Anime you are currently watching and/or Downloading
durendal replied to Toku Warrior's topic in Japanese Entertainment
Regarding Claymore, yeah, the last few episodes are really not that good because that was the point where the TV series skewed from the Manga. And I'm going to tell you, that's not what happened in the manga. I'm currently reading the Claymore manga and it's very good. -
Ahh, good to hear that then. So, have you decided on when to get it yet? I can still remember the feeling of anticipation and the excitement of getting a new phone when I was still researching for the phone I wanted. Do you think it might be a good idea to go to the showrooms of Nokia just to get the feel of the phone before you proceed with buying the actual phone? You've must have probably done that already, no? I really can't stress enough the solid build of the E-series. I feel that the stainless steel back cover is really one of the strongest point of the phone's design.
-
I see. You'd be surprised at the kinds of phone some jobless people have over here. I don't even know how they could afford a high end phone. I guess you could attribute this to culture. Anyway, my reasoning behind not buying second hand phone is because of how the people here treat the phone. Usually, "pimping phones" is somewhat a common trend to mobile phone users over here. People would just go anywhere and have the phones firmware upgraded, or rather "Hack" the phones (for example: some phones are locked to certain mobile carriers, thus they have their phones hacked so that they can use the other mobile carriers). And most of the time, second hand phones tend to have more "errors" compared to that of a brand new phone because of the aforementioned hacking. If it's never been used, then I guess that would be fine. But wouldn't it be very difficult to get good deal off a phone especially from ebay since you really don't know how well maintained the phone is?
-
Wait, so you're getting a second hand phone? I'm not sure that would be a wise idea. Or you're just using ebay for price comparisons? But then again, that's way cheaper than my phone. I bought my E66 for around $360. But that is strange, I'm sure the blackberry cost a lot more than the E71. Perhaps it's the origin on the phone? I know that Nokia phones that are made in Finland tends to be more expensive. The price for China/korea made Nokia phones are around 20% cheaper. But I'm not sure if that would be available to you.
-
sorry for the late reply. I'm currently in china and i just found out that they had free wifi in the exhibit hall. Anyway, is the e71 and blackberry in the similar price range? I'm sure the e71 is a lot cheaper than a crackberry...err...i mean blackberry. I think you'll just have to add a little to get a e71 from the e63. But any of the e series from nokia is still good. They have a solid build and feels tougher compared to the other nokia phones. This post was made from my nokia e66.
-
Might I suggest, that since you're getting the E63, perhaps you would consider looking at the E71 as well. The E63 actually has lesser feature than my phone. You could say that its somewhat of a mass produced model. But then again, E63 is a lot less expensive than the E71. The main advantage of the E71 is that it has a built in GPS, while the E63, you need an attachment for it to work. You could check out the comparisons of both phones in GSM arena here: http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone2=2599&idPhone1=2425

>_> ?? Are you sure that was me? I have never paid any attention to Faiz until just recently. Perhaps it was someone else. (edit: I think you got me confused with Deka. He's the one that sold his faiz belt.) With regards to KR merchandise, the oldest merchandise I have is the Sticker of KR 1 to KR X joining hands in commaradery. Also a Sticker of V3 shaking hands with Spiderman. Aside from that, just the 2 SICs and a few gatchapon that I gave away here. I wanted the Decadriver, but I would have to pay double if I ever purchased it. It's sort of my limiter, when I buy expensive toys ($20 or above), I have to buy clothes of equal value for a certain someone.
-
Woot! Here it is. I'm going to safe keep this along with my SIC Kuuga. Can't wait for Decade and Kabuto.
-
I Finally got my Kiva!!! As in just this minute. I got a text message just a few minutes ago informing me that my pre-order has arrived. And since the shop is just beside our office, I went there immediately. True enough, it's there!!! After months of waiting it's here!!! yes!!! I have also pre-ordered Kabuto. I guess I'll have to wait longer since they'll be available Jan 2010, that is if there will be no delays. I'll show pics when I get home. It's not really appropriate to take a picture of your toy while your at work.

