I'm thinking if I should translate this by page by page, or should I translate the whole chapter before posting. On one hand, if I post this by page, the time in-between post would be a lot shorter, but it will be a pain to follow the story especially when the good stuff are happening. On the other hand, if I post this by chapter, the story will be easier to follow but it would take me a long time to finish one whole chapter. In any case, I just finished 2 pages and still considering if I should post it now or just finish the whole chapter before I post. It normally doesn't take me long to translate, but I have priorities that limits my time. This particular 2 page for example, just took me a few minutes, probably 15 minutes if you include the editing. But I'm not sure when I'll have the chance to find time to translate again.

That's actually a good choice if you want to know more about the UC universe in general. Skip to Z Gundam only if you are interested in the rivalry between Amuro and Char. 0083 actually leads directly to Z Gundam. Animation-wise, 0083 is top notch as even my brother who is not interested in Anime whatsoever really liked 0083.

If strategy is your cup of tea, you might want to check out SD Gundam G Generation series.

Speaking of Z Gundam, one of the reasons why I liked it so much is also because of the second opening theme. Mizo no Hoshi e Ai wo Komete was also composed by Neil Sedaka. Celebrating Gundam's 40th anniversary, the original singer of the song will release an album covering various songs from the Gundam Franchise. Here is one of the re-arranged version: Despite her age, Moriguchi Hiroko is still lovely as ever.

As far as I understand it, Newtypes are the "new type" of humans who have evolved due to their migration of space. This is what Zeon Zum Deikun has been advocating, which the Zabi family twisted. But newtypes are not the Deux Ex Machina of the franchise (to some degree), as even the strongest Newtype ends up tragically. They are mentioned most of the time because of how they are very good pilots, but the only time that they manifest physically is during critical events. One example is by Amuro from Char's Counterattack. You'll have to watch that to see what I mean. Z Gundam explores the newtypes in more detail as they introduced the enhanced humans, people who are made into newtypes artificially, though with some psychological side effect.

The thing is, he is supposed to be stuck in a fantasy world based on a game. Motoyasu, Ren and Itsuki have already played a game similar to this prior to their transportation to this world, which is why they have the advantage. But despite their knowledge, nothing beats the raw hard work that Naofumi put through to improve himself.

Yeah, there are a lot of interesting story from the Novels. They may be alternate or side stories, but they sometimes get the canon treatment. Unicorn Gundam is one of these. It initially started as a novel, then an Original Video Animation, then a full TV series. I think the next one will be Hathaway's Flash. I really do hope they animate Sentinel Gundam.

Speaking of other non-anime Gundam Series, I quite enjoyed Sentinel Gundam. I know I posted the translation in this board somewhere, I just can't find it right now. I'm actually tempted to buy the 1/100 MG Ex-S Gundam Deep Striker Gunpla.

You know, I actually liked Z Gundam. Though Camille can be too emo sometimes, at least Bright was there to b!tch slap him. Z Gundam in particular is my favotire Gundam, but the transformation is too cumbersome (speaking gunpla-wise). Heck, I have the SD, MG and PG models. Speaking of Bright Noa, he is probably one of the most notable characters in the Gundam Universe, as he is practically present in almost all of the series.

Also one reason to focus on the Universal Century is that a lot of other universe heavily borrows elements from UC. Most Staple is the Char Aznable Stereotype. It's very hard to miss this in every other series. Although you can watch them chronologically, you can also skip the other UC timelines if you want to focus of the characters. Amuro Ray, for example, is the main character of the original Gundam. He is present in Z Gundam but not as the main character. Then he returns in Char's Counterattack. Though the side stories are enjoyable on their own. War in the Pocket specifically is a tear jerker. Also noted that Hathaway's flash is missing from the timeline, but then again, Hathaway's flash hasn't been released in animation form yet. I'd also like to comment of the Seed timeline, Seed, for me is tolerable, but Seed Destiny is too emo for me. Not to mention the appearance of Jesus Yamato. Yeesh. Also, I've been told to avoid G-Saviour, although out of all the franchise, this is the only one that I have never seen. Oh, this and Turn Away Gundam.

It's good to see someone who is willing to start off Gundam with the Original series instead of starting off on Wing Gundam. I'd definitely recommend watching the original series. If it is too daunting for you, you can watch the 3 compilation movies instead. It compresses the whole series into 3 separate movies. As for the alternate universe, you can watch them freely as they are not related to the Universal Century. G Gundam happens to be my favorite Gundam and it's a must watch if you like martial arts. A little bit of info as well, G Gundam was directed by Yasuhiro Imagawa who is famous for directing Giant Robot Series like Giant Robo, Getter Robo Armageddon and Tetsujin28 to name a few, so you will notice some themes that are consistent with Super Robot Series. G Gundam also happens to be the first Gunpla I built. Can't believe it has been 20 years already since. I'm still sore that the English port of G Gundam mutilated the series naming convention. Build Figthers seems to be missing from that list though.

Well, I've finally caught up with the anime and it seems that they are going into the Cal Mira Arc. That much is obvious seeing L'arc in the opening credits. But with the limited number of episodes left, (assuming this is a 26 episode season), I wonder how much they will cram into these last few episodes. Another thing that draws me to the anime is that it explains some of the stuff that I glossed over in the Light Novel.

One thing why I liked this series better than Overlord is that the Light Novel is finished (I think). While Overlord, we're still stuck on volume 13 waiting for the next volume to come out. I've started binge watching the anime and saw that they cut out a lot of stuff. Not critical stuff, but just some stuff giving more details to specific events. So far I'm up to episode 14 and it's still interesting despite having read beyond the story arc already. While there are subtle similarities between Overlord and Shield Hero, one that distinguishes them from each other is that Momoga has dumb luck on his side, while Naofumi has the will and right sense in making decisions. I just hope that this doesn't turn out to be a harem.

Just finished watching Gundam Narrative after binge rewatching Gundam Unicorn. Impressed with the animation style, but not so much for the story. I kinda find the story to be shallow in fact.

So, anybody following this? I've known for a long time that this came from a light novel, but actively chose to ignore it as I know I'll love it. They adopted this into Manga and eventually an anime series was created. Well, I'm currently reading the manga and the light novels, but have yet to see the anime. So far, I liked the first story arc where the main protagonist was treated poorly, that was the fun part. It started getting predictable when the status of the protagonist started improving. What do you guys think about this series?

Isn't Arnie getting too old for this $#!T? But I have to admit, it's not a terminator movie without the original terminator.

If Superman was a naughty kid. Lol. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a super hero movie or a horror movie. But looking at the trailer, this is most likely a horror movie.

Not to sound like a prude or anything, but I contributed to almost 90% of the content in the late wiki, even laid out the foundations of it yet you don't see me complain about it being lost. I should be the one most upset about it being gone seeing how much time and energy I put into it. But well, that's life. If you can't get past something so trivial as that, it'll be very hard to do so in the real world. To be fair with Jess, she did try all sorts of things to salvage all the content. However, the damage was too severe for it to have any use. If you're going to ask me to do it again, I am willing, but unfortunately, I no longer have the time or energy for those sort of things. I'm not getting any younger you know.....

You have to wonder, given how much output Takaya gives for the manga, does his pay as Mangaka enough to cover his daily expenses? Just playing around with the idea, but perhaps he has a day job now?
