  1. Part 7, Steel Ball Run, was supposedly not part of the story, and it's about a western version of Joestar and speedwagon. A re-imagining so to speak. And then one day, they just decided to slap it as Part 7. And now Part 8 is a continuation of Steel Ball Run.
  2. So can we say that Iron Man has an advance version of a 3D printer that he can whip up a suit of armor in a matter of hours? It was short work when he managed to rediscover vibranium in Iron Man 2. But it still doesn't matter, as we all know how rich Tony Stark is. It is a cool idea though, you design your wheels, and just let the printer do the building for you. If I had that capability, I'd print my own Lamborghini Diablo. A Lamborghini Aventador would be nice too.

There are several options to your questions depends on how you order. Be it ordering the physical book or just pledging, the answer will be the same. The English translated manga will be sent to you in digital form. To be clear, you are ordering the actual book. Or if you have the actual book, just show proof of ownership and the digital file will be sent to you. The group is advocating the purchase of the Guyver Books, whether it is through Japan Legend or through other means. The spirit of the Guyver Advocacy is to own the actual books, and give the book owners the pleasure of reading the books they own in a language they will understand.
  4. That's the problem with shonen manga these days. Two opponents keep on one upping the other. Gone are the days in Naruto where the fights really involve critical thinking, and doesn't really rely on strength alone. They should be outsmarting each other, not beating one another senseless.
  5. I think guyverfan was referring to his experience in building your own car. And since one car has literally thousands of parts, it may come costly to buy the raw materials used for 3D printing instead of buying one outright. I am under the impression that a 3D printer is very costly, as well as the materials you need to print in 3D.
  6. I've read all of it, well, until Stone Ocean (Part 6). Didn't quite like how they portrayed Jotaro as a secondary character seeing that he was the one who finally kicked Dio's @$$ and ended the family curse (sort off). I agree that Stardust Crusaders is one of the best seeing that is the part where they introduce the stand. There were a lot of funny moments and the fight scenes were certainly great. Part 4 was not so good to me, since I feel this is more of a side story. Part 5 was ok, as we are dealing with Dio's (sort of) offspring, Giorno Giovanna. I'm somewhat staying away from part 7 & 8, as this is set in an alternate timeline.
  7. I can't say that it was unexpected. Like all climax, the villains will always achieve their ultimate goal, but will only be short lived due to the intervention of the last remaining hero who is down on his luck. This is looking exactly like a typical shonen manga having the exact same formula. I'm wondering if whether Kishimoto is already running out of materials or his editor is forcing him into that direction. For now, I would give it the ratings of "meh". and since I've followed it this long, might as well see it through to the finish. This is similar with Bleach. But One Piece always surprises me every week.
  8. I would think that there is an exception in that. Perhaps all the countries in the western hemisphere of the world, but might not be applicable to some nations in Asia. The article actually doesn't make sense to me. At least in a business sense. If there are too many cars, why would a company simply write them off? It would be preferable that they sell them off at below cost, at least they would somehow recover their losses. It's common sense, if you can't sell something, better to sell them cheap than throw them away. Not to mention the carrying cost of maintaining such inventory. With that many cars, you need space, and space is not cheap. It does not sound like a proper business practice to me. If companies keep doing that, they would have ceased operations already. There is no way a company could afford the insane salary of a CEO if they keep losing money like that. I feel that the article is biased somehow. I don't think the author is showing the whole picture. Actually a lot of writers manipulate the data to prove their point despite getting the facts skewed. As I always say, take anything from the internet with a grain of salt. A lot of people get in trouble because they believed the wrong information.
  9. I don't know about you guys, but the trend in Asia is different. Car manufacturers over here has an astounding double digit growth. Currently the brands that are being sold over here are Toyota, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Honda, Nissan, Ford, GM and Subaru, which are only some of the most popular brands. Then mix them in with some luxury cars as BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche and Volvo. And believe it or not, we also have the china made Chery QQ, and a new one only costs around $4,000. Not to mentioned that all these considering our unemployment rate is above 10%. I think the Japanese car manufacturers are now conquering the automotive market. Probably due to the cost to manufacture them since most of the part came from china. Their cars are also designed to be built less expensive due to the bulk. Mileage may also play a factor. the Honda Jazz is probably one that has the best mileage, with a reported 16km/liter (or 37 miles/gallon). People here change cars like they are clothes. I guess one factor is that some company also subsidizes the purchase of a car. My neighbor just bought a Toyota Altis through his company payable in 5 years, with the company shouldering around 30% of the cost.
