So, who here has learnt or is learning Japanese? Any advice for a new starter? I think audio books for speaking, something I could listen to during the day. Or is in not so simple?

This is something I've noticed in several animes, predominantly in the various Gundam series and/or other mechas. That is, whenever the Middle East is portrayed, the natives of the land are seen as nothing more than a bunch of resistance fighters. They're also portrayed in a Western like manner though. Fighting alongside women, treating everyone with respect and dignity, and everyone has equality. It's like they're really nothing more than westerners who just so happen to be in the Middle East during the conflict. Ok in a surprising move the title of the sequel to Ridley Scott's Prometheus will be called Alien: Paradise Lost. While not much is known about the plot yet this simple change does raise a few question. And how will this effect Neill Blomkamp’s Alien movie?

Does anyone have LEGO? I used to buy them in 1996-1998. In 1998 I was under strong impression from the game Carmageddon 2 and create a number of themed cars. In order to make realistic damage I used a lot of small pieces in some cars. Collisions was great, usually you never know which of the cars will be wasted first. I played with my brother a lot. Ok so next year we are getting a prequel to the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Synopsis: Prequel about teenage Leatherface who escapes from a mental hospital with three other inmates, kidnaps a young nurse and takes her on a road trip from hell. Along the way, they are pursued by an equally deranged lawman out for revenge. Nice to see my favorite slasher back not only in MKX but also with a new movie next year. The Slasher movie era started with him and in these twilight years of the genera he's the only one still kicking around which is rather fitting. Seems like there was a small leak, and Fox just decided to release the trailer anyway! I don't know about everyone else... But at the time, the first Independence Day movie was minblowing in that there had not been a humans vs aliens movie like it at the time. i went to see it in the theaters 6 times. I highly doubt this one will have the same impact as the first, as there have been a lot of big spectacle movies since then, but I'll still go see it, if only because of the first movie.

Ok guys / gals... Question for you, I know not everyone is a Star Wars fan, but for those that are like me who are determined to avoid any news on it that will spoil the story where are you going to go to avoid this but still be kept interested in things? So far even when driving my car to work I've to switch radio channels when the news comes on and they get to "Last Nights...." Facebook is pretty much going to be avoided as much as possible between now and Friday night when I see the movie. So what are you avoiding plans between now and the point you plan to watch the movie?

Trailer dropped a few days ago, but have been a bit busy. I... Kind of like what I am seeing. I was someone who enjoyed the first movie overall. Sure, had lots of flaws, but was still pretty entertaining... Plus I kind of liked the way the Turtles actually looked.

A series on youtube that takes an in depth look into the original Warcraft history/lore and the altered history/lore that Blizzard used for WoW. It exposes some inconsistency within the story. You'll see some of the old history that was changed for the Expansion sets for WoW as well as altering of creature statuses. What's your relationship like with your sibling/siblings? I have a brother who is 19 and a sister who is 17 years old. We share the same mother, but I have a different biological father than they do. My brother and I are on good terms, but don't really have much to do with one another. You could say we lead different lives. My sister and I are pretty close. She comes over and spends time with me or my wife. We do a lot of things. Hang out, go to the movies. Stuff like that. What about you?

New trailer! New discussion! Definitely a bit better than the last teaser... Still not 100% sold, but at least looks like it could be decent. The few quick shots of Dr. Doom have me slightly worried, and the one line "We should help people" etc... seemed a bit too cheesy/not needed. Any of you watching this? Its a very good show. I've yet to see the 5th season. But it gets better and better all of the time.

So whats your old favorite horror movie? For me its Eaten Alive 1977. Its kind of a sister movie the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Its slasher is a man called Judd who runs an out of the way bayou motel. He seems like an eccentric but nice guy but he has outbursts of psychotic rage which lead him to murder people with a scythe. However if you find this aspect of the hotel disturbing have no fear. For the motel has a very effective complaints department in the form of a huge man-eating crocodile!
