  1. It's funny how one little finger can hurt luffy. I see this gap differently. That simultaneously waiting for the crews to emerge from their seclusion, the story will focus on the other characters like Garp, Dragon and all the other pirates as well as the marines. I mean, those other characters can fill up the two year gap with their adventure, similar to that clown and fat lady that were featured in the teaser intro of each chapter (which is sadly missing recently). Perhaps the reverse can be done, that while the main story focuses on the side characters, the teaser will now show the status of the crew members. Regarding Zoro and Sanji, I think Zoro has more advantage in dishing out damage since he uses swords. While Sanji, being more versatile with his footwork, may have difficulty dealing damage compared to that of zoro. I would say that Zoro would be slightly stronger than sanji especially after he took the punishment of Kuma. Besides, Zoro is the first mate, and usually the first mate's strenght is only second to his captains. I'm also afraid that Sanji might come out gay after this. *shudders* Also, aside from Luffy, who else do you think is able to use Hakki. I think Zoro and Sanji might be able to use it. But for non-fighter types like Nami, Ussop and Chopper, it is unlikely.
  2. Ouch, four weeks without One Piece. That's gonna be hard to endure. So are we going to some something different after the 4 weeks? Let's certainly hope so.
  3. Really not suprising seeing that Kishimoto, the author or Naruto, grew up inspired by Dragonball. See, I told you to give it a chance. The later arcs gets intenser and intenser especially after the introduction of Tao Paipai. It's only Dragonball Z that ruined the anime for me with it's constant one episode duration of charging up.
  4. Yes, reading the manga actually does that to you. But in my case, the chasing Sasuke arc ruined the anime for me.
  5. I think there was something wrong with facebook. Having trouble logging on today. I give up. This guy obviously don't listen, or even care at all.
  6. Wow, even though Gai has a goofy character, he is kickass when it comes to ass kicking. As expected of Rock Lee's mentor.
  7. With the nearing end of W and the start of O's in September 5, I'm compelled to create a page for O's to fit the Kamen rider series template. But I'm currently having difficulty because the efforts that I have applied are taking its toll on me. I feel lazy and unmotivated to continue on with this. It is frustrating especially when I look at the work that I have done to the W page, it looks so incomplete. And I don't want to start another page when I still have one pending page to finish. Not to mention that I have only watched a single episode of W. I'd like to get suggestions that can be made for the current predicament. I'm shallow, so words of encouragement would sound very nice at the moment.
  8. Is it just me, or are the riders starting to evolve into Sentai (design-wise)? Gone are the times when the riders are actually artificial humans rebelling against their evil masters.
  9. Although I don't believe that building a mosque over ground zero is something to build up controversy, I firmly believe that people who brands Muslim as the one responsible for the attacks as a much more inappropriate action. The actions of a few people does not neccessarily mean that they are all alike. Additionally, the Islamic center is not going to be built on ground zero itself, but a few block away from the former site of the World Trade Center. What upsets me about religious issues is not about the actions people would take, but the way they are thinking. It simply shows how narrow minded most people are.
  10. Okay, this is going to be a major spoiler but I need to ask this. What are your thoughts on this?
  11. Yes, tea leaves mostly have a richer flavor compared to tea bags. If you have the time and patience use tea leaves. If not, tea bags gives you the convenience of having tea instantly. In some genuine chinese restaurants, they have a huge menu for choices of tea and they will be the one to prepare it right in front of you. It also requires some special wares, like a small burner, pot etc and they have this specific way of pouring it.
  12. Oh that! And here I though you don't like spoiling yourself. hehehe. I'm still waiting to see how far that goes. Have to wait another week due to this weeks break.

  18. You mean the Tarik? Very popular in Singapore and Malaysia which I also happen to like. It's something like a frothy milk tea.
  19. Nowadays, Iced tea served with Lemon are usually powdered. This is mostly popularized by Nestea's Lemon flavored Ice tea. I'd say that these kind of tea fall under the category of juices. Although I believe that tea should be traditionally served hot, there are new kind of tea brew being developed everyday. At the moment, I can still find some restaurant that serve authentic Milk Tea, that is regular tea served with milk, a brew that has some sort of a bitter sweetness to its flavoring. I don't fancy those bubble tea which is serve as chilled milk tea with tapioca.

  21. Some few more shorts. Two men jogging together Guy 1: I'm a doctor. I jog because I'm HEALTH conscious Guy 2: I'm a thief, I'm WEALTH conscious Sex Object guy 1: You know, my new wife is a sex object! guy 2: Wow! You must have a gorgeous wife! guy 1: Not really, but everytime I wanted sex, she would always object. Canine Police: Why do we call big dogs K-9? Supt: Because if you call them K-10, they wouldn't be dogs anymore Police: what would they be? Supt: A small cat. Heaven and Hell Daughter: Mom, my boyfriend doesn't believe in Heaven or Hell. Mother: Don't worry, marry him and let him taste heaven, leave hell to me. A Husband asked his wife, "Honey, what do you like most in me, my handsome face or my sexy body?" The wife looked at him from head to toe and replied, "honey, I like your sense of humor" A guy picks up a girl for a date Guy: Why are you wearing your belt around your knee? Girl: I promised my Mom that I wouldn't let you touch me below my belt.
  22. That sounds awfully familiar. Didn't I post that in some other thread? hehehe. I intended it to be humorous, who knew that it would be thought provoking.
  23. Although it may not be my place to judge people on how they spell, but I absolutely hate wrong spelling and grammar. On a casual conversation like this, I may be tolerant but on formal conversation I absolutely abhore it. Sure changing light into lite are acceptable vernacular to other people, but not for me. I have a full set of keyboard and I intend to fully utilize it. Using laziness or ease to spell words are absolutely unforgiveable. This is usually the start of degradation. It may be logical to understand why people who have english as their second language are better at speaking them, mainly because they learn the language with a solid foundation using the most correct terms, spelling and grammar. Colloquial terms or "slang" are usually learned later when they already have a firmer grasp of the language. Instant Messaging and Text Message adds to the degradation of the language. With the current trend of how younglings speak, I fear the day that no adult would be able to spell correctly or use the correct grammar. Again, I will not condem the incorrect usage of English while we are discussing things here mainly because we are speaking casually. xep wen u spik lyk dis, then that's a completely different matter. I am merely pointing out that correct English usage should always be used during formal conversation. Just imagine when you are in a job interview and you spell words using slang, what kind of impression do you think this will give the employers? Absolute unprofessionalism.