Sorry to revive this, but getting back on topic, I again find the term "Kamen" and "Masked" somewhat confusing. Ryuki, I'm sure you were very adamant about using Masked Rider, even quarreled with someone over it. But lately, I seem to notice that a lot of the guys here use the term "Kamen" instead of "Masked". Even you yourself have been using kamen rider recently. I know this is a very trivial matter, but should I continue using "Masked Rider" or would we be okay using "Kamen Rider" instead? I know that Double uses Kamen instead of Masked as noted in the opening, so we will definitely use Kamen there. Any thoughts? I'm Just looking for some reassurance that I'm not "out of the loop". Don't mind me, just starting some conversation here.

Since the first time that he was activated? Maverick=rogue. So technically speaking, guyver is a Chronos maverick. lol. Nice drawings. Really liked the more recent ones.

Kamen Rider W (Double) Series discussion
durendal replied to Toku Warrior's topic in Japanese Entertainment
Yeah, I guess that's how I also feel. A lot of the regulars on this sub-forum seems to have gone MIA. Did we scare them off with our niceness? -
Yes, G Gundam For the Win!!! But the Shining Gundam put up a lot more drama than G Gundam. So Shining Gundam gets my vote. But I still like G Gundam. It's actually the first scale model that I owned from more than a decade ago.

Kamen Rider W (Double) Series discussion
durendal replied to Toku Warrior's topic in Japanese Entertainment
3 sundays went by and not one word from anyone. This looks very grim for the show indeed. Again, I still can't comment on anything because I still haven't watched past episode 1. And the comments you guys made doesn't really give much incentive in watching this. Perhaps this is another Kiva? -
I still haven't split the characters and riders. Too many of them and too little of me. Anyway, I have updated the page up to the credits. Will be doing the episode list next. But somehow, it seems that recently, I'm finding it hard to get motivation in continuing with this project. I took a break, a long one, and after I resumed editing this, I felt bored. Perhaps you guys can give me some advice on how to re-motivate myself in doing this. Perhaps it's the lack of KR fix, since I haven't seen past episode 1 of double. Or perhaps it's because no one's been paying attention to my work (which would make me sound so vain). I don't know. I also find it odd that there has been little activity on the board. Where is everyone?
-
SWEET MOTHER OF JESUS!!! They're finally gonna make it. Volume 52 of SIC will be Kabuto!!! And here I am still waiting for my SIC Kiva. was informed that the released was delayed and would probably arrive late october. I hope it arrives when I come back from China.

