  1. Page 18 [Thank you very much] The officer see off the form of a girl walking in the evening street. He noticed that he forgot to ask her name, then he thought that there is no need for it. the officer was busy after all. In the outskirts, there is a place called Mount Narisawa. Although it is called [mountain], it is merely a slightly elevated hill, just a week ago, there was a long haul truck driver killed on the pathway of the mountain side. There were several suspicious points in the incident. The truck stopped in the mountains outside of the usual route, leaving the vehicle with the engine still running. At most, the death was a mystery. It might be an urban legend about a giant beast tearing it off. The most bothersome thing is that the upper echelons have notified that the area be sealed off, and there was no way to investigate it. There were even rumors that the cargo was a high classified national information, the real situation is unknown. Because of that, the suspect is still not yet caught until now. There were also those who conceal themselves in fear. The police have also strengthened their patrol. Even if the girl is a runaway, there is no need to be concerned. I never would have thought of trying to find out more about the place she was inquiring about. Page 19 Image

Before when I have gigabytes of media collected everyday, I burn them to DVD once I complete a set. Nowadays, they just sit on my hard drive. I do like to ask how this topic would be related to Guyver in general. Of course unless you guys are going to discuss something that is rather a current hot topic?
  3. What's wrong with being gay? Last time I checked, gay meant happy.
  4. Page 16 The little girl who is standing in the entrance of the local police station, said [Pardon my interruption], with her head bowed. The police officer in front of the desk, felt like he was a teacher in a classroom. Usually it's [excuse me] or [umm..], answering in a simple easy tone. [what's the matter?] [How do you go to the fifth district of Narisawa] Without thinking, he looked up at the figure of the girl. The school badge in her school uniform has a [high]* written on it. That is the design that can be seen. Carrying a large vinyl sports bag. This is unexpected. Which district did she come from, he thought that she was not here to visit a relative. *tl note: [High] as in high school. Page 17 (In any case, she is not from here, it might be an influence from friends) The still young police officer, teased the school girl. Were weren't many courteous girl like this. -there are places like that. Her looks was not bad. Her black metal framed glass suits her. [Where at the fifth district?]<br />[38 of 6. Naganuma Keichirou] [Are you a relative?] [Yes, he's my uncle] [school vacation?] [Ah, yes. That's this year. I totally forgot] Seeing her turning her head, the police officer observed the girl. The girls reply is not like it was obsessed with something. It doesn't look like she ran away. [um...I'm newly assigned here] The police officer pointed his finger on the map in the wall. [is it here. it's a bit far, though. The shop in front of the station, there is a signboard. It's a place with an arcade. Just go straight through there....] After listening to the explanation, the girl politely bowed her head.
  5. Ah, right you are. Then if you will allow, I will now start translating those pages that I've already encoded. I'll await our next step once I finished the ones already posted here. So.... where was I?

Alright, to be fair, I may have over stepped my boundaries which is why I will retract my statement about your site. However, my opinion on the rest of my statement still holds true. Let's stop right here as I do not want to escalate this particular issue any further. Obviously both of us agree to disagree.
  7. Hold on a sec. I forgot about this. Let me push this back up into the first page so I can remember to continue where I left off.
  8. Ahem, so where do we stand with this novel? I remembered this since Odin mentioned Kamen Rider Novel. Since I also remember Ryuki putting this on ebay, I'm not sure about the future of this project. Personally, I'm not used to the pace that we're doing with the novels. I find it too slow. Although it's much easier for me to encode these in Japanese, having to translate what I encoded is additional effort, something what we call "double handling". I'd like to know where we are on this before I continue to do anything.
  9. Will this be released in English or in Japanese? Sounds interesting.
  10. Jetpack Joyride - Blackberry Playbook. Sad but true. And the only time I get to play this is when I'm taking a dump. Long gone are the days that I sit for 12 hours straight playing final fantasy.
  11. I remember having the same topic about this way back in the old guyver.net forums. There was an intense debate regarding the regression of internal organs and all the sort. I'm not of a scientific mind so I don't think I can answer your queries adequately. If you've read the VDF hosted somewhere in this site, you might get the general idea as to what happens to the body when bioboosting happens.

Pardon the jargon that I utilized. I did not mean any offense by this. I was merely stating that not all guyver fans are as zealous as yourself. If all readers share the same passion that you have shown, it might be much easier to convince english companies to take on Guyver.
  13. I like the nendroid, it's kinda cute. Kirito figma, not much. I'm also done reading Alicization Running. Didn't seem like Kirito lost his memories. In fact, all his memories are intact in underworld. I'm getting a feeling that the Alicization arc will run its course like Narnia. Kirito being an old man before finally waking up in the real world.

I did and that's the impression that I am getting.

My point exactly. Irregardless if my example is Naruto or not, the basic principle applies. Ok, if you don't want Naruto, then how about Gundam? War? Not really a children's cup of tea, but it has a huge market. Do correct me if I misunderstand from where you're coming from, but are you basically saying that doing scanlation is killing the Guyver Franchise? If so, then you are hosting a website doing exactly that.
  16. Here are some of the few misses: p11 Don't look back p13 I guess it found prey other than us p14 This is what the Pterosaur was eating? p15 I don't like this anymore p16 the shadow targeting the pair Are we going to have a fun scanlation for this chapter?

