thanks guys... so if the dub merged the final 4 original episodes does that mean i could watch 40 eps in english and then watch the final 4 of the japanese version??

can anyone explain why the dub has 43 eps and the original 49?? does it make a big difference? did they just miss the first 6 eps or was it random throughout the series? iknow the first eps are completely different but apart from that i know nothing!! i am contemplating watching this, but i have got so much stuff subbed i wouldnt mind giving my eyes a rest and just listening to a dub!!! so if anyne could explain it would be great!

not necessarily dude. we didnt even see Guyot land on the ground. if something wasnt seen it could have happened. from the time the relic was being destroyed until he's on the hill with the Zoalords we dont see what Alcanphel does... having said that though i dont see why he would retrieve the Remover and not finish off Guyot at the same time.

well for anime figures the figuarts DBZ are the closest to Toriyamas designs that have ever been made (and thats sad to say for how long DB has been around) but for Tokusatsu im not sure... im not sure about them looking plain and boring? i think i would rather have a representation of a character rather than an artists / sculptors impression. speaking of real have you seen the RAH or Hot Toys figures?? back to figuarts and SIC, as far as that goes all i can speak on is Garo as its the only SIC figure i have - heres a comparison in pics of the detail on those figures... in this case Garo looks much better in the SIC version, you get a feel of the weight of his armour and the detail on the armour is great which is nt present on the figuarts at all. its just a shame the articluation isnt up to par on the SIC - its adiquate to get some nice standard action poses but its just not good for a super dynamic pose!! SIC SHFiguarts

@ Dave yeah Alcanphels suit was pretty snazzy! who doesnt love a cravat!? so are you saying the 'next to' is throwing you ?? because as you said there arent any illustrations to back up anything like that, as they are all purely of the spaceships... i wont pretend to know what particles are outside of physics! but i would say that if the phrase ''manufacturing 'equipment' lifeforms'' is to be read as one then it would make sense if read as '' lifeform manufacturing 'equipment''

i only have one S.I.C figure and that is the re release/ re articulated Garo figure.. all i can say is if you want to pose the heck out of a Garo figure get a figuarts, but if you want limited posability but an awesome sculpt then get the SIC because as amazing as it looks its articulation is crap. it falls apart all the time when you move it. it s one of the worst figures ive ever had and its supposed to be better than the older release for posability!, in this day and age of figuarts, figma and revoltech i cant understand how they could actually release such a poorly articulated figure.. i dont know how the other SIC figures compare?? However from Figuarts you can get super dynamic poses and your figure wont fall apart...also they are usually generous with accessories - the amount of stuff with dbz trunks was insane (but vegetas were lame). i got sucked in by the DBZ figures, i also got a Dekared figure aswell 1. because it was cool and 2. because it was relatively cheap

watched ep 40 last night and have seen Enter be even more cool. i get your point Odin, i think what i meant is that i hope those things are resolved with some kind of slight twist or in an epic way so that it just doesnt plod on to the end and not deliver a 'bon fin' speaking of which reminds me of Magiranger, and the fact that Magi yellow is Beet Buster / Jin (its the same actor Matsumoto Hiroya)!!!! did anyone else notice this, does anyone else care???

unfortunately ive heard of them.. upon hearing of them i saw them and then i forced myself to part with hard earned ebay selling cash to get the damn things... this is after supposedly giving up collecting figures for a few years - but like you say they are fantastic!! what series do you like?

i havent heard of natsume yuujinchou san and havent seen Gintama, but this discussion reminds me of the '' if you like Naruto..'' thread where you asked for recommendations.. in there i remember saying i was going to give Bleach a try but that i didnt excpect much. Ive always thought even without seeing it that Naruto would be better than it, but you have all the fanboys saying oh Bleach is way cooler so i had to check it out for myself... well now i can categorically state after seeing over 160 eps of Bleach that it is nowhere near as good as Naruto. nowhere near. dont get me wrong (apart from the anime filler which is annoyingly long and mostly crap introducing annoying crap characters) it is enjoyable, it is cool, it kind of is a bit DBZ with swords ( and i suspect its popular with some males because of the female characters chests present - even competing with Tsunade chans!) but seriously, compared to Naruto Bleach has no,... has no soul (which is an ironic thing to say for a series about 'soul reapersi / shinagam /death gods) anyway currently its the only anime that im watching apart from Naruto, and after nearly 2 years of saving episodes i only just watched the five kage summit Arc which was ufkin amazin!! but now im back to some filler....

