Yeah, that's what Godzilla should look like, not a giantisized Velociraptor. I'd like to see the movie pitting Godzilla with the other legendary monsters like Mothra, Biolante and Mecha Godzilla.

As long as Godzilla doesn't look like a dinosaur and reproduce, I'm fine with it. Yesh, Godzilla is supposed to be the good monster, and only wrecks the city out of collateral damange, not actually destroy the city.

I think that "Kamen Rider" and "Sentai" is already an accepted vernacular, in which wiki is already proof of that. Also for the average layman, they wouldn't even know what Sentai or Kamen Rider is, and even if you still translate them to Masked Rider and Super Squadron, they still wouldn't know how to differentiate them. They would just search for giant robot and guy with bug helmet and costume. I'm inclined to think that the debate between using "Kamen Rider" and "Masked Rider" are being done by elitists. There is really no difference.

Somehow, I like this video. A retro game fitted and updated remix. Also, funny lyrics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfSVK7k6Rew

Disclaimer: For those who really admire Sephiporth (from FF7), please do not watch this. This is a hilarious simulation on the daily life of Sephiroth. I really LOLed at this video.

how do you have your tea?(or other hot beverage)
durendal replied to Jess♥'s topic in General 'whatever'.
I too find it strange to have sweetened butter. Usually when I use butter as a spread I'd add some sugar to make it sweet. But butter isn't really something that I would consider healthy. And based on wiki, clotted cream is just well, cream. It's just a different way on how they are prepared. Anyway, another way of enjoying tea is pulling the tea with condensed milk. Pouring the mixture back and forth between two glasses from a height, giving it a thick frothy top. This process cools the boiled tea down to drinking temperature and helps thoroughly mix the tea with the milk. It is also done to give the tea a better flavor. This beverage is also called the tarik. Here's how the finished product looks like: edit: picture didn't show on first post. -

Here's a silly question. Over here, Iced tea is quite popular, especially since it was popularized by nesteas Lemon Ice Tea. When you order a glass of Ice Tea and request to have no ice, do you simply call it tea? About that, do you consider the powdered cold beverage ice tea to be equilavent to the traditional tea? For me, I consider them to be juices. But there are some establishments here that serve ice tea using traditional tea, with a bit of honey. I'm no tea connoisseur, but I occassionaly enjoy a cup or two, without any additives. Just plain tea. I feel that adding sugar, milk or any other additives deprives the tea of its essence and flavour. -

Tea is believed to be antioxidants. So in a way, drinking 2-4 cups of tea a day is considered by many as a healthy habit. -

Too much cola is rather unhealthy, and so is coffee. Well excessive amount of pretty much everything is bad for you. You'll understand that when you get older when it's already too late. -

I don't think Tea is limited to british. Chinese have tea as their staple drink. For me, it really depends on the situation. When dining, we usually have chrysanthemum or Jasmine tea, brewed using the tea leaves. If I fancy having something sweet with my tea, then I would order milk tea. But when at home relaxing, we have tea bags, the most common brand would be lipton, but I would rather have those tea with special flavors found on coffee shops. But during formal occasions, we have this special tea party, wherein special tea leaves (which is really expensive) are used, with a special method on how to prepare using a special pot. This is somewhat similar to the tea ceremony of the Japanese, but not too formal like the Japanese Tea Ceremony. -
I've seen episode 444 of one piece, and I'm not really quite satisfied with what I saw. Looks like they were trying to prolong the episode just to fill the airtime. Of course it isn't that noticeable since its mostly small additional comedic stuff. Episode involves impel down and Blackbeard.

I think I understand where V Guyver is coming from. It is to say that there is a very wide disparity of what is actually being done in the show and how it should be done in reality. I do agree on some points that if the situations of the sentai or riders were put into reality, what they are currently doing will not be effective in any way to defeat the enemy. But of course, we are talking about the genre and its not in any way relevant to how it would work in reality. What I see as a problem would be the sterotypical typecast of the hero that makes them so predictable. The term "Grim and Gritty" is already a stereotype that is present in every media, it is used so much that every character that has such a personality would be labeled as a clone of its predecessor. I was thinking that if they try to reboot the genre, much like how Christopher Nolan rebooted the Batman franchise, perhaps there might be some improvement with the genre. I mean, they could try an experiment with it and see how it goes. You have to admit, adopting the genre into a more realistic setting is kinda interesting.