And here I thought we're done discussing this issue. Doing a scanlation may have its merits and pitfalls. Doing scanlation without the express consent of the author may be bordering plagiarism and can be considered as piracy. The saying "why pay for something when you can get it for free" may be true to most of the fans, but this might not be necessarily true for retailers. Retailers gauge the marketability of the potential product based on fan reaction. I would cite Naruto as an example. Before it was licensed, there were already scanlations and fansubs of the franchise. When it was officially licensed in English, it further increased the popularity of the franchise to the point of spawning the derogatory term "Narutards". The purpose why companies license a certain products is to make a profit. And if enough market for the fan base is present, then companies will be more open to licensing it. This gives the company opportunity not only in converting the literature into english, but put out enough related merchandise to make a profit. To me, anime or manga is not the primary source of profit for a license, but other related product licensing. The reason why Naruto is so profitable despite the rampant scanlation and fansubs is because the license holders have been releasing a number of products to increase the marketability of the franchise. They have Naruto costumes, bags, accessories, and other toys that fans can physically own. Even this community can attest, that despite having the free manga right in front of their screen, they still opt to buy the Japanese books. In other words, the literature is only an advertisement used to sell toys. I don't know why most of the western companies don't see this trend. Given the current situation, I don't think Guyver has enough merchandise to market to the public, which is probably the reason why it has not yet been picked up by any company out there. It may also be possible as to why Guyver has not yet reached critical mass in Japan is because Mr. Takaya has been very particular in taking care of his characters. He doesn't seem to want to let others handle his creations freely (as depicted in the interviews). You will notice that he is involved in all of the projects related to Guyver. So I guess you can say that it is Mr. Takaya himself that is preventing the license of the Guyver into english. If we want Guyver to be licensed in English, all the fans have to do their share and be loud with their adoration of the series. I'm afraid that most of the readers of Guyver are closet fans. Proof enough that there are literally hundreds of readers in this site and yet only a handful of them ever posts anything. Thus, equally making it difficult to get companies to notice this series.
  18. I have never heard any of the names you listed except for the last few names. So you could probably tell which wrestling company I follow. I've not seen any wrestling since the days of rivalry between Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock. Probably even into the Mcmahon/Austin fued. I'm not even sure who's the face and who's the heel anymore. Last time I checked, John Cena was the crowd favorite. I've started watching this since the start of the Hulkamania days. Catchy song! I am a real American, Fight for the rights of every man, I am a real American, fight for what's right, fight for your life!
  19. As they say, bad publicity is still publicity. With this stunt they pulled, it put spiderman back into the press' radar. And because of the hype, or should I say, controversial issue, everyone started to pick up Amazing spidey 700. I would say that's a last ditch effort for a temporary solution in boosting up sales that actually worked. Proof that even Ryuki, who is usually not quite open diving into the middle of a story without knowing anything, read it.
  20. So, does this finally resolve the Yentsui spelling issue? Also, Kablarl is spelled Cabraal. I still feel that the name Kablarl sounds like a sound effect similar to "glug glug" or "Barf". As to the spoilers, I think that it is either ADV has plans to publish the manga in english or they are unitentionally pushing the fans to us. It's like them giving the forbiden fruit of spoilers to capture the interest of the viewers only to leave them wanting. So where else would the story hungry fans get the fix of guyver but the Advocacy?
  21. I thought this was in Japanese. I got the first file and it was already in english. Stupid me for not understanding.
  22. Well, they do have those side stories. The mother's rosario for example, would take the focus off kirito and into Asuna. And then there's the excaliber quest. These, together with GGO I think, would fill in nicely for another season. But you are right, people does seem to want to see more Kirito X Asuna. As I mentioned, it might not be possible to do GGO since Kirito already reset his character stats, which is an integral part of GGO. With his stats reset, he can no longer dodge bullets and he wouldn't have obtained the M9000.
  23. If I was doc ock, and knew that while there is a way to switch back bodies, I would certainly guard against it happening. So the carbonadium plating is just a normal precaution any sound minded person would take. You'd be an idiot not to protect against something that you did to somebody else. I no likey this spidey. They did the same thing to Cyclops back then when he was merged with Apocalypse. Now the way it looks to me like they merged Spidey with doc ock. I don't think we can expect any wise-cracking spidey with this superior spiderman. This story opens a lot of diverging paths. It might even be possible that spidey now has two consciousness in him, one that of doc ock, and the one of peter which he beamed back with the doc's device.
  24. I've read it as well out of curiosity. Was not impressed and frankly, was very disappointed. That's not how Peter thinks. Is it possible that all these years, it was the humor that was keeping spiderman alive? And they obviously made Doc Ock too smart. Fine, I can accept that given how the intellectual type Doc Ock is. But the way Peter "beamed" his memories to Doc Ock? That's just bull! Hell, the way Doc Ock had that carbonadium plating in his spine was pure genius, but the way it ended was just plain bull.
  25. That is actually one of my common gripes about watching kamen rider. The first few episodes are usually boring, which takes me a long time to watch, but then after a while, the plot thickens and it's all good, to the point that I can't stop watching. I've got Faiz in my PC, and started watching until episode 2. I started that about half a year ago and right now I'm still stuck at episode 3.