  10. I prefer the manga as it gives more details to the characters. The movie felt somehow rushed, but still good nonetheless. I think it might be better to watch the movie first and then compare the manga. If you find the movie great, then the manga will blow you away.
  11. Hey don't look at me. I've done my job using the Chinese scans despite my apprehensions on using them. I think everyone is waiting on the Japanese scans just to make sure that the names of the attacks are correct.
  12. Hacking to the gate. This was used as the opening theme of Steins;Gate. Very catchy song. This is one of the great opening songs that I didn't fast forward when watching the anime. This is the music video performed by Kanako Ito.
  13. Does any of you know that a new live action Rurouni Kenshin movie was made? It's sort of a sequel to the first movie which deals with Shishio. Now this is interesting. I've read that this will be released on August 1, 2014.
  14. I never really got into Lupin III. I know it's good, but I guess I don't have any incentive to watch the show. Especially that it's an old series. Also, I'm now regretting that I've read spoilers for steins;gate. Spoilers never really bothered me, but based on the pacing of the show, it seems like they wanted to surprise the viewers. I'm sure it would have more emotional value should I watched it without reading spoilers. I stopped reading spoilers and I'm already at episode 20, so I don't know what will happen next. Hopefully I won't get disappointed when I finally finish the series. But I have to say, the concept is very appealing to me.
  15. Ah, health issues. How nice it is to be young and carefree. Let's talk about this again after 10 years. I used to be like that. Eat whatever I wanted without a care in the world. I was able to eat two whole pizza by myself in one sitting. Then a lot of my friends started getting sick. Now there's too many things they can't eat. They had too many medications for maintenance, and it's something that will make you think: Do you want to be like them? Maybe some of their habits rubbed off on me. At least I'm proud to say that I'm free from any form of medication. You guys are right though. It's not for me to say what you can and can't eat. Enjoy your life by all means. I'm just saying that if and when we hang out, I won't be able to keep up with you guys. Good God! I feel so old just saying that.
  16. Actors typically doesn't want to be typecast. That's the main reason they leave a franchise. As everyone is aware, Leonard Nimoy will forever be known as Spock. That's what most actors want to avoid. As for the movie, it would be a great pull if they managed to convince all the previous actors to reprise their roles, mash them up together and see where it gets. As for the Giant robots, I'm more inclined on seeing them the traditional way. CGI just don't cut it. It makes them look so fake. This is already a decade old technology so I don't see any reason why Hollywood wouldn't be able to replicate, or at least improve upon it.
  17. Eating too much porkchops isn't really helping your heart. Actually, eating too much of anything is bad for you no matter what they are. I use to love porkchops, but now I'm leaning more on steaks. Filet Mignon, medium rare, is by far my favorite steak. Had the best one when I was in Indianapolis. Speaking of meat, Kobe beef wasn't as big a deal as I expected. It does melts in your mouth but it's full of fat. Not that it's a bad thing, but I guess this is more of personal preference. Kobe beef is tender, but I prefer the traditional wagyu. There was this restaurant in Japan that we ate and we were first given the traditional Wagyu, and then Kobe beef after to compare. In terms of tenderness, Kobe beef wins hands down. But in terms of taste, I prefer the traditional Wagyu.
  18. Oh and to add, I think that the franchise would endure up to this time if Saban didn't use stock footage. It would have been better if they copied instead of used the original series, then they slowly evolved into their own version of Power Rangers. The Power Rangers actually had a lot of potential, given the following they had in their original run. They relied too much on the original version that they didn't even consider how the fans viewed the source material. Such a shame really. It's not very difficult to come up with your own version of the power rangers. Look at where Sentai is now. Trains? I'm willing to bet that some of our hardcore friends in this forum could come up with a better concept for a sentai series. They should have hired a chief creative officer to manage the direction of the series. I can go on all day about what went wrong and how they should have done things, but that's a subject for another topic, which I'm sure a lot of our friends here have a lot to say about.
