  1. Yeah, Annihilation was awesome. And so was Conquest. But war of kings was a bit iffy for me too. The interesting parts about War of kings was the concept of the raptors. Wasn't able to catch up with Realm of Kings so i really can't comment on that. Civil War was awesome. Planet Hulk was awesome. But World War Hulk was somewhat of a "meh" for me. I guess it's the plot twist that killed it for me. How cool or rare is it when you get to see the Hulk kick the @$$ of every marvel super hero. I didn't quite enjoy secret invasion and Dark Reign. I actually hated Dark Reign. So Seige is a welcome story for me. You are right about DC though. They really do make good stories. I mean the Sinestro War and the next arc prior to the Blackest Night was good story telling. Although i have yet to read Blackest Night. What really impressed me about DC is their 52 arc. Who would have thought that the idea of throwing lameass third rate characters together in a big event would be so entertaining. I think it is actually the lesser known characters that pulls the story instead of the "Trinity" (Supes, Bats and WW). I haven't been keeping up with DC lately so I was wondering how the Last Stand of Krypton story arc fares.
  2. Funny how boredom made me stop editing this and boredom caused me to resume editing.
  3. Started reading again. This time, I'm up to siege. Interesting turn of events. Looks like this arc has been brewing for the past 7 years, and Osborn is finally going to get what's coming for him.
  4. Well, I guess you could say that they were trying to prolong the series by a number of episodes whereas it should have ended for shorter. The heavy use of panning and pauses really destroyed the momentum and adrenaline of the story. I'm not talking about animation quality, but more on the storyboard quality. You could say that it was the pacing. I would have prefered that they made fillers than "dragonballized" the show. That was a point in the series where the anime was already catching up with the manga.
  5. Well, I think the main difference between Mr. Takaya and Mr. Kishimoto is that Naruto is released weekly while Guyver is released monthly. The gap in between chapters might be a big factor as to the disparity of the two titles' quality. I would have surely appreciated the animated version, but I was so disgusted at how they animated the whole "Chasing Sasuke" arc prior to Shippuden that the same impression got stuck on me when I watched Shippuden.
  6. Hehehe. I shan't say anything even if it pains me to keep what's going to happen to myself.
  7. "Tai" [対] can either mean opposing, against or anti, depending on how it is used. "Han" [反] can also mean anti-, but "han" is usually associated with the term "rebel". So a "Han Chronos Seifu Soshiki" [反クロノス政府組織] is "anti Chronos Goverment Organization". Additionally, "Han" is a much more serious term as opposed to "tai". So labeling anything with a "han" is already considered on the level of being traitorous. Also, "han" is never used as "versus". Also, combining the two together and you get "Hantai" [反対] or "Objection" An example of this term "han" is used in the old chinese propaganda "Fan Qing Fu Ming" [反清復明] or Rebel against the Qing and restore the Ming, a term used during the Qing Dynasty in China. A lot of Japanese terms has similarities in a single english equivalent, the only difference is the severity of how it is used.
  8. Well, Ryuki, considering that Itachi slaughtered the Uchiha's and left Sasuke alive definitely leaves one to speculate as to why. Regarding naruto, I'm thinking that his final clash with Sasuke will be the biggest trigger to his behavioural change. Recently, even though he is still reckless, he has shown more maturity as he continues with his battles. Spoiler warning for Ryuki, do not read as this has not happened yet in the anime
  9. Well, regarding Naruto's rank as a Genin, it isn't really determined on how powerful you are, but determined on how you think during battle. In the chuunin exam, even though Naruto defeated Neji, and didn't even lose once, he wasn't promoted to Gennin. Also, a great example is Shikamaru, he lost, yet he is the only one of Naruto's peers to ever get promoted to chuunin. With all things considered, I think that the current Naruto has matured enough to pass that condition.
  10. Not particularly excited, or even slightly interested in this. As long as Sentai continues to be popular outside of Japan, and as long as there are sentais to copy from, I certainly feel that the franchise will continue.
  11. What's unique about Naruto is that the main character is not the center of focus in the story telling. It should be retitled as the "legends of the Leaf Village" or something to that effect. I'm impatient so I don't watch the animated version, but grab the latest manga chapter as soon as its released. So far, Naruto has kept my attention, but for Bleach, although I'm still faithfully following the title, I'm starting to lose interest, as the dragon ball effect is starting to be noticeable. Unlike Naruto, in every chapter of bleach, the power levels continue to go up. Sooner or later, they'll eventually reach the Deus Ex Machina. Sure in Naruto, they get much more powerful, but this is due to training and honing their own skills. Not increasing their chakra to insane amounts. Even since the beginning, only Naruto is capable of doing this due to the nine tails power. But for the rest, you really gotta admire the battle strategies being used. Fighting is all about skills and not about power.