Double has been shown for pretty much long time now. Since I have not watched it yet I cannot give any much opinion. For any of you guys that does follow double, how does the show fare compared to the previous Heisei Riders. Has it continued to deteriorate or does it have any redeeming qualities after the fiasco that is Kiva? Based on Toku's avatar and sig, I'd say he's pretty much enjoying the show.

Well, what do you expect from Japan's top manga? That's more reason to milk the title. But at least not as blatant at how some american companies does them. Still, I'm avoiding the anime because I don't have the time to download and watch it. And I'm not really fond of fillers. And I've seen some movies of One Piece prior to me reading the manga, and I didn't quite enjoy it.

Well, what renegade said didn't really give up the basic story, just mentioned some story arc that featured a certain character. It didn't say anything like who dies and who lives. Also, might be a spoiler for the last part after the smiley since it deals with the relationship of Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura, which in my point of view isn't really much of a spoiler if you don't watch Naruto.

And surprisingly, the anime is already catching up to the manga. I'm really hoping really hard that they don't end the series pre-maturely like they did the first series. I certainly hope they would respect the author enough to only animate when the manga finishes a story arc, much similar to the way they animated Hunter X Hunter. But the manga is nowhere near the end. It's already in the climax and I'm still waiting to see what will happen on the promised day.

No, no, no. I'm not saying Shanks is siding with the Marines, but rather he would want to keep the status quo of the pirates and marines. I was just guessing that there is a reason why the Marines is the dominant government. Also, regarding Dragon, it's not about helping Luffy, but more on rather giving the finishing blow to the Marines. The situation is already an all out war of Pirates versus Marine, with the addition of revolutionist, the Marines will not stand a chance. All of the important heads of the Marines are gathered there, what would be the most easiest way to crush the marines but to eliminate all the governing bodies at once? Anyway, I do hope that the straw hat crew will be able to catch up to luffy. With the experiences of Luffy, it will be difficult to catch up to him.

Ouch. Believe it or not, I'm playing farmville. No, I still don't have a facebook, I'm playing farmville on another persons account. She let's me manage her farmville. I'm even the highest ranked farmer compared to all the other neighbors if I might add.

Well, whether you like it or not, they have their own destinies. I'm sure Ivankov and Inazuma will return seeing that they are on Dragon's side. You also have to take note of the other straw hat members crew. Anyway, I'm guessing Shanks appearance had something to do with his audience with Whitebeard in the earlier chapters. Perhaps he's siding with the marines? At the current pace, there is a high chance that the Marines be wiped out, since Dragon has not yet appeared. Or maybe that Shanks knows something that the marines are hiding from everyone else. I'm guessing with the current state Luffy is in, he'll be getting more emotionally crushed with what Shanks will be doing. I don't know, the silliness of this title makes it totally unpredictable.

Well, I didn't get to read One Piece for one whole week, but now that I'm back from a business trip, I'm already up to date with the latest chapter. Damn, Impel Down rocks, not to mention funny. And all hell broke lose in Marine Headquarters. Looks like wherever Luffy goes that involves Marine establishments, said establishments turns to chaos. Shanks, now that's one person I didn't expect to see. And I was expecting Dragon to appear. It's very sad about Ace though.

Well, I've updated some of the few things in the page. Although I have only seen 1 episode of W, I hope everyone can help me correct some of the mis-translations that might be enountered. Again, I'm basing all the information I put in this page from the Japanese Wiki of W.

Oh sorry, didn't actually see that. But yeah, right on.

Great. Just great. I got my SIC Kabuto today. That was rather fast. And I didn't even drive to the office today so I'll have to hand carry it home today. I can imagine her getting angry telling me I bought "another one". *sweat* If I could just smuggle it home without her noticing it so I don't have to buy something of equivalent value for her. Again, currently in the office so I can't take a pic of it. Besides, it's useless for me to post a pic since I don't open it, and nobody wants to see the box anyway. But anyway, yay, I got my Kabuto.

Actually, the volume titles are somewhat skewed from the original Japanese text. I didn't translate some of those since the english titles are already printed. Let me start with volume 22 then 22 - Bare Face of the Masked Divine Lord 23 - Inherited Spirit 24 - Roaring Giant Beast God 25 - Daybreaks' Conclusion 26 - War Goddess, comes to Japan 27 - Opening Curtains of the Banquet
