  1. This is my favorite piece from Chopin's Nocturne. Nocturne in C sharp Minor. Although this version was a bit faster, I still loved it. His Vibrato is mesmerizing.
  2. Hmm Breaking Benjamin eh. I'm not an avid visitor of HJU. Well, here's one song that I'd like. I like how they animate some of the parts here. edit: Okay, that was the spoof version. This is the original version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EXxMlIExpo next time, I'm going to view the whole video before I post.
  3. Just finished re-watching Gurren Lagann. Damn, such awesome and epic hot bloodedness!!!
  4. Ho hum.... I'd imagine not everyone would like this song. This piece is particularly sad.
  5. Could you be referring to the Executive Producer? I'm not really very familiar with the terms and the responsibilities, but aren't the Executive Producers the one that shells out the budget for the movies?
  6. I'm currently watching Yama Onna Kabe Onna. I like the story, but hasn't gotten to the point where I get Hook, line and sinker. I'm watching it for Misaki Itoh, one of my favorite actress.
  7. Ah yes, I have seen that interview. I think it was more of a speech. The producers wanted him to write a script that would involve giant mechanical spiders. The producer wasn't able to produce a superman movie, but instead Wild Wild West came out. But with your example, sometimes the director would have more authority on this. He could change the script whenever he wants. Example would be Batman & Robin. What kind of idiot would wear a costume with Nipples? Cheesy one liners? There are a lot of things wrong with that movie but I'm not gonna start. I guess what I'm trying to say is that when you say producers, you are referring to the creative team as a whole. If one critical production team has issues with the overall direction of the movie, he could just refuse to participate. Perhaps this is another reason why so many titles from different media, even though very popular, has not seen the light of the silver screen. Like what Kevin Smith said about the superman movie. Everybody knows who superman is. Now what kind of director or writer would want to work on a superman movie has elements that are absolutely inconsistent with the concept? This is probably the reason why the new superman movie came out so late.
  8. I hope you don't mind if I correct you a bit. But Piccollo was a major villain when Goku was still young. These were the times that the terms Saiyans or Nemiks did not exists. It was only later that Piccollo became an ally of Goku. (this was after the time skip, even then, at first they still regarded Picollo as a villain). This is where opinions come in. I cannot say that your idea would be right or wrong, because these are your opinions. Consider that there are millions of people in the world who have their own opinions. Although you and me might not enjoy dragonball, I have spoken to many people who have enjoyed Dragonball Evolution. Also, the time being close to midnight (Christmas Eve) in our region, I wish you a Merry Christmas.
  9. Yes, that is indeed true. The quality of the movie does not solely depend on one person but the efforts of many. What use would be a good script if the director fails to deliver what movie goers expect. Also, what good would be a great director if the script is lacking. There are many opinions about different films, the same can be said for the makers of films, since there are producers, directors, writers and etc. No one single factor can make a film a box office success. In the case of Dragonball, even though it has the name, it lacked the grand vision from the part of the movie makers to make it a success. On the part of Transformers, again, they have the name, however, the creative team behind the movie managed to get the compositions right to have a box office success. However, even though it was a box office success, there are still many long time fans that hated the "bayformers".
  10. What's the bigger risk in your definition? Like say would you want to invest in a movie that ends up like box offices flop like Dragonball Evolution and get flamed by fans---> lose profits? But then, that's the predicament of movies being made in the box office. Using your example, they invested in Dragonball because it was already a household name. Everybody knows about dragonball, and thus, they expected the name itself to carry the movie. Also, the most common thinking that Hollywood has is that they want to make a movie that would be enjoyed by everyone. With this thinking alone, die hard fans would be very critical of how the movie will be directed. Which is why the story and setting of the Dragonball movie has been somewhat tweaked so that it would suite the taste of average joe who has no knowledge of the movie. Of course this move will irrate long time fans. But then, this is where it gets tricky. If they make a movie that is very faithful to the original source, wouldn't this be what you would call "media losing their creativity"?
  11. Ryuki, I don't want to be such a pain, but would it be alright if we re-upload the images for the zoanoids? I plan to take some of the images from the vdf, cleaning the image. But I don't know how to put the guyver shilhouette on the zoanoids. I'm not very profecient in creating transparency. I'm using photoshop CS4 by the way.
  12. Okay, I've rechecked that paragraph. It's supposed to be like this: "There are many core fans, having charmed by the grand vision of the creation of mankind, and using the figure as a basis moulding the delicate characters. With the role of the secret organization as a villain that succeeded in conquering the world, it has a story that is worth mentioning surpassing common sense and the usual, like 2 years prior to the repeated terrorist incident in America, it draws the destruction of a tall building in Washington DC." The charm they are talking about is the concept of mankind's creation and the character development. They just mentioned that it has a story out of the ordinary like the destruction of a tall building in washington DC, which is somewhat similar to the 9/11 attacks 2 years after.
  13. Well, I've finished reading the great train robbery. And it was very interesting. One of the greatest crimes committed in Victorian England (circa 1850's), and it was interesting how the robbery was planned out.
  14. let me get back to you on that. Ill need to check the japanese wiki for that. Im out of town at the moment so i might not be able to get on this immediately.
  15. Cool. I've transfered some of the zoanoids to their own page. I'm going to remove the content and transfer them into a new page as soon as I'm finished with all the other zoanoids. I used "specialization" by the way. Hopefully there won't be any more corrections to be made. Also, I hope you don't mind if I just copy/paste the information from the theguyver.net database with a little editing. All the information I've posted so far has been from the aforementioned database.
