im confused here.... i cant help as all books i have (italian,chinese, japanese, english, viz) are all already pictured on the merhcandise page, but im intrigued... chuang yi as in chuang yi who published the 10 books in english?? so are these the original singapore releases you are looking for?

im pretty sure that is the 'offical' malaysian version. its what they can sell on ebay as it is a legally produced product for the malaysian market. this is the limited edition japanese one i think not sure about the origonal releases though

strange you got the US one without a menu? its funny i got the korean one thinking it was mutronics but it had dark hero on the disc!! you've got to love ebay! no probs glad to help.

i bought the US release of Dark Hero because it was the widescreen directors cut at 124 mins and i only had an old video taped off sky that a mate gave me years ago, but for obvious reasons its USA title is 'The Guyver 2'. because its region 1 i could only take a snap of it on my awesome 14'' portable tube TV (even the region prog on my laptop wont allow me to play it)... also heres a shot from a bootleg from korea !! (it was the 4:3 version at 95mins) dont know if that was of any use to you, but there you go

i thought VMAT2 was more to do with being more spiritually inclined than the norm, rather than having transcendental experiences?? on the parental thing , i see your reasoning for the hypothesis but i dont think you can ever put one theory on every person. Freud thought we all wanted to sleep with our own mothers and fathers -depending on your sex -- but i think that says more about him than the rest of us! and his work underpins all of modern psyciatry?? true, you could say the concept of God, therefore God is 'manmade',but is God really fictional?is a 'higher' power really fictional?? even if 'it' isnt a stereotypical manifestation of what we might think of God being, can you truly say there isnt something that exsists that made us and we are a part of that we cannot grasp? etc. etc. whether the VMAT 2 has anything to do with it or not i believe that people experience God in their own way even if they are part of the same religion. lets face it there are evil people involved in religion, they can not possibily have a VMAT2 gene or be spiritually inclined - unless its to commune with evil spirits. Also (if you beleieve in it) i think individual spiritual evolution plays a part in what you believe and or experience in a particular lifetime.

no, i dont want a new religion. i dont need any religion. i do meditate. youre preaching to the converted. i was saying that the world needs a new 'religion'. because those that exsist - well definatelythe main 3 anyway, have done more harm than good, because as you said people give up their power and become sheep, and then of course there are the wars. there are always those that will need to be led (spiritually or not ) simply because everyone is different. that then becomes a responsibilty of those leading. if the leader /chief is not a pure person then the community / tribe is in trouble from day one.

i did write a different response to this at first but then i thought, ''did i actually address what you asked?'' i dont know but anyway, heres something a little different.. do a lot of people even care about religion nowadays?? if they want to 'belong' they seem to have to have a facebook accounts and twitter pages etc, massmedia has killed their brains and i dont think they give much thought to god or spirituality. they just live their lives and thats that, which in a way is fine, if thats their path. but anyway.... on one hand organised religions have it the best because they have community spreading unity ( - however in reality there are many, many downsides to them and it also causes segragation at the same time.) on the other hand (i would say) spirtualists have it better because they are actually more in tune to what i would believe god actually is ( and can happily intergrate with whoever and be happy as an individual.) the down side to it (if you want to call it that) is that it is more to do with the individuals relationship to god rather than a celebration with other people. its not to say like minded people cant get together but they 'worship' in a different way. the only happy medium that springs to mind is in monastic communites where it is a mix of both, or maybe modern pagans that still revere nature through polytheism and pantheism and still live their daily lives in our 'normal' society. i honestly would say scrap antiquated religions and start afresh. the real spirituality of religion (if you want to call it that) is always hidden anyway. Muslims have sufism, Judaism has kabbalah and Christianity has some form of gnosticism. where would we start with a new religion though?? it would probably have to be scientific rather than spiritual to be excepted, and that is kind of contradictory. man i was so happy about this until i read kouga wasnt in it mind you i still havent watched series 2 yet so at least i have that to look forward to! i only watched the red requiem movie recently and that was F##n amazing. hopefully it will still be a ood series anyway - i'll probably watchit in a year or so!

i get your point Odin and i fully apperciate the change, i just wish they had stretched it out a bit longer. the mystery may have been something that could have been played out a bit more /longer than 4 eps that is all.i man it was cool how pink and blue got outed and it was that trio who were in the know, but that dynamic was gone in one show... anyway its all good - hopefully

i think it was recently asked at the Max Factory anniversary show if there would be a 2nd tv series, to which the reply was - no. which i am wondering if it is just because Takaya doesnt want to work on it at the moment or at all, or if it is a lack of belief in the franchise to do so by the relevant companies? regaredless if a TV series wasnt viable i wonder if an OVA series would be??

well not sure how much my opinion is important here as according to above im great and wonderful! but i will say that i now think of this in a different light. im working on a manga myself. its hard work. sure im not getting paid at the moment , but when i think of the hard work that goes into the massive amounts of manga that is just acquired like it was nothing, its quite shocking really. anyway its the state of the world we live in but anyway..... regarding this particular situation - i think people complaining about no more free Guyver should put up or shut up. i understand financial difficulties and if i was in a position not to be able to pay i would still find a way to pay even if it took me a year to save the money. Ryuki is not being unreasonable here, in fact hes being more than reasonable. and has even shown he is willing to work with individuals circumstances. he is working ethically for Takaya and people should respect that. if anyone out there thinks he is out to make any £ off of this then they are crazy. its not in his nature. all he wants to do is support Guyver and this is the best way that has manifested. am i being over dramatic here?? no. through being around here 5 years now, i know he wouldnt stoop to such depths. To those who assume that they should get every manga in the world for free including GUYVER then you should really get a time machine and go back a decade and a half and realise just how lucky you are now. so go download every other manga and comic that is produced in the world, unfortunately Guyver wont be available though.

i get the idea that people would want to pay less and still be able to read along, but not wanting to pay for the book because they dont want a book is strange to me. anyway each to their own. i would ask they be recycled rather than burnt though!!!

have you never watched the japanese dub before??? all great characters are voiced by japanese old ladies - i.e Goku and Naruto!

well i started a topic on this wen it was announced but i think the thread got purged. i look forward to this. any DBZ in that new style is all good by me. as far as im concerned they shoud have reanimated all of Kai in that style! the redo of plan to eradicate the saiyans was cool. anyway check this out - a testament that nonone can do marketing like the japanese...... super saiyan hair fries!