i agree Go-Busters is a good series and also Super sentai rules over PR.. i did a Dekaranger SPD comparison and i'll never watch PR again! anyway... i think im on ep 39 or 40. ive been enjoying this series and have only just caught up this far, the thing is though i thought when they went to the sub dimension that that would be the main overall story, so when it happened about 14 eps ago i was like WTF?? and then when space sherriff Gavan popped up i was like WTF x10??? they kind of saved it with the whole Messiah cards thing. it goes without saying the series is super cool , mecha , fighting, slick style etc. but im seriously hoping that something else major happens so that it will save the series. otherwise as good as it is, i think they may have made a mistake in finishing that part of the story how / when they did...

Aptom ponders on how powerful he could be by absorbing a Zoalord - unfortunatly for him the first one he comes across is Archanfel!! and it doesnt end too well for him!! observations: chapter 35 gives us a breakdown on the info and weapons of the Guyvers. a great mini databook for some reference on the Guyvers. here it equates the megasmasher to a minature big bang!!!! by 'defying the law of conservation of energy', (which is): "Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, however energy can be converted from one form of energy to any other form of energy" so because Guyver literally destroys the matter of its opponent it is considered godly, with enough energy to create universes!?!?!?!!! im not sure i agree, though surely theres some kind of heat released or something when the Zoanoids die by the Megasmasher and even if there isnt, there will still be ZPE released back into the universe. so there. in chapter 37 Odigari reveals more about the Creators or the 'Advents' (i didnt realise this was even used n the western translation!!! -durrrrrrrr). chuang yi sticks with creators, but something got my interest in their translaltion of these pages talking about the Advents spaceships.... i dont think the private forum idea would be a barrier to newcomers if we had a version for inside the forum and still host the html for the public... anyway, ive made my point that i love a scanlation but that i am also fully behind the HTML, so whatever happens happens. i must say i love the idea of doing a faux version for release. i say start off subtley and then really start taking the P after a few chapters and see if they notice.

Aptom vs. G1 Sho gets the ability to transform to the Guyver back and vows to fight his way out of the fate he has been dealt. Aptom starts to become a very interesting character and takes over Elegens body! Sho and Mizuki- half naked - get caught in Zoanoid town aka Takeshiro town / takeshiro chrome town 3 / Takeshiro Ginza.... if this is the same place what happened to calling it 'N town' ???(in chuang yi)??? WTF? like i said i was just so carried away by the action in the volume that if i missed something of significance then consider it missed. daveblackeye im sure theres something you might have noticed?, if so let us know!

Ryuki,who has done anything more than you?? it doesnt make sense why the Guyver hasnt been picked up for publishing, maybe the difficulties chuang yi had with kadokowa extended to the native english speaking / reading countries companies aswell???? @ VOTING i think its pointless to have a vote.. we either have a version everyone can access or we dont, the site hosts a stealable version or it doesnt to have a release everyone can access we need to do the html pages, BUT ALSO if we want to keep it private we could have a scanlation accessible to trusted members and if we see fit release a watermarked version. when i say watermark, really i mean a ruined version, with a MASSIVE SIGN PLASTERED on it that you can't even see through that just makes it impossible to read the manga at all, you can barley see the panels because JAPAN-LEGEND.COM is plastered all over it. the point in this ?? - to piss everyone else off and discourage them from even bothering in stealing that version... childish? yes. fun for us? yes. force them to come to JL for the html version? yes. at the end of the day i dont mind what happens as long as the advocacy continues and i / we can continue to understand the guyver story in english. i unashamedly vote for scanlations but to fulfill the requirements of the advocacy i dont see another solution other than the html.

i would suggest an unwatermarked version for trusted members and a massively ridiculously blatant watermark on a public release. however Ryuki has made it plain he wants to stop scanlating for the advocacy so i can respect that. i think that the HTML idea is a very cunning plan!!.. but i will say that i think it sucks for us. i only say this because i like reading the scanlation- im just being honest, however ... the only thing i would ask is that a script would be made available for trusted members when a tankobon is released because i would still want /need to read along with the physical tankobons.

the last time we saw the remover was on Guyots arm as he was blasted with the mega smasher in book 8, in the 2005 anime he was also shown falling to the ground after this with it still on his arm... that is the last time we see Guyot in the anime and in the manga until book 13... i'm guessing wherever Guyot fell he woke u with no zoacrystal but a unit remover on his arm... this could possibly be his leverage with the rebel zoalords and how he persuaded them to process him?
