WOW! That looks cool man, good idea. the first attempt looks a bit strange with no spike or detail but i imagine it will look a lot better once you have built up the new pieces you made, put details on and painted it etc etc. good luck with it all!

Omegablast Aptom. if the headsculpt and your quality control is anything to go by it should come out well. i can understand you wanting to get it just right. i think the more customs you do you get a feel for what you can achieve and the more you do the better you can achieve. i havent made anything like this before. in the past i have made some modifications to a few things. but never made anything from scratch, and none of them Guyver related. btw what are your plans for the body?? is it in scale with the BFC max figures??

anyway back on topic... i dont really get the pros or cons of all this Baka buisness but heres my opinion on the arcs... i see what you did with the 'exceed'ingly long night arc Ryuki! seeing as it lasted 7 books and the outcome was MASSIVE! i think to get them accurate you'd need to do it by chapters, rather than by books , but heres my quick opinion, the names might not be the best, but i think they are split up ok: 1. 1 Guyer activation Arc 2. 2-5 Fighting Cronos Japan Arc 3. 6-8 Relics Point Arc 4. 9 -X day Arc 5. 10-13 Gigantic Arc 6. 14-17 Cronos Arizona Arc 7. 18- 25 Rescue Aptom Arc 8. 26-28 What the Hell is gong on? arc / Who is Apollyon?? Arc reasons: 1. Sho activates the guyver 2. Battles between lost numbers, HZT 5, Enzymes etc. 3. They go to Relics point! 4. X day - a pretty big event by anyones standards 5. Gigantic fights 6. Makashimi takes it to Cronos 7. Hmmmm... they go to rescue Apyom at cloud gate for 7 flippin books 8. well - i dont know!!.

i cant believe anyone would watch a 150 min review of anything, let alone these 2 idiots bashing the Guyver. i wasted 2 mins, they wasted 150 mins of their life on this and even longer because they had to cut it together etc. etc. i feel in the immortal words of the cockneys ''they've mugged themselves right off''

haha. i know you do, thats why i put what i thought because i disagree with you. i think despite being said slightly diferent we are thinking along the same lines. depends how you define 'acting', and your thoughts on the actual interaction of unit and host. but i certainly dont think the unit would activate weapons of its own accord while Sho is conscious anymore though. that would be conflicting, it would be like having a punching action as a nervous twitch,and even in a fight it would be distracting if its not part of your overall strategy.

the first time he became the Guyver Sho was unconsciousand the armour was in survival mode, but after that like i said there must have been a learning period when Sho did think what he wanted and the armour acted accordingly but thats to be excpected, i presume the organism was getting used to its modified human form, just as much as Sho was getting used to his Guyver form.

I think this goes back to the VDF where we are told that Sho becomes one with the Guyver, in short - the whole of the Guyver is Sho's body- hes not inside it, he is it . So Sho firing a headbeam is just like a snake spraying venom, it happens because it wants it to happen, because it wills it to happen, because it knows it has it at its disposal and warrants it necessary at that moment as a means of defense. i agree that there is clearly 2 modes here 1. Sho conscious where he is in control and 2. Sho unconscious where the Guyver organism is in control i dont think it was this easily distinguishable at first though. Maybe Sho did think basically what he wanted and the armour acted accordingly but now i think Sho has a total handle on what the armour can do and so he is totally in control, deciding which weapon is best for the job of how to smash Zoanoids to bits. however i dont think the Guyver armour does act while Sho is conscious, otherwise he would be conflicted. Sho has been Bio Boosted so along with what it does to his body, Sho senses what the unit senses because they become his sensory organs - because Sho needs to react to it, otherwise sho would just kind of be in an exoskeleton with the machine defending him inside without him even driving it. i dont think thats how it is, Sho is responsible for his (and the oganisms ) survival as soon as he calls the suit because they are both the GUYVER!! Sho is responsible when he's conscious wearing the suit and the unit is responsible when he's unconscious.. its like a tag team, one in one out, but working as a team on the whole.

Ah i see! Ok i get what you mean about a sort of steering wheel effect. if it was just a 2d non all singing and dancing piece i would insist the centralising would be better in my opinion, but seeing as there is a reason you did it i fully appreciate why.. as for the mock up of your next intentions it looks great i like the way its popping off like a piece of armour with a bit still attached. nice. a 'bloom' effect is maybe what i was thinking, but i've just thought... if the centre is supposed to be lit up, is there anyway to have it one shade when the sections are not 'activated' and then have it change to a lighter shade when they are?? so when the fwoosh (white whispy energy type stuff) appears the central bit could appear to glow - like when the guyver bioboosts and the eyes light up along with the fwoosh! sorry if i'm getting carried away or didnt fully understood your already outlined artistic vision!

i like where this design is going.. a few suggestions from me: 1. Centralise the words in the segments ( i did a really rough mock up to see the difference) 2. Make the words darker so they stand out more. if not in black then a shade approaching black. at the moment i think theyre a little too subtle.... or make them lighter to be really noticeable, but it depends what overall feel you want. 3. have some kind of shading in the central red parts of the medallion 4. consider a minor glow effect around the medallion or emanating from the centre??? apart from those small things i think its going really well !

a thought i had - I dont know how hard it would be, if you would be bothered or if you already thought of it Odin, but what would be cool is when you did the video for youtube if you inserted some of the footage from the things you are talking about (in this case the games ) or even just stills from a series, e.g if Ryuki talks about a Jdrama stick a few stills from the show on the youtube video.etc. just a suggestion

thanks dude. IMO The illustrator Mizuki Kei's art looks similar to Takayas earlier stuff. i wonder if that was done on purpose to match his style at the time?. which begs the question - when was this book published??

thanks for the scanlation guys. i think this chapter would have seemed less 'recappy' if the last one wasnt so blatantly recappy aswell. it makes sense they would sit and discuss what had happened. It wasnt a total waste of pages, to me it came across that Apollon was helping Tetsuro and Mizuki rather than having intention to harm them (of course he may want to use them another way, but...?) as for Apollon's lair.....excellent. is Takaya intentionally toying with our minds because the instant thought is Silha, but all it is is a temple setting and there is surely more than one ancient temple knocking about ? its obvious but its not. just whats going on????

well in that tweet he did say he pitched the idea ''many years back'' so maybe those rights issues have changed? maybe if we start a little momentum he might run with it? if what Lordspleech says is true then he obviously still has some love for the Guyver, so it can't harm to try can it??

Yeah dude, an amazing bit of live action anime. i like the way they spent the time and effort to set the fight up in a believable way that fits the series. it made me laugh when Rock Lees thinking of what time to meet to have the fight, they captured the character really well. on the costume front i think Lees sock things looked just a bit too homemade ! just imagine what these guys could do with a hollywood budget!! i cant wait for part 2 ... 3rd gates open so they could do some real justice to Lee's style of fighting if part 1 is anything to go by.
