Guyver

Hello, I'm new here but not to guyver. I have just recently been trying to catch up with the guyver manga but i don't really know where i stand right now. The farthest i got was when Testuro and Mizuki were saved on the island of silha by that one zoanoid. I read some of the manga from online sites and some from here. Does the manga go on to explain how sho and aptom merge or how they figured this out? Was there anything in the manga that explained the fight between guyver 1 and guyver 3? and what's happened to guyver II F. I'm sorry if there are other posts like this one but i'm just a little confused right now. if anyone could just fill me in, that'd be great

Since Aptom can be worn as a second skin over the Guyver does anyone think it would be possible for Sho to call upon and wear the Gigantic armor while donning Aptom? Or would Aptom have to be worn over the Gigantic armor? What kind of abilities do you think Guyver Gigantic would gain with Aptom equipped also?

I have always been amazed by zoacrystals. I have always been amazed at how they give the zoalords their god like power, god like strength, telepathic mind abilites, immunity to disease, and allows them to keep their youth. Pretty much makes them like a deity. What I do wonder is how Archenphel is able to make one and give it Barcas 400 years ago while they worked on Cronos and Optimization technology. Perhaps Archenphel took it from his own body, I don't know. I understand according to Archenphel that Zoalords are hard to replace. So does that mean that Zoacrystal's cloned exactly from Archenphel's Zoacrystl must be hard to grow in a tube maybe? or take years to grow …

Long time fan of the series and I was just wondering if I pre-order the volumes will I get a physical copy? I'm assuming it'll be in Japanese if so. Or would I just get access to translated scans here? Or both? Sorry if this question was answered in one of the pinned topics.

Wikipedia article on Bio-Booster Armor Guyver says that since 2009 its been published in Monthly Young Ace, which is a hybrid Shonen/Seinen mag. Yet, all reliable sources say that Guyver has been continuously published in Monthly Shonen Ace since 2002. I know that for a while there was a debate on Wikipedia as to whether or not Guyver is a shonen manga or a shonen/seinen hybrid, like Evangelon and the last two arcs of Jo Jo's Bizarre Adventure became. So does anyone know if Wikipedia's edit on where Guyver chapters are published is right or wrong? I believe based on dedicated manga sources that Guyver is to date published in Shonen Ace monthly.

I wonder how huge and devastating of a fight would go with Guyver Gigantic against Thor. We know Thor is the son of Odin and has fought enemies stronger in Marvel comics. I think Thor would rival that fight with Imakarum. There'd be a lot destruction and I'm sure the Guyver Gigantic would take a lot of damage like the fight with Friedrick Purgstal ( Thor is stronger than Friedrick...both energy and physically as the pagan Thunder God.) but it would be a very interesting battle that I would like to see.

So I am fairly new here, as a member. Just out of curiosity, if I order the Guyver chapters, do I get them translated to English?

I was wondering if there were more recent images of Shizu from the manga that could be suitable for use as an avatar at another site. I tried to use the one that I used here, but it didn't work so well. I'm leaning towards the image of her used in the "cast of characters" page from when Guyver is published in Shonen Ace/Compilation volumes (Cast of Characters for Volume 16 onwards to present), or any newer image of Shizu that's similar. I'd like to ask a couple of questions to get theories on them. There was some discussion in another topic about the aliens from Aliens and their acidic blood vs Guyvers, and I've always wondered that since in the Twilight Saga that vampire venom is supposed to be pretty acidic, what effect could it have on a Guyver or a zoanoid? I know that if intro'd into a zoanoid, it'd probably kill them. In Twilight, vampires and vampire hybrids have the ability to produce this venom. i've been wondering for a while what these 2 red little orbs are at the base of guyver's head spike are? guyver3 is the only guyver that doesn't have them. even guyver0 has them. at first i thought they were antennea so they could communicate telepathically with one another, but it's not as the lumps on their backs are used for communication and for calling the unit through the boost dimension. i've checked through some of the material and data files that i have and nothing makes any reference to them. anyone have any idea what they are and if they serve any purpose? could takaya sensei be waiting to surprise everyone with a hidden ability the guyvers have and …

What was the whole story on Malmot? We know he was a failed zoanoid and that he stole the Guyver units from Chronos, but how did this all occur? What was the lead up? How was a test type like Malmot able to even pull of such a feat? We know Agito was involved somehow, but how much? Something as precious as the Guyver units should have been under the most tightest of security measures. For now we can only assume, but I would really like to hear the Advocacy's opinion on this matter.

I noticed Malmot at the beginning of guyver, who was running away with the Guyver Units, he looked liked his skin had fallen off his muscles and his white fur had fallen out. Perhaps his body was breaking down because he was on his last few days? What would cause a test subject to die from their unstable optimizations? Examples being to my questions on test subject optimization. Liver, heart, kidney, etc. random organ failure. Abnormal cancer. Just curious on how they die within a week or less.

Question - Will he ever get his free will back, how can this be achieved? Here's my idea which involves more questions. If he were to equip a Guyver, would that then free him from Alcanfel's mind control? Assuming he is being (controlled). Is the remover still around? Would Guyver III make that sacrifice? Or, would the remover work on Guyver II-F's prototype control medal? Murakami is no stranger to prototype powers on the clock.

I've wondered what those bulges on their heads are. They remind me of like compound eyes. I assumed that they're some type of vision/sensory instrument. But if they're supposed to be eyes, are they compound eyes, or do they see in like infra-red or something other than conventional vision? This also concerns a feature from one of my characters in my fan fic, because if the Enzyme II/III head things are eyes or some similar sensor, my character also has them, though they're usually buried under a veil of hair, but they can see in infra-red, silhouettes, serve as motion detectors/field disturbance detectors, and have elements that emit a glow when he wants/needs them…

This is a tricky subject. So recently I have seen some rather excellent Guyver themed works that are NSFW type things. We have generally had a policy of no adult material on the site but let's face it, Guyver is semi- adult i its theme anyway so it's been difficult at times to figure out where the line is drawn.
