. Oh sully, I didn't realize you had posted. Sorry! (Didn't notice a new page started!) I can't contest there werent more than one unit room, far as I know they never said specifically if there was or not. But in the book where sho and agito explored the relic, they never came across more units, nor did sho become aware of more he connected with the ship. You'd think he'd notice. He had the time. Or when chronus explored the dead ship in arizona, they must of discovered the location of the unit room and used that info for the relic at relics point. They sent Zoanoids straight in a beeline for the unit room. Keep in mind that they were dying pretty fast and couldn't of had time to wander blindly. As for dark hero... they made the unit a straight killer that Sean struggled with. And his megasmasher never scratched that ship neither. The movie was enjoyable but there are too many inconsistencies that Americans thru in there just to make it look cool or for. Shock factor. Heh, after the first American movie, I bet takaya was just overjoyed it was as close as it was!
  4. I don't think I agree with the Guyver prolonging life. No evidence of that either. We see sho grow older, tho that could just be the art style changing, but he still looks a little older than mizuki a year or so later. But I don't think having a unit slows your aging. The only way I would accept that, (a) is if the Guyver heals the aged cells once the armor or is active, but aging is natural, and not an injury, so would the unit see it as something to heal? Or (b) the control medal is yanked out and the body is regrown to the template when the host first bonded to the unit. I read a lot of fanfic where sho Guyver is immortal or forever young. I don't buy it. And I 100 percent agree with the unit being able to be grown, but two issues need to be addressed. The first is the metal for the medal. (Lol). Not able to grow that, so you would need supplies aboard ship, so the number of units is limited. And the second is harder. The bioboster organism is dangerous and aggressive, only controlled by the medal. So having raw bioboster on board would have to be contained or risk contaminating the ship. Then the crew. Growing more biobooster is relatively simple, it's a replicating organism, but keeping samples in check would be tricky. Whew! The was a long post! Gomen!
  5. Mostly because it wasn't military equipment, it was their version of a hazmat suit. Not much chance of dying before you get to a dangerous environment. Only 3 Units a ship, so I doubt the all the Uranus on the ship were equipped.
  6. Haha! Or die trying. Shos gotten crafty in his fights. So can a unit use a remover? It takes a large amount of bioenergy, a zoalord has enough, but they are friggen batteries. As for the relic saving the guyvers, if that were true then it would've saved their bodies, or even the body leftovers that the relic could of saved. Instead, they got turned to ash and then the relic bonded to shos medal.
  7. Honestly tho, both g1 and g3 control medal survived 3 megasmasher cells when alky redirected their attack, and even tho the bodies where turned to ash, the control medal survived it, and regrew their bodies. Thats gotta be more powerful than a nuke. I'm with the other guy, I bet the Guyver system monitors the host and intervenes when your at deaths door. No proof, but just seems really cool. And plus, the American movies aren't exactly... reliable.
  8. It could be that this attack was authorized by Balcus and shin. They were already suspecting the rogues.
  9. Hey all, I'm not sure Agito knew about the regenerative properties of that extent. He only suspected in the 2005 series. Its feasible he was just watching the fight to discover the abilities if the enzyme 1, once again using Sho as cannon fodder to get what he wants. I don't believe that the entire fight was an elaborate ploy to smuggle Sho in the building. I honestly think he was making the best of the hand he was dealt.
  10. I doubt anybody'll be upset with you bbdude. Bad busy months are within reason and should honestly be expected. Heck, i been running nonstop for a few months myself i can't even remember which volume i ordered last. Besides, you're not the type to simply blow off responsibilities, so if your taking longer than usual, its cause its for a good reason. No worries.
  11. Slow it may be, but when it picks up, it really gets going. I'm only worried that the hiatus's will only grow in length till everyone gets fed up.
  12. That reminds me too much like xmen for comfort.
  13. Ironically, back in the 60s, Spiderman kept saying that he had the strength of ten men, the endurance of ten men, the speed of ten men,etc etc etc. its funny how much things changed since then.
  14. While each universe may get a power change, i doubt it would be anywhere near Gregore to hulk. If anything, Gregore to Spiderman would be the highest. And that is still far fetched. As for vs the extraterritorial threats and characters? Simple, they CAN'T contend with them. They would only have the edge against what they know and study. As for magic, magic characters have been beaten by non magic characters, so its nit unthinkable that cronus can't handle them, just a little tricky.
  15. I think that zoanoids would be much more powerful in marvel. They would have access to much more scientific break throughs, more generic samples on hand. And they would have access to hydra and aim and they can replicate most abilities. Through that in with cronus know how and competency.... Tough zoanoids. Probably even cause an experienced Guyver lots of problems.
  16. Maybe I'm just backwards. but i would hold those with more unique powers with more reverence than i would someone who could be duplicated. It makes them special like precious metals are.
  17. I wonder why the lost numbers were so looked down on then. Their abilities make them scary.
  18. The animes took a lot of liberties with the characters and story. Going by the manga alone, the only zoaformed human we actually see that shows any extra human ability was Guyot and he is a Zoalord. Aptom don't count. The point he is at now? He is simply a zoaform despite whatever way he looks. He's no longer human. Its a permanently passive ability. Point in case, Alky killed him at relics point while Aptom was still human. Didn't really faze Aptom too much. In the ova in the first episode, all the zoanoids as humans had increased jumping ability when they were looking for the units. In the 2005 series, like v Guyver said, noskluv and myuzulmee(however its spelled) kept up with Sho as Guyver when he ran from then in that diner. technically the Libertus aren't hypers, correct? They are considered lost numbers? I can't recall any zoanoid showing extra abilities as a human in the manga, but that may be just cause i can't remember it. Lol!
  19. unfortunately we don't get to see their reactions yet (Sho and Apollyon) so its a good chance they weren't fooled. Unless the unus have a secret ability of duplicating Guyots bio signature.
  20. While i despise the bayformers for destroying any hope of the current generation ever giving gen 1 an honest chance. My only real complaint about the 4th movie was prime not being very prime, and Grimlock not being Grimlock, and ugly.
  21. It'll be a new wave of weapon merchants. Once the science goes public our close enough, and it will happen with the down fall of cronus. Zoanoids will be the new to dollar in weapon dealings.
  22. That prophecy was the stupidest thing. The galaxy was full of Jedi. "light". and very little sith. "dark". So what did they think was going to happen when they bring balance to the force?!?? Everybody gets along? Bringing balance means equaling both sides out evenly. So if the Jedi die off or if the sith population majorly increases, either way.. Bad!!! Haha! And being a Jedi isn't a born into thing. Someone isn't Jedi just because they are force sensitive, being a Jedi means that your are a part of the.... Organization. It's a choice. And there were plenty of dark Jedi in the eu. Not just sith. it's a subtle difference.
  23. Lucas was making drafts as soon as return of the Jedi was finished. J.J and actually have access to those drafts but they are nit subjugated to follow them. Which i think was really smart. Those drafts were made relatively early, do they might not be screwed up, but if they were, the ep 7 crew isn't bound legally to follow them. And Jupiter? Those are fighting words to every star wars fan our there. Regardless of which Trilogy they like. It's like chocolate, you always want more.
  24. Ok so it wasn't his ankle that got hurt. Turns out he broke his leg filming a scene. He'll be out for 8 weeks, and filming will continue on as planned with no pauses.
  25. I could not help but see Hudson everyone Bill Paxton speaks in the movie. It was great!