Strange. I thought I had posted here and yet my post disappeared. Anyways.... Wow, good stuff. I think some of the guys from the fanfic section would want to commission you to do some arts for some of their fanfic.
-
Hmm.... I would guess once the conversion is complete, it would be much more efficient to have them all bundled into one single file. Anyways, you really got to hand it to Super Existence. He's the one who keeps reminding me about this. Read, comprehend and interpret. Am I done now? Page 142 blue text beside cover: Theatrical used Anime ('86)- Video and LD currently out of print red text: Guyver's First Image Appearing in the original anime -From here on, we would like to ask regarding various media that has been developed for [Guyver]. Firstly, we would like to hear Mr. Takaya's thoughts on the produced theatrical work animation. Yes, the first production was created with Studio Live. This talks about the story that happens in volume 1 of the tankoubon, and after the completion of the second volume. With regards to the subject it was an original from Live. My participation was with the design of the female version of Guyver II, until the established drawing of the Megasmasher. That establishment, has not yet appeared in the second volume. For me, when I was still a child I have this strong admiration for movies, I was very happy to see my own work made into film. Later, the singer Inoue Azumi who sang the main theme, such a beautiful person made such an impression. Additionally, the special modeling costume that Mr. Shinada Fuyuki sculpted of Guyver I is something profound. red text: Hollywood realization movie American version [GUYVER] -Speaking of costume, guyver was made into a live movie right. Yes. It was made twice. (Currently, Video and LD are out of print) To start, concerning the first [GUYVER THE MOVIE], I had direct contact with the director Mr. Screaming Mad George. I had hoped that Mr. George would create the complete story and appearing characters for America. Cutting off the Japanese origin and I was looking forward as to how popular it would be overseas, and I entrusted everything. A must see scene is definitely the bioboosting scene. From calling out the camera suddenly changes to the scene of the bioboost armor. That much is a One Cut, where a puppet is immediate substituted. It was amazing. Additionally on the second one [Dark Hero], the director modeled it on the first film and headed by collaborative director Mr. Steve Wang. It was an American version original story where he searches for his own roots. It's just that, a portion of the mind has a feel that it sticks closely to the original material. Later, there was a scene where he bioboosted diving from a cliff, that was so cool. That was the hero image of Steve Wang. It is because he is someone who has deep understanding of a Japanese Hero. image with yellow circle: A Guyver head in the hands of Mr. Takaya. This, was a garage kit sculpted by Mr. Oosako Junichi. Right now looking at it is only astonishing. Red text: A film version of a yearning director! Mr. Takaya also participated in the entire supervision!! -Next, let us hear about the 1998 version of the OVA. Please tell us about your deep connection in the first series. This time, the story will start from the beginning sticking closely to the original material. I was the chief director and in charge of the chief designs, additionally I was in charge of approving the script to the elaborate checks on the continuity. Even for Guyver II a new design was made for this OVA. The script, being the manga author the famous Sanjou Riku was put in charge. During his negotiations, Mr. MAX Watanabe was introduced. He had read all of the guyver, in one day have read all of the volumes, and then immediately created the entire plot. What Mr. Sanjou was thinking, was unusually unconventional and unique. The last that he thought of first, was the combination of the team 5. (laugh) and then, the great battle to control Japan! Thinking [Won't this be interesting (joking)], but the world perspective was different so we stopped. However, the idea of the appearance of the team 5 lived on, and I thought that it had developed a nice tempo. In the end it was the director, Mr. Ishiguro Kouichi, the main director of [Furai Lion Maru] which I liked when I was a kid did it. Coincidentally Mr. Ishiguro was the chairman of the production committee that was in charge of the anime. It was an incredible chance meeting, I was so surprised. After the meeting, director Ishigura suddenly said saying it first hand. At first I was surprised, since I drew this manga receiving the influence from the works of Ishiguro, it was obvious (laugh). Additionally the director said that [shou should be thought as a son]. The director perceived Shou with a perspective of a father, and I think that this series suceeded. Working with this for one year was really enjoyable. blue text: OVA ('89) Video and LD are sold for 4,500 yen (the picture is the last of 6 chapter of the first series) currently, the first series volumes 1 ~ 6 are being sold by Bandai Visual (the second is out of print) big ass blue text: Page 143 Red text: An Image Album that magnificently grasped the atmosphere of the original work -next, can you tell us about the image album that was released in 1991. This was an image album based on original work. collecting the vocals and instrumentals, all of it was composed for this CD. In this CD, Inoue Azumi who was in the '86 version anime also participated. She sang the theme of Mizuki [small prayer]. In the song making, it was made to understand the world perspective of the [bioboost armor]. With that, it was asked from Hayami Kouji who wrote the Guyver Gaiden short novels. Again in the composition, the fusion of a tokusatsu hero, animation, drama, historical play, and