Pretty nifty guyver lego. I love it. I love lego, but is too expensive for me. We had the much more cheaper version of it, the china made "ligao".

Want to screw over those sites? What better way than to do a screwed up translation and force feed it to them? Remember that Colonoscopy bit that Agito had when he had the Navigation sphere? I remember that bit either pissing a lot of people off or making a lot of people laugh.

Ryuki, it's not that I don't care at all about the cause. This kind of thing just happens to me a lot of times, that I have grown accustomed to it. At the moment, I don't have a lot of energy to do most of the things that I usually do, so given that, it would only waste my energy to get upset over something that does not physically affect me. It is also my principle to not do anything when upset, as anger tends to make people do extreme things. Better to calm down a little before doing anything drastic. I'm all for championing the cause, I just don't like to do it in a blind rage. I would agree to the watermark. Being a leecher myself, I don't mind having watermarks on the comics that I read as long as I can still understand what is happening in what I am reading. Also consider the original intent of the Guyver Advocacy. To be honest, when I first stumbled on to theguyver.net, I was itching to read the guyver manga even though I don't have the actual books. Back then, it was hard for me because I don't own the actual books. Since I don't own the books, there is no way for me to read the manga since each volume requires a password that can be obtained when you have the actual books. But given the current resources, such method would no longer be effective simply because raws are readily available when you know where to look. To this day, I have never read any of the Guyver manga aside from the ones that the advocacy gave me to translate. I have not read any of the volumes that does not have my name on it. And I have never stored any of the guyver scanlation in my hard drive. So imagine how happy I was when the TV series was aired on cable television back then. You can see why I translated the TV series despite my apprehension to translating anime. That's how much I support the cause. But no matter how much you support the cause, once you scan, translate, edit and post the manga into a public forum, you are no different from any other scanlation group out there, no matter how much disclaimer you put to buy the books etc, to me, those are just excuses to scanlate the manga. Even this site we are talking about, they have links on the bottom of the manga that allows the reader to purchase the books that shows it supports the author, but look how much we lambaste the site. I am asking, is the Guyver Advocacy better than any other scanlation groups out there? If yes, how so? If we are to maintain the spirit of the original advocacy, my suggestion is to post only the translations, and only host a select few chapter of the manga, not all. If you give all the chapters to the leechers, what would then push them to buy the manga. Come on, do you really expect 90% of the readers of the guyver manga to go out and buy the book given that everything is already in this site? chances are, majority of that 90% won't even give a rats @$$. I'm sure you have the statistics based on the traffic of this site Ryuki. Tell me that I'm wrong. Pardon the blunt words, but my initial reaction to this is neutral and I got worked up while thinking about what the cause once stood for.

I will have to reiterate that anything you posted in a public forum is already considered as public domain. We all chose this path, so it would be lying to say that something like this was not expected. I will admit, after all these years in the service of fans, I have grown somewhat numb and immune to these kinds of things. Be it ripping your work off, bashing your work or any kind of offending remarks or actions, I've already been through all of that. Whatever you do, it's not going to change the fact that it has already happened, and nothing we can do to have it undone. That's the internet for you.

Making it harder for people to get the goods just makes people push harder in acquiring them. It's the bane in all society, everyone wants what's illegal. It also affects the rule of supply and demand. If the goods are considered hard to come by, some people might be willing to pay for a premium amount to get it. And I'm not talking about the actual books. Was the site notified about the scanlations of how the people involved in it feel?
-
I said that? Well, I probably did but don't remember at the moment. In any case, if guyver becomes popular and the translated manga is put out of the public's reach, somebody else is bound to release a translated chapter sooner or later. You have to admit, the raws aren't exactly hard to come by. Some new group will bound to acquire the raws and do a speed translation. It becomes bigger and sooner or later, they'll end up being served by cease and desist orders from some digital copyright firms. Worst, it becomes so popular that Tokyopop decides to pick it up and screw with the translations. without realizing it, everyone will be calling Sho "Joe" and Agito will be named "Khan" and Alchanfel will be refered to as "Mighty Man". Maybe history will be changed that Guyver Zero drove out the Advents with his heroic acts and the Unit G has since been handed down to generations and generation, only activating once the threat of the "Alien Invaders" becomes apparent again.

