  1. I'm a Huge Cap fan. I won't miss this for the world. I see he's also sporting the Captain Rogers uniform. Way cool. I like how the falcon looks. I want to see more of the encounter between Cap and the Winter Soldier. I didn't like the way Cap was portrayed in the Avengers. They made him look like a circus monkey. Hopefully this will redeem everything. And hopefully, come Avengers: Age of Ultron, he will become the main protagonist, instead of how they relegated that role to Tony Stark in the first avengers movie.
  2. I know, airing Gundam is basically a marketing ploy to sell toys. As you mentioned, at least the writing gives merit to the story. Now, it's just blatant marketing. I have yet to dive further into the series if its a hit or miss. Only time will tell I guess. Funny you mentioned G Gundam because that is actually one of my favorite series. In the final episodes, you get to see a lot of familiar robots. No, not Mobile suits, but Super Robot. I think Zambot was there. I even got a website setup almost a decade ago. I'm surprised that it's still up. Although I got lazy and never updated it. If your curious, you can see it here. ggundam.atspace.com ( hehe shameless self plugging)
  3. Gundam Build Fighters seems to be interesting. Very heavy reference to older Gundam Titles. It's fun to see kids build Plastic Models and watch them pit it against other plastic models in a battle. Although this looks like a big divergence to the war concept of Gundam, I'm worried that this has become more of a children's show that it is for older viewers. I mean, the last Gundam has some lighter elements, but it still deals with war. But this one? I don't know. It only remains to be seem how well the viewers will accept this. To me it looks more like an excuse to sell more Gunpla. Literally.
  4. Damn, so that's why everyone was after Eren. Can't wait until they animate that part of Attack on Titan.
  5. I'm reading the source material. Already finishing up A Storm of Swords. As I pointed out in previous posts, there are a lot of differences between the series and the books. I hated Joffrey and I still hate him. Jaime, I used to hate him, but after what happened to him, I'm somewhat rooting for him. Tyrion, now that's one character you can be surprised with. Despite his moral standing and blunt tactlessness, he is an upstanding guy. I'm actually rooting for him.
  6. Oddly enough, this is a familiar series, yet I have not even started reading it. Looks like it has the same premise as GTO, considering it's from the same author.
  7. It's similar to the High Frequency Sword of the Guyvers. You know, those things on their arms that turns into swords? They vibrate so that it can cut through almost anything. I think he got that when he was Chaos Aptom.
  8. I'm 5 seasons late, but I've recently started watching this series. I've heard a lot about this in the past, but never really paid any attention until I got curious a week ago. I find this interesting with the way the characters react to certain situation. Well, I'm still at episode 3 of season 1 so I don't know much about it, but the first episode starts of very interesting.
  9. Do you think this still applies today? I mean, a lot of people no longer think deeply about the names of their child. With the likes of North West (Kanye West) and Queen Elizabeth (Manny Pacqiao), it makes me think that people are now too lazy to think of names for their child. For us, we are required to think carefully on the names of our children, as aside from an English name, we have to give them a Chinese name. English names are easy, but for Chinese names, you have to be careful with the characters you use. Like a simple name such as Anna, we have to write it in a way that it literally means Safe and graceful.
  10. I guess what's wanting in majority in the "west" are natural foods. I mean over here, there is always a wet market around the corner. That's probably an advantage to an agriculturally rich region, that you get to see a lot more "fresh" produce. I'm sure these are also present over there, but at a limited area or at high prices. Also adding to my statement on MSG, over here, MSG is mostly dominant on processed and junk food. You find them on the shelves of the supermarket. But they are seldom included normal everyday foods. There are even restaurants that put on a sign "no MSG" in their establishment. I'm now more inclined to think that the current state of how people eat in the US is based on the manipulation of giant corporations.
  11. He does have his stealth ability as well as his high frequency spear, plus all the other abilities he has acquired in the past. With the amount of zoanoids that Cablarl absorbed and while he turned Chaos Aptom, who knows what kind of abilities he might have. It might be even possible he can generate a barrier now. I am curious though if he can absorb a bioboost creature. As far as I know, he wasn't able to absorb the guyver because he was stopped by the control medal.