also movie sound track was done by Mr. Tamura Eiji. The multiple overflowing city sense of Mr. Tamura, is really wonderful. Actually, I was already a fan of Mr. Tamura, I was secretly wishing for Mr. Tamura to make this image album. I think the contents was realy wonderful, when asked, was frightenend with [i'm really bad at song making, will it really be alright for me to do it], whether its right or wrong to ask.... no, it's all lies (laugh), in any case, I think that this composition was really wonderful. Again, Mr. Tamura showed his coolness. In the composition, aside from the aforementioned [small prayer], there was the [Theme of Cronos] which was the idea of Mr. Tamura. Its an interesting song where the last part of the song has a spell with the name of the zoanoids. This theme was sung by a collection of many people. By the way, I was busy with work and was not able to participate. Thinking of it now it was rather unfortunate. Later, the longness of the composition requires the name of a zoanoid, a zoanoid called [giles] which appeared in the monitor of the cronos base in the original work made an appearance. until here, there was no accurate design, this time it was drawn in this mook to be shown to everyone. blue text: Image Album- the hand drawn Jacket of of Mr. Takaya Yoshiki is cool! there are 10 compositions, retailing for 2,500 yen TKCA 30275 Sold by Tokukan Japan Communication blue big ass text: The other side of Natsuki!? Take note of the detailed mentality! pictured at right: -Novels The picture, volume 1, [Lisker's Challenge], volume 2, [the third shadow] are also sold by Tokukan AM retailing at 480 yen. Furthermore, the Gaiden that appears in the interview [Memory of Demon shadow] is currently being sold. red text: Expression of the Standard bearer's world of the Short Novel Guyver -Well then, please let us hear about the writting of Mr. Hayami Kouji who made the songs. Concerning the first gaiden, it tells the story like the first series of the OVA. A ratio and lyrical, whichever is written in the short novel that is expressed was introduced by Mr. Hayami. With that, it became like [it was because it was difficult to convert the Manga to short novel like that so lets add an extra], and that's how the [memory of the demon shadow] was written. For those who have not read it, it was rather interesting development so please read it like [The brother who was working away in Tokyo did not return. That sister was searching for Shinsou so she transfered into the school of Shou. Her brother was actually....]. And then, recently there are new series started. This puts the current Heisei world into the stage, the flow of the original story runs along and develops. In the mean time, volume 2 it reaches the story of the destruction of Japan Branch. There are zoanoids that appear in the novel version that does not appear in the original. Later, it went into dwelling of a character that did not appear in the original. For example, there is another side of Natsuki that can be read in the novel. I think that it was enjoyable for a teacher who prides himself in expressing the detailed mentality. Red text: 12 holy commanders vs guyver! Take attention to the current developments!! -Then, can you please let us hear about the current developments. It would be mainly a confrontation of the 12 holy commanders. The giant shadow appearing that overwhelmed the american base will also have it's true form revealed here, different devices were also prepared for this. Additionally, the entanglement between the Gigantic battle between Shou and Makishima, and the great change in the upper body of Aptom. At any events, confrontation between the Guyver camp and the 12 holy commanders are being composed. In the shadows the true identity of a mysterious man who makes secret manuevers, or when Murakami will be revived, or what the true intentions of Alchanfel, all the mysteries will be made clear one after the other. -You won't be leaving this in a new development right. Then, lastly is there any last words you wish to give to the readers who have given you support. From here please have my regards on the [bioboost Armor Guyver] which is heading into its climax. (Heisei 8 February 21 Home of Mr. Takaya) Pic of Takaya: From here on Mr. Takaya promises to write with a hot passion. Please expect it!

Uh.... so.... where was I? edit: nevermind. Found it. Give me a few days for this.

I'm finally back and thankfully everything is working in order. Although I still need to re-install a lot of stuff. But basically I now have a working PC. But that's not the end of my problems yet. I still need to fix the second PC in the house. Already changed the motherboard and I'm currently stumped. PC won't boot, or even get to the POST screen. I hope it's only the RAM. I only bought a new motherboard for this and used the same processor. I can't hear any beeps because the board doesn't have an onboard speaker and my casing doesn't have a speaker. This will be very irritating.

I wonder how they will end Guin Saga since the original author had already passed away withot finishing the series? -
Yup, I can access zip files from my phone, but I already got my PC up and running last night so I will be working from there.
-
So what happened with Bethesda? Did they call you back?
-
Thanks for these. Updated the Riders up to the 9 Masked Riders. I will work on the images later when I'm done setting up my PC. I've still got a lot of software to re-install. I wonder if I should provide pictures of the support characters in every world. I'm not sure if I will be able to find decent official pictures of them. Also, I'm begining to think that I should have finished working on the previous riders before I work on this. This page have reference links to the other riders that are still non-existent (like Hibiki and Agito).