My childhood home is not really that far away from where I currently live. Probably about 20 kilometers. Though not that far away, it's already in another city. Going to another country to find a career is entirely different than relocating because of a career. I mean, it is very difficult to find a job when you relocate. Unless you have a job waiting there, I advise you to hold it off. Unless you are really confident that you'll be able to land a job immediately, it might prove difficult to wait it out on a foreign land where you have no one to support you. I tried relocating to a foreign country to look for a job once, pretty much like most of my college friends did. But I had to comeback immediately due to personal reasons. Some of them managed to find jobs in a matter of days, while a few took an entire two months before going back home empty handed. You really need skills and a lot of luck for that. I'm not discouraging you in any way. I am just saying for you to be ready when reality bites you in the back side. And working in Japan? I'd imagine thousands of westerners having the same goal. You'll be having a lot of competition. check out Dannychoo.com. That guy may have had it made, but he may have inherited his father's entrepreneurial skills (His father is Jimmy Choo, you'd know who he is if you are a girl), not to mention bringing with him lots of contacts from his previous works. Business contacts can make you go long ways. Also, what I don't like about him is giving his readers delusions on how easy it is to relocate to Japan. But I have to admit, I am impressed with what he has done.

It so happens that Akihiko Kayaba is that good of a programmer that no one else can penetrate his work. Even after the SAO incident, nobody was able to duplicate his work. I have read the light novel and you are actually right about the involvement of the Government. They did setup an agency specifically for those involved in the SAO incident. Think about it, how else did Kirito managed to find Asuna?

When relocating, you always have to have a reason as to why you would relocate. Also, if you relocate, will you be able to sustain your livelihood to the place you are going to relocate? It is never a good experience if you are forced to relocate. But if it is on your own volition, then it is somewhat exciting at first. You get to see new things, get to meet new people and a whole lot of new experience. If you have a strong tie to your original home, then sooner or later, you will feel homesick. Depending on how deep you missed your home, you might be able to get used to it in time. Personally, relocating due to work is always an exciting part of life. I have friends who relocated and never came back. As long as you get to live the life you wanted and managed to sustain it, I don't see any reason why you should not relocate. If you get bored easily, or tire of things quickly, then I do not recommend for you to relocate. It will only make you suffer horribly in the long run.

I am undecided about the toku wiki, since my initial intention was to lay out the ground work and template for the whole thing, and let the other members add the contents and let it grow. All I wanted was to be a moderator and editor, not a contributor. Unfortunately, I ended up contributing majority of all the contents, which I don't think any sane person will be able to tackle alone. If you will push through with the domain change, then I will wait for everything to settle before I do anything. No point in making things complicated in the transition period.

Oh, hey. Here's another idea that I have. Seeing how "popular" the tribute to asian women thread is, I was thinking of doing something similar to the wiki pages. I'm thinking of putting up a wiki page for gravure idols and link the photo gallery to photobucket. As usual, wikipedia has inferior information regarding the idols and I want people to at least appreciate the idols other than their physical assets. My question is how I'm going to link the wiki page to photobucket. My idea is to have a gallery in the wiki while the images themselves are hosted elsewhere.

Would you be open to western union as payment if the buyer will shoulder the charges? Like I mentioned, what is your last price for the novel?
-
How do buyers go about paying in cash? Also, what is your last price for the Novel? I'm afraid £60.00 is a little too steep.

No wonder the manga has been out so slow in the past 2 years, Miura has been putting all his time in the Movie trilogy of Berserk. That trailer 2 years ago wasn't an announcement of a new anime, it was an announcement of a new movie. The final part will be coming out in January. I can't believe I actually missed this.
-
Well, they just wanted to know everything Shin knows about Apollon. That's pretty much it. You can probably guess why.

Since I don't have my PC at home, I'll be doing this at work, which will make this a lot more slower that it already is. Thankfully I'm really early at work so I still have time to do this in the office. Here's the first page (page 7), I'll try to follow with the next image soon. Hopefully. Page 7 Red fron at top: Prologue Blue font at top: Is the "unit" inside the Duralumin Case! I can actually relate to that. Every time I play MMO games, I have the tendency to ignore other players because I see them as bothersome. This is the reason why I am saying that I can relate to Kirito when it comes to his playing style, because I would have done the same thing in his situation. I don't want people to be relying on me all the time only to be miserably disappointed of their expectations. -
Now that I think about it, finishing the story after ALO only makes sense despite my apprehension on continuing the story after SAO.

Wouldn't you know it, Math can actually make nice music. Song using the numbers from Pi (3.14159....):

As it turns out, Sword Art Online and Accel World was created by the same person. I guess this is the reason for it's similarity. -
And 16 months later, I got my SIC tatoba combo. I've gotten it despite me not having seen a single episode of OOO.

Was the Guyver's head always looked that egg shaped in the OAV?
-
I'm sure I might be mistaken about my knowledge of history, but it was taught to us in school that among all the crusades, only the first one succeeded.

Ok, I stopped reading Sword Art Online just so that I can translate this. I hope that the following pages aren't as text intensive as the last page. I'm just too lazy to translate anymore.