  12. I'm not sure, I've already toggled the settings for the keys. They just won't respond, be it short press or long press. It's the keys themselves that are unresponsive. But yes, it's somewhat annoying, since I can't use the task switching (like a windows alt-tab thingy by holding the menu key) because the menu key won't function anymore. The service representative at Nokia claimed that I need to replace the flex cable, which will entail additional cost for me. What really ticked me off was that I gave them my phone with all the keys working and when they return it to me, they're no longer functioning. Later, when I was researching the schematics of the phone, I found out that the representatives at Nokia were BSing me. There is no way that the flex cable would be damage when changing LCD, unless they forced it open. And if the Flex cable were damaged, my phone would randomly turn off by itself. Next time, I'm going for the unauthorized cell phone repairman. At least I get to see what is being done to my phone and I only have to wait for a few minutes to get it repaired.
  13. The one touch keys are the dedicated keys in the front panel, similar to the 4 buttons beside your E63's navigation key. They're the Menu, Calendar, Contacts and Email. I always carry my phone in my pocket and this is the first time that the phone's LCD cracked. Probably because the E66 is a lot thinner than all of the previous phones that I've ever used. The biggest factor when I choose a phone is its sturdiness and it's ability to keep up with me. I was also thinking of switching to a blackberry, but I can't seem to find one that suits my requirements. It's either they lack the components that I need, or doesn't look appealing to me. Besides, my phone can still do the basic functions, so getting a new phone isn't an option at the moment.
  14. I thought I'd revive this thread to rant about something. Recently, my E66 suffered a crack in its LCD. So I was given a choice to either send it to an official nokia care center, or just a simple cell phone repair vendor. The cost is roughly around the same, so I opted to go the Nokia Care due to it's 90 days warranty. I left specific instructions that only the LCD be repaired, and not to upgrade the firmware or touch anything else. After 3 days I got a text message saying that my E66 is repaired. When I tried to claim my phone, I found out that my one-touch keys were no longer functioning. I refused to pay the service fee but the clerk insisted that since the phone has physical damage, some parts might be affected. I was very upset mainly because the clerk and I were talking in circles, and couldn't give me a satisfying answer. To make a long story short, I left the Nokia care frustrated and really pissed. Although the LCD was fixed, my one touch keys were no longer working. To think they have the nerve to call themselves "Nokia Care" when they don't even care about their customers. After this incident, I'm thinking if I'll ever support a nokia phone again. Looks like the sturdiness of every new Nokia phone gets flimsier and flimsier. Starting with my 7110 which lasted 6 years, to my 6260 that lasted 4 years, now my E66 is only 2 years old. I'm clearly not happy with this.

  21. Since I have wasted much of everyones time with my pleas for assistance, I think that it is only fair that I update you guys of what happened. I finally fixed the friggin PC. Turns out, the system files were corrupted due to bad clusters in the drive. I retried the repair install method, which was wierd because it gave me an error not being able to read certain files from the CD. I though the CD drive was going bad. So instead, I tried using the recovery console, manually reverting the system restore. To no avail, tried recovery console again, this time, I tried to check the drive with check disk (chkdsk). Turns out there were some bad clusters. Fixed the bad clusters and tried the repair install again. Worked like a charm. PC is now working fine, with the wireless lan card still shot. But at least I managed to make it work again with all the old configurations intact. So I did not format the drive, no reinstallation of any application was done. It just magically returned back to normal. And PC now runs much faster, no thanks to those bad clusters.
  22. I've already used the recovery console and it didn't work, both the Dos prompt and the repair option. And I hate Norton. Like I said many times before, the problem is the OS, not the physical drive. V Guyver, I know you want to be helpful, but the steps you recommend have already been done as I have stated in my previous posts. I really can't thank you enough for the relentless aid and support you have been providing me. But there are times that one must let go and accept the fact that nothing else can be done.
  23. I have more than 2. I have 2 HDD which are SATA, and 4 others that are IDE. But here's the pickle, my Computer uses SP4, and the crashed HDD uses SP3. Can't exactly downgrade my PC just to fix the other one can I? I'm rather frustrated at how often I had to repair that computer which is why I'm not exactly trying my best to fix it. And you know what's funny? That other computer has a higher specs than my PC. What's really, really irritating is that I can use my PC for years without ever having to fix it, while I have to tweak the other PC every other month. I swear, this will be the last time I fix that PC. hot pirate by the way.
  24. Diskwarrior? Isn't that supposed to be a Mac application? And should I require it, I don't think there is any need for me to buy it since I know other avenues of obtaining it. You're talking to a pirate. I don't think I can take it anywhere to repair since what those idiots would do is just reformat the whole thing. Thanks for the encouraging words anyway. I knew from the start that there's no hope. I'm just using this avenue to vent out my frustrations.
  25. Yup, I know the stop code error (which I indicated in earlier an post, stop code 000021a, with 2 different error codes). I set up the PC that it would not reboot upon BSOD, but freeze with the message of the error. This helps me identify the problem and make it easier to repair the PC. unfortunately, the stop error seems to be a general code that has a wide range of causes. And mostly point to error involving system files. This is the reason why I am contemplating copying my system files to the crashed HDD, but the issue of compatibility between SP3 and SP4 is complicating things.