  12. Although it was published that volume 30 will be released on the 26th, the actual book was already available on the 25th. I'm sure the first 20 guys who pre-ordered the books via GA will have their copies soon. As to the chapter, looks like more conversation between Balcus and Shin.
  13. Should I post this here?
  14. The gory parts are just coincidental. You get glued to the story because of the political situations and how each player handles them. When I first watched Game of Thrones, I was with Team Ned and I was rooting for the Starks. Now? I'm not quite so sure who's the good guy. Even though allegiances switch, you don't exactly get the typical "team up" scenario. Do note that this is an era where they value honor over life. So it's pretty clever how each character treats each other.
  15. Heh, while were at it, why don't we mix in some 50 shades into the equation. Given that Shizu has this strong sense to serve Agito, what if Christian Grey comes into the picture and swoons her off her feet, dispensing her his infamous S&M habits. He just might be one of the higher up of Cronos given his vast wealth and influence.
  16. WWII weapons would be like peashooters to Zoanoids with the exception of nukes. It may be interesting to pit "twilight" vampires to zoanoids, but Guyvers are way out of their league. The Volturi are weak and their strength only comes from their numbers and special individuals they posses. The cullens would stand victorious if they face the volturi on a one of one match. In fact, if you look closely, there is dissent from the Volturi ranks. The only reason they still serve the volturi is because of fear.
  17. Zoanoids against sentai? Two words: Squishy heel.
  18. Would the Guyver feel any pain? I mean, since bioboosting usually replaces some parts of his body, won't it be logical to take out the pain receptors as well? It seems to me that doning the g-unit gives you an equivalent body of a soldier. Wouldn't soldiers benefit from having no pain?
  19. Despite having the title of "Guyver Killer", how many Guyvers have they actually killed versus how many were killed by Guyvers? Would smashing their head automatically kill them? If it would, I'd just pop off their heads before they have the chance to regenerate. If not, blind them with the head beam and cut-off their head. Once cut, throw their head as far as possible and see headless enzymes groping for their heads. Or cut off one of their arms and use them to flay the other enzymes. The only reason Shou got killed was due to his hesitation.
  20. Misunderstood would be the most appropriate term for Alchanfel rather than villanous. I think that term should be reserved for Guyot and the renegades. Regarding the gigantic vs alchanfel, the creators must know something that we don't that would make them turn tail and run. Using this as a basis, I would think that the gigantic would be able to defeat alky. Why else would the creators order alky to destroy guyver 0 immediately despite alky easily dispatching him? As we have seen so far, Shou has been able to dispatch zoalords after zoalords using the Gigantic. I would not count Agito's encounter with the other zoalords since he has yet to fully utilize the gigantic during his fights. It seems that the Gigantic can be powerful, not in terms of raw power as demonstrated by Agito, but in terms of creativity which Shou fully utilized.
  21. Of course there would be an organization behind the creators. Why would they need to develop beings fit for their army? I'm sure they have their own wars to wage.

    Guyot?

There is this term we use that literally translates to "bad weed". This denotes that no matter what kind of harm happens, this person will still keep on living. Come to think of it, it's no longer surprising that Guyot survived. He's that type of character that refused to die no matter what happens. This kind of stature are typically reserved for "annoying" characters or characters that are just plain evil. I think Guyot falls into the later.
  23. Don't you think that sentai has become a cliche? The portrayal of a red ranger has become synonymous with being a goody two shoes hero. It is always considered heroic in a strictly stereotypical way. Please read this wiki article about a Japanese group parodying sentai to the point that a movie was made out of their skit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanjani_Sentai_Eightranger
  24. I'm actually surprised that you guys were able to stomach watching sentai. I make no offense when I say that. I just felt that sentai has not evolved since I started watching it when I was still a kid. Story-wise they may be different, but the concept remains the same that it has became somewhat predictable for me. Comparing sentai from different eras, it still follows the same formula. Not so sure about the latest iteration, but perhaps you guys can educate me.