  19. Highly doubtful that this will revive the franchise. The first movie was actually way worse than the Power Ranger series itself. I mean seriously, half baked CGI? They should at least put up a decent special effects even if the story isn't that great. Look at all the Sentai movies created all these years. I can boldly say that the story part is a bit wanting, but fans don't see it for the story, but because they want to see their favorite characters collaboration. It's the perfect excuse to lump all the different series into one screen. Now if lionsgate can pull this off, maybe, just maybe, they can revive the franchise without having to borrow much stock footage. I think it would be wise to make a movie out of all the different Power Rangers that appeared in the franchise into one single movie, like how the Japanese guys does it. But I still doubt that will happen. Saban has always been borrowing materials from the oriental counterpart for as long as I can remember.
  20. The way to avoid rice sticking and burning in the pan is to use low flame. Rice don't normally stick on the pan unless you are cooking it in high heat. There will be residue, but with just the right amount of temperature, these can be easily washed off if soaked in soap and water for a few minutes. Your combination is a bit interesting, as I know that curry and sweet corn goes well together. If teriyaki sauce is available to you, you might want to include it in the combination and use that instead of vegetable stock.
  21. Knowledge is useless without the proper wisdom to use it. -me
  22. Steins;Gate looks interesting. Got really curious as this is a top rated show next to Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan). Although there is no flashy graphics or mind blowing special effects, the story itself is interesting. It revolves heavily on the urban legend of John Titor, who claims to be a time traveler. It is rare that the story alone keeps me hooked on the series.
  23. With the recent episodes of GoT, I myself have been surprised by what's happening in the HBO series. There seems to be a lot more materials popping out that weren't in the books. There were even some information that are revealed this early but was only stated in another at a later time. Could this be a sign of what is to come from GRRM's 6th and 7th book? Or are they rushing the series to it's finale due to the age of the actors? For one, the actress playing Arya is getting taller and older, and in the later books, she's still a small child.
  24. Page 16 red text at top: "Unit" Activated!? red text at top right: Lisker Activity starts!! black text: Max who visits Mizuki's home, he questions her about the relationship with Tetsu and Cronos. What Mizuki knows, is that her father and Tetsu works as scientists for the Cronos Corporation. Looking at Mizuki's manners, that was it for Sean. Sean somehow cheered Mizuki when she was dejected during her father's death. She was thankful for that, because Max was inside the room, the sudden visit did not hide the annoyance in his face. With Sean having doubts, he discovered Max when he hid in the shadows of the window, misunderstood what was happening between the two. Sean who was in despair, said goodbye to Mizuki, riding the bike, and turned back. At that time, Lisker who received his orders from Balcus, together with Striker and Ramsy, and accompanied by his mistress Weber, continued to search for the unit. searching the footprints of Tetsu, Striker and the others went to look into the trash bag. However, they could not locate the unit, Lisker's face turned purple and walked away. What hand is left to him-? blue text at top: Wanting to console a heartbroken Mizuki, Sean tried hsi best to create a smile. However, he saw the image of Max inside the room, what disappointment. blue text at middle: Sean who was down, running away with his bike, such return was an unexpected situation.... blue text at bottom: speaking with a Kansai accent slang, they continued their search. The muscular girl on the left picture, is the mistress of Lisker, Weber. [tl note: I have no idea what kansai accent slang is, or how it sounds like. but that's what is written there. I'm guessing this is more of a Japanese dubbed thing.]
  25. On page 20, I think that is fine. The author is actually putting emphasis on the "usage of words". As for page 21, It's was saying that there was a rumor about a woman peeking from the window while hearing the sound of a violin. She is talking about another house which she remembers. Or were you referring to the "being rough" part? It means that she can get rowdy as much as she wants.