  16. I've added a sample section in the zoanoids page (http://www.japan-legend.com/wiki/index.php?title=Zoanoid#Testing_Purposes) using the Enzymes as subjects. I've given them a class of Anti Guyvers. The link in the class would redirect them to the class page listing zoanoids of similar class. So if anyone wants to see similar zoanoids, they can simply click the link. Also, I have made their names into their own link. Meaning we can simply click their names to go to their own page for editing purposes. Of course the difficulty in this kind of setup would be the mass edits. We would have to edit all the zoanoids pages one by one should we decide to add something. In the end, we would have 3 pages for the zoanoids. 1 page for the general info linking to the 2 pages, List of Zoanoid sorted alphabetically and List of Zoanoid sorted by class. Is this what you were thinking? If so, I hope we can finalize the contents and standard format for the zoanoids before I proceed with this. Please do tell if there is something we should add or omit. Additionally, we should agree on the terms for the category or "class". I've come up with "class" since I can't think up of any at the moment, I would like to avoid using long terms like "Zoanoids Suited for Aquatic" or the sort. "Type" perhaps?
  17. Ah, now I get it. Each zoanoid has it's own small page, but we have another page showing all the indivual zoanoids page in one single page. I think a test should be in order. I want to learn to do this.
  18. Hmm... I can see where you are heading. But yes, I think we can work this out. Maybe we can list the zoanoids alphabetically and link them to the specific section of the zoanoids page. Or, we can arrange the zoanoids page alphabetically instead of per category. I can also use the free space to indicate the "suitable category" for the specific zoanoid. But we should also consider people who don't know the names of the zoanoid. Perhaps they might be searching for a flying zoanoid that can force remove bioboosting. Was it karvi, Curry or bicker? I do have a solution to satisfy both arguments. We simply create 2 pages. 1 page sorted by suitable category, while another page sorted alphabethically. I'm just not sure how you feel about repetition of content. I like your suggestion of putting a single page for each zoanoid. But the problem will be the content. I'm not entirely sure what else to put there if we have an exclusive page for each zoanoid.
  19. What about the classifications in the vdf? Do you think it would be alright if we follow the classifications indicated there? It's going to be a little bit messy if there is no sub categories for the zoanoids.
  20. Here's a classic. Wham - Last Christmas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3354flS1KJs
  21. I was looking at the old database in the guyver.net and have based the zoanoids page on what was there. I actually copied the content with some of my own formatting. So I created a zoanoid pages categorizing them as Aqua type, aerial type, power type, bio-blaster type and guyver killer type. Now here is the question, on the old guyver.net page, in the power type category, I noticed that the zoanoids Bystoma and Eurenorm seems to be aqua type (as per written on the description). How do you think we should go about this? Do I regroup them with the aqua type, or do I just follow what was written in the guyver.net? Perhaps we should follow the vdf?
  22. We've actually managed to cover only the tip of the iceberg. There are still a lot of things that we have to do. So any edits you can do are surely welcome. Especially the "engrish" parts. Since I took them out of the Japanese wiki, information that is not available in any english page. I think this is the one advantage we have over wikipedia (although some information are copied from wikipedia). Not to mention that we also provide images to help readers visualize what they are reading. What I'm actually doing is to try and arrange the layout of the entire guyver information into something more comprehensive and cohesive, and fill in some minor details that I can provide. But when in comes to content, I'm afraid that my resources are quite limited.
  23. Actually, I found the chapter titles by accident. I was looking through the scanlations to get the portrait of the zoalords in the start of the volumes. There are some volumes that have the first index page untouched. That's where I got them. But there are books that don't have them, and some have other chapters that still have the japanese titles. I noticed that some of the earlier volumes have ommitted some of the titles. Also, this has really been bugging me. The location of Silha. The older volumes say it was somewhere in the atlantic ocean. But checking on the VDF as well as the japanese wiki, all of them are saying Pacific ocean. The Japanese indicates it as 太平洋, so if it is indeed that atlantic ocean it should say 大西洋. I think there may have been some confusion with the translations here. And lastly, regarding the music tracks, I planned to link each track to an mp3, but is still hesitating due to our stand regarding publication of copyright materials. Why is why I only proposed to put samples for the CD that are available in the market. With regards to the 12 episode OVA soundtrack, since this CD is no longer in print or available anywhere, I thought that we could provide the songs for the whole CD. What do you think?
  24. I think the out of control CD was just re-released a few years back so there is really no problem getting information about that. I was actually referring to the 12 episode OVA that had the 2 disc album. Anyway, I don't plan on directly linking the files. I plan on uploading them to a separate server (like mediafire). The files can actually be found on khinsider. Just google it and it's the first result. Head over the downloads, the music files are under "bio-booster armor guyver - Special OST"
  25. Wow Ryuki, that was really quick. Thanks. The TV series page now looks complete. Very nice, if I might say so myself. Hope you don't mind me asking another question. I've just finished adding the track list for the guyver Music page. And since the OVA CD is somewhat out of print or hard to find, will it be alright if we provide mp3 for some of the songs there? I know where I can get the audio for those (actually that's where I got the track list from, and I had to reverse translate from English into Japanese). Also, will it be alright if we provide sample tracks for the other CD, just to entice the readers to buy the actual CD? Just sharing some of my thoughts.
